Psalm 24

1 [Von David. Ein Psalm.] Jehovas ist die Erde und ihre Fülle, der Erdkreis und die darauf wohnen.

A Psalme of David. The earth is the Lordes, and all that therein is: the worlde and they that dwell therein.

2 Denn er, er hat sie gegründet über Meeren, und über Strömen sie festgestellt.

For he hath founded it vpon the seas: and established it vpon the floods.

3 Wer wird steigen auf den Berg Jehovas, und wer wird stehen an seiner heiligen Stätte?

Who shall ascende into the mountaine of the Lord? and who shall stand in his holy place?

4 Der unschuldiger Hände und reinen Herzens ist, der nicht zur Falschheit [O. Eitelkeit] erhebt seine Seele und nicht schwört zum Truge.

Euen he that hath innocent handes, and a pure heart: which hath not lift vp his minde vnto vanitie, nor sworne deceitfully.

5 Er wird Segen empfangen von Jehova, und Gerechtigkeit von dem Gott seines Heils.

He shall receiue a blessing from the Lord, and righteousnesse from the God of his saluation.

6 Dies ist das Geschlecht derer, die nach ihm trachten, die dein Angesicht suchen-Jakob. (Sela)

This is the generation of them that seeke him, of them that seeke thy face, this is Iaakob. (Selah)

7 Erhebet, ihr Tore, eure Häupter, und erhebet euch, ewige Pforten, daß einziehe der König der Herrlichkeit!

Lift vp your heads ye gates, and be ye lift vp ye euerlasting doores, and the King of glory shall come in.

8 Wer ist dieser König der Herrlichkeit? Jehova, stark und mächtig! Jehova, mächtig im Kampf!

Who is this King of glorie? the Lord, strong and mightie, euen the Lord mightie in battell.

9 Erhebet, ihr Tore, eure Häupter, und erhebet euch, ewige Pforten, daß einziehe der König der Herrlichkeit!

Lift vp your heads, ye gates, and lift vp your selues, ye euerlasting doores, and the King of glorie shall come in.

10 Wer ist er, dieser König der Herrlichkeit? Jehova der Heerscharen, er ist der König der Herrlichkeit! (Sela)

Who is this King of glory? the Lord of hostes, he is the King of glorie. (Selah)
