Psalm 116
1 Ich liebe Jehova; denn er hörte [O. hört] meine Stimme, mein Flehen;
I love for he has heard - Yahweh voice my supplications my.
2 Denn er hat zu mir geneigt sein Ohr; und ich will ihn anrufen in allen meinen Tagen.
For he has inclined ear his to me and in days my I will call out.
3 Es umfingen mich die Bande des Todes, und die Bedrängnisse des Scheols erreichten mich; ich fand Drangsal und Kummer. (Sheol h7585)
They surrounded me - [the] cords of death and [the] distresses of Sheol they found me trouble and sorrow I found. (Sheol h7585)
4 Und ich rief an den Namen Jehovas: Bitte, Jehova, errette meine Seele!
And on [the] name of Yahweh I called I beg you O Yahweh deliver! life my.
5 Gnädig ist Jehova und gerecht, und unser Gott ist barmherzig.
[is] gracious Yahweh and righteous and God our [is] compassionate.
6 Jehova bewahrt die Einfältigen; ich war elend, [O. schwach] und er hat mich gerettet.
[is] protecting Simple people Yahweh I had become low and me he saved.
7 Kehre wieder, meine Seele, zu deiner Ruhe! [Eig. vollen Ruhe] Denn Jehova hat wohlgetan an dir.
Return O self my to resting place your for Yahweh he has dealt bountifully towards you.
8 Denn du hast meine Seele errettet vom Tode, meine Augen von Tränen, meinen Fuß vom Sturz.
For you have rescued life my from death eye my from tear[s] foot my from stumbling.
9 Ich werde wandeln vor Jehova in dem Lande [W. den Ländern] der Lebendigen.
I will walk about before Yahweh in [the] lands of the living.
10 Ich glaubte, darum redete ich. [Eig. denn ich redete] Ich bin sehr gebeugt gewesen.
I believed for I said I I am afflicted exceedingly.
11 Ich sprach in meiner Bestürzung: Alle Menschen sind Lügner!
I I said when was hastening I every person [is] a liar.
12 Wie soll ich Jehova alle seine Wohltaten an mir vergelten?
What? will I give back to Yahweh all benefits his towards me.
13 Den Becher der Rettungen will ich nehmen und anrufen den Namen Jehovas.
A cup of salvation I will lift up and on [the] name of Yahweh I will call.
14 Ich will Jehova meine Gelübde bezahlen, ja, in der Gegenwart seines ganzen Volkes.
Vows my to Yahweh I will pay before please all people his.
15 Kostbar ist in den Augen Jehovas der Tod seiner Frommen.
[is] precious In [the] eyes of Yahweh the death of faithful [people] his.
16 Bitte, Jehova! denn ich bin dein Knecht; ich bin dein Knecht, der Sohn deiner Magd; gelöst hast du meine Bande.
I beg you O Yahweh for I [am] servant your I [am] servant your [the] son of maidservant your you have loosened fetters my.
17 Dir will ich Opfer des Lobes [S. die Anm. zu Ps. 107,22] opfern, und anrufen den Namen Jehovas.
To you I will sacrifice a sacrifice of thanksgiving and on [the] name of Yahweh I will call.
18 Ich will Jehova meine Gelübde bezahlen, ja, in der Gegenwart seines ganzen Volkes.
Vows my to Yahweh I will pay before please all people his.
19 In den Vorhöfen des Hauses Jehovas, in deiner Mitte, Jerusalem. Lobet Jehova! [Hallelujah!]
In [the] courts of - [the] house of Yahweh in [the] midst of you O Jerusalem praise Yahweh.
