Sacharja 4
1 Und der Engel, der mit mir redete, kam wieder und weckte mich wie einen Mann, der aus seinem Schlafe geweckt wird.
And the angel who was talking to me came again, awaking me as a man out of his sleep.
2 Und er sprach zu mir: Was siehst du? Und ich sprach: Ich sehe, und siehe, ein Leuchter ganz von Gold, und sein Ölbehälter an seinem oberen Ende, und seine sieben Lampen an ihm, sieben, und sieben Gießröhren [O. an ihm, je sieben Gießröhren; wahrsch. ist zu l.: an ihm, und sieben Gießröhren] zu den Lampen, die an seinem oberen Ende sind;
And he said to me, What do you see? And I said, I see a light-support, made all of gold, with its cup on the top of it and seven lights on it; and there are seven pipes to every one of the lights which are on the top of it;
3 und zwei Olivenbäume neben demselben, einer zur Rechten des Ölbehälters und einer zu seiner Linken.
And two olive-trees by it, one on the right side of the cup and one on the left.
4 Und ich hob an und sprach zu dem Engel, der mit mir redete, und sagte: Mein Herr, was sind diese?
And I made answer and said to the angel who was talking to me, What are these, my lord?
5 Und der Engel, der mit mir redete, antwortete und sprach zu mir: Weißt du nicht, was diese sind? Und ich sprach: Nein, mein Herr.
Then the angel who was talking to me, answering me, said, Have you no knowledge of what these are? And I said, No, my lord.
6 Da antwortete er und sprach zu mir und sagte: Dies ist das Wort Jehovas an Serubbabel: Nicht durch Macht und nicht durch Kraft, sondern durch meinen Geist, spricht Jehova der Heerscharen.
This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel, saying, Not by force or by power, but by my spirit, says the Lord of armies.
7 Wer bist du, großer Berg, vor Serubbabel? zur Ebene sollst du werden! Und er wird den Schlußstein [O. Giebelstein] herausbringen unter lautem Zuruf: Gnade, Gnade ihm! -
Who are you, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel you will become level: and he will let all see the headstone, with cries of Grace, grace, to it.
8 Und das Wort Jehovas geschah zu mir also:
Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying,
9 Die Hände Serubbabels haben dieses Haus gegründet, und seine Hände werden es vollenden; und du wirst erkennen, daß Jehova der Heerscharen mich zu euch gesandt hat.
The hands of Zerubbabel have put the base of this house in place, and his hands will make it complete; and it will be clear to you that the Lord of armies has sent me to you.
10 Denn wer verachtet den Tag kleiner Dinge? Und mit Freuden werden jene Sieben das Senkblei in der Hand Serubbabels sehen: die Augen Jehovas, sie durchlaufen die ganze Erde. -
For who has had a poor opinion of the day of small things? for they will be glad when they see the weighted measuring-line in the hand of Zerubbabel. Then he said in answer to me, These seven lights are the eyes of the Lord which go quickly up and down through all the earth.
11 Und ich hob an und sprach zu ihm: Was sind diese zwei Olivenbäume zur Rechten des Leuchters und zu seiner Linken?
And I made answer and said to him, What are these two olive-trees on the right side of the light-support and on the left?
12 Und ich hob zum zweiten Male an und sprach zu ihm: Was sind die beiden Zweige [Eig. Zweigspitzen [W. Ähren]] der Olivenbäume, welche neben den zwei goldenen Röhren sind, die das Gold von sich aus ergießen?
And answering a second time, I said to him, What are these two olive branches, through whose gold pipes the oil is drained out?
13 Und er sprach zu mir und sagte: Weißt du nicht, was diese sind? Und ich sprach: Nein, mein Herr.
And he said in answer to me, Have you no knowledge what these are? And I said, No, my lord.
14 Da sprach er: Dies sind die beiden Söhne des Öls, welche bei dem Herrn der ganzen Erde stehen.
And he said, These are the two sons of oil, whose place is by the Lord of all the earth.
