Psalm 113

1 [Lobet Jehova! [Hallelujah!] ] Lobet, ihr Knechte Jehovas, lobet den Namen Jehovas!

Praise ye the Lord. Praise, O ye seruants of the Lord, prayse the Name of the Lord.

2 Gepriesen sei der Name Jehovas von nun an bis in Ewigkeit!

Blessed be the Name of the Lord from hencefoorth and for euer.

3 Vom Aufgang der Sonne bis zu ihrem Niedergang sei gelobt der Name Jehovas!

The Lordes Name is praysed from the rising of ye sunne, vnto ye going downe of the same.

4 Hoch über alle Nationen ist Jehova, über die Himmel seine Herrlichkeit.

The Lord is high aboue all nations, and his glorie aboue the heauens.

5 Wer ist wie Jehova, unser Gott, der hoch oben thront;

Who is like vnto the Lord our God, that hath his dwelling on high!

6 Der sich herabneigt, um auf die Himmel und auf die Erde zu schauen?

Who abaseth himselfe to beholde things in the heauen and in the earth!

7 Der aus dem Staube emporhebt den Geringen, aus dem Kote erhöht den Armen,

He raiseth the needie out of the dust, and lifteth vp the poore out of the dung,

8 Um ihn sitzen zu lassen bei den Edlen, [Vergl. 1. Sam. 2,8] bei den Edlen seines Volkes.

That he may set him with the princes, euen with the princes of his people.

9 Der die Unfruchtbare des Hauses [d. h. das unfruchtbare Eheweib] wohnen läßt als eine fröhliche Mutter von Söhnen. Lobet Jehova! [Hallelujah!]

He maketh the barren woman to dwell with a familie, and a ioyfull mother of children. Prayse ye the Lord.
