Psalm 75
1 [Dem Vorsänger, "Verdirb nicht!" Ein Psalm von Asaph, ein Lied.] Wir preisen dich, o Gott, wir preisen dich; und nahe ist dein Name, deine Wundertaten verkündigen es. [O. ihn; od. man erzählt deine Wundertaten]
To the choirmaster al-tashcheth a psalm of Asaph a song. We give thanks to you - O God we give thanks and [is] near name your people recount wonders your.
2 "Wenn ich die Versammlung empfangen werde, [O. Wenn ich die bestimmte Zeit erreichen [W. erfassen] werde] will ich in Geradheit richten.
If I will take an appointed time I uprightness I will judge.
3 Zerschmolzen sind die Erde und alle ihre Bewohner: Ich habe ihre Säulen festgestellt." (Sela)
[are] melting away [the] earth And all inhabitants its I I put in order pillars its (Selah)
4 Ich sprach zu den Übermütigen: Seid nicht übermütig! und zu den Gesetzlosen: Erhebet nicht das Horn!
I say to the boasters may not you boast and to the wicked [people] may not you lift up a horn.
5 Erhebet nicht hoch euer Horn; redet nicht Freches mit gerecktem Halse!
May not you lift up to the height horn your may you speak with a neck arrogance.
6 Denn nicht von Osten, noch von Westen, und nicht von Süden her [W. von der Wüste her; die Wüste liegt südlich von Palästina] kommt Erhöhung.
For not [is] from [the] going out and from [the] setting place and not from [the] wilderness exaltation.
7 Denn Gott ist Richter; diesen erniedrigt er, und jenen erhöht er.
For God [is the] judge this one he brings low and this one he lifts up.
8 Denn ein Becher ist in der Hand Jehovas, und er schäumt von Wein, ist voll von Würzwein, und er schenkt daraus: ja, seine Hefen müssen schlürfend trinken alle Gesetzlosen der Erde.
For a cup [is] in [the] hand of Yahweh and wine it is foaming - full spiced drink and he has poured out some of this surely dregs its they will drain they will drink all [the] wicked [people] of [the] earth.
9 Ich aber, ich will es verkünden ewiglich, will Psalmen singen dem Gott Jakobs.
And I I will declare for ever I will sing praises to [the] God of Jacob.
10 Und alle Hörner der Gesetzlosen werde ich abhauen; es werden erhöht werden die Hörner der Gerechten.
And all [the] horns of wicked [people] I will cut off they will be lifted up [the] horns of [the] righteous.
