4 Mose 12

1 Und Mirjam und Aaron redeten wider Mose wegen des kuschitischen Weibes, das er genommen hatte; denn er hatte ein kuschitisches Weib genommen.

And Mariam and Aaron spoke against Moses, because of the Ethiopian woman whom Moses took; for he had taken an Ethiopian woman.

2 Und sie sprachen: Hat Jehova nur mit [O. durch] Mose allein geredet? Hat er nicht auch mit [O. durch] uns geredet? Und Jehova hörte es.

And they said, Has the Lord spoken to Moses only? has he not also spoken to us? and the Lord heard it.

3 Der Mann Mose aber war sehr sanftmütig, mehr als alle Menschen, die auf dem Erdboden waren.

And the man Moses was very meek beyond all the men that were upon the earth.

4 Da sprach Jehova plötzlich zu Mose und zu Aaron und zu Mirjam: Gehet hinaus, ihr drei, zum Zelte der Zusammenkunft! Und sie gingen hinaus, die drei.

And the Lord said immediately to Moses and Aaron and Mariam, Come forth all three of you to the tabernacle of witness.

5 Und Jehova kam in der Wolkensäule hernieder und stand an dem Eingang des Zeltes; und er rief Aaron und Mirjam, und die beiden traten hinaus.

And the three came forth to the tabernacle of witness; and the Lord descended in a pillar of a cloud, and stood at the door of the tabernacle of witness; and Aaron and Mariam were called; and both came forth.

6 Und er sprach: Höret denn meine Worte! Wenn ein Prophet unter euch ist, dem will ich, Jehova, in einem Gesicht mich kundtun, in einem Traume will ich mit ihm reden.

And he said to them, Hear my words: If there should be of you a prophet to the Lord, I will be made known to him in a vision, and in sleep will I speak to him.

7 Nicht also mein Knecht Mose. Er ist treu in meinem ganzen Hause;

My servant Moses [is] not so; he is faithful in all my house.

8 mit ihm rede ich von Mund zu Mund, und deutlich und nicht in Rätseln, und das Bild Jehovas schaut er. Und warum habt ihr euch nicht gefürchtet, wider meinen Knecht, wider Mose, zu reden?

I will speak to him mouth to mouth apparently, and not in dark speeches; and he has seen the glory of the Lord; and why were you not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?

9 Und der Zorn Jehovas entbrannte wider sie, und er ging weg.

And the great anger of the Lord [was] upon them, and he departed.

10 Und die Wolke wich von [Eig. von über] dem Zelte, und siehe, Mirjam war aussätzig wie Schnee; und Aaron wandte sich zu Mirjam, und siehe, sie war aussätzig.

And the cloud departed from the tabernacle; and, behold, Mariam was leprous, [white] as snow; and Aaron looked upon Mariam, and, behold, she [was] leprous.

11 Da sprach Aaron zu Mose: Ach, mein Herr! lege doch nicht die Sünde auf uns, durch welche wir töricht gehandelt und uns versündigt haben!

And Aaron said to Moses, I beseech you, my lord, do not lay sin upon us, for we were ignorant wherein we sinned.

12 Möge sie doch nicht sein wie ein totes Kind, dessen Fleisch, wenn es aus seiner Mutter Leibe hervorkommt, zur Hälfte verwest ist!

Let her not be as it were like death, as an abortion coming out of his mother's womb, when [the disease] devours the half of the flesh.

13 Und Mose schrie zu Jehova und sprach: O Gott, [El] bitte, heile sie doch!

And Moses cried to the Lord, saying, O God, I beseech you, heal her.

14 Und Jehova sprach zu Mose: Hätte ihr Vater ihr etwa ins Angesicht gespieen, sollte sie sich nicht sieben Tage lang schämen? [O. sollte sie nicht beschimpft sein] Sie soll sieben Tage außerhalb des Lagers eingeschlossen werden, und danach mag sie wieder aufgenommen werden.

And the Lord said to Moses, If her father had only spit in her face, would she not be ashamed seven days? let her be set apart seven days without the camp, and afterwards she shall come in.

15 Und Mirjam wurde sieben Tage außerhalb des Lagers eingeschlossen; und das Volk brach nicht auf, bis Mirjam wieder aufgenommen war.

And Mariam was separated without the camp seven days; and the people moved not forward till Mariam was cleansed.

16 Danach aber brach das Volk von Hazeroth auf; und sie lagerten sich in der Wüste Paran.

And afterwards the people set forth from Aseroth, and encamped in the wilderness of Pharan.
