Matthaeus 13
1 An jenem Tage aber ging Jesus aus dem Hause hinaus und setzte sich an den See.
And in that day Jesus, having gone forth from the house, was sitting by the sea,
2 Und es versammelte sich eine große Volksmenge zu ihm, so daß er in ein Schiff stieg und sich setzte; und die ganze Volksmenge stand am Ufer.
and gathered together to Him were many multitudes, so that He having gone into the boat sat down, and all the multitude on the beach stood,
3 Und er redete vieles in Gleichnissen zu ihnen und sprach: Siehe, der Sämann ging aus zu säen;
and He spoke to them many things in allegories, saying, “Behold, the sower went forth to sow,
4 und indem er säte, fiel etliches an den Weg, und die Vögel kamen und fraßen es auf.
and in his sowing, some indeed fell by the way, and the birds having come, devoured them,
5 Anderes aber fiel auf das Steinichte, wo es nicht viel Erde hatte; und alsbald ging es auf, weil es nicht tiefe Erde hatte.
and others fell on the rocky places where they did not have much earth, and immediately they sprang forth, through having no depth of earth,
6 Als aber die Sonne aufging, wurde es verbrannt, und weil es keine Wurzel hatte, verdorrte es.
and the sun having risen they were scorched, and through having no root, they withered,
7 Anderes aber fiel unter die Dornen; und die Dornen schossen auf und erstickten es.
and others fell on the thorns, and the thorns came up and choked them,
8 Anderes aber fiel auf die gute Erde und gab Frucht: das eine hundert-, das andere sechzig-, das andere dreißigfältig.
and others fell on the good ground, and were giving fruit, some indeed a hundredfold, and some sixty, and some thirty.
9 Wer Ohren hat zu hören, der höre!
He who is having ears to hear—let him hear.”
10 Und die Jünger traten herzu und sprachen zu ihm: Warum redest du in Gleichnissen zu ihnen?
And the disciples having come near, said to Him, “Why do You speak to them in allegories?”
11 Er aber antwortete und sprach zu ihnen: Weil euch gegeben ist, die Geheimnisse des Reiches der Himmel zu wissen, jenen aber ist es nicht gegeben;
And He answering said to them that, “To you it has been given to know the secrets of the kingdom of the heavens, and to these it has not been given,
12 denn wer da hat, dem wird gegeben werden, und er wird Überfluß haben; wer aber nicht hat, von dem wird selbst, was er hat, genommen werden.
for whoever has, it will be given to him, and he will have overabundance, and whoever has not, even that which he has will be taken from him.
13 Darum rede ich in Gleichnissen zu ihnen, weil sie sehend nicht sehen und hörend nicht hören, noch verstehen;
Because of this, in allegories I speak to them, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor understand,
14 und es wird an ihnen die Weissagung Jesaias erfüllt, welche sagt: "Mit Gehör werdet ihr hören und doch nicht verstehen, und sehend werdet ihr sehen und doch nicht wahrnehmen;
and fulfilled on them is the prophecy of Isaiah that says, With hearing you will hear, and you will not understand, and seeing you will see, and you will not perceive,
15 denn das Herz dieses Volkes ist dick geworden, und mit den Ohren haben sie schwer gehört, und ihre Augen haben sie geschlossen, damit sie nicht etwa mit den Augen sehen und mit den Ohren hören und mit dem Herzen verstehen und sich bekehren, und ich sie heile." [Jes. 6,9-10]
for the heart of this people was made obtuse, and with the ears they barely heard, and they closed their eyes, lest they might see with the eyes, and might hear with the ears, and understand with the heart, and turn back, and I might heal them.
16 Glückselig aber eure Augen, daß sie sehen, und eure Ohren, daß sie hören;
And blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear,
17 denn wahrlich, ich sage euch: Viele Propheten und Gerechte haben begehrt zu sehen, was ihr anschauet, und haben es nicht gesehen; und zu hören, was ihr höret, und haben es nicht gehört.
for truly I say to you that many prophets and righteous men desired to see that which you look on, and they did not see, and to hear that which you hear, and they did not hear.
18 Höret ihr nun das Gleichnis vom Sämann.
You, therefore, hear the allegory of the sower:
19 So oft jemand das Wort vom Reiche hört und nicht versteht, kommt der Böse und reißt weg, was in sein Herz gesät war; dieser ist es, der an den Weg gesät ist.
Everyone hearing the word of the kingdom, and not understanding—the evil one comes, and snatches that which has been sown in his heart; this is that sown by the way.
20 Der aber auf das Steinichte gesät ist, dieser ist es, der das Wort hört und es alsbald mit Freuden aufnimmt;
And that sown on the rocky places, this is he who is hearing the word, and immediately with joy is receiving it,
21 er hat aber keine Wurzel in sich, sondern ist nur für eine Zeit; und wenn Drangsal entsteht oder Verfolgung um des Wortes willen, alsbald ärgert er sich. [O. stößt er sich, nimmt er Anstoß. So auch später, wo dieser Ausdruck vorkommt]
and he has no root in himself, but is temporary, and persecution or tribulation having happened because of the word, immediately he is stumbled.
22 Der aber unter die Dornen gesät ist, dieser ist es, der das Wort hört, und die Sorge dieses Lebens [W. Zeitalters] und der Betrug des Reichtums ersticken das Wort, und er [O. es] bringt keine Frucht. [W. er [es] wird unfruchtbar] (aiōn g165)
And that sown toward the thorns, this is he who is hearing the word, and the anxiety of this age, and the deceitfulness of the riches, chokes the word, and it becomes unfruitful. (aiōn g165)
23 Der aber auf die gute Erde gesät ist, dieser ist es, der das Wort hört und versteht, welcher wirklich Frucht bringt; und der eine trägt hundert-, der andere sechzig-, der andere dreißigfältig.
And that sown on the good ground: this is he who is hearing the word, and is understanding, who indeed bears fruit, and makes, some indeed a hundredfold, and some sixty, and some thirty.”
24 Ein anderes Gleichnis legte er ihnen vor und sprach: Das Reich der Himmel ist einem Menschen gleich geworden, der guten Samen auf seinen Acker säte.
Another allegory He set before them, saying, “The kingdom of the heavens was likened to a man sowing good seed in his field,
25 Während aber die Menschen schliefen, kam sein Feind und säte Unkraut [Eig. "Lolch", ein dem Weizen ähnliches Unkraut; so auch v 26. 27. usw.] mitten unter den Weizen und ging hinweg.
and while men are sleeping, his enemy came and sowed darnel in the midst of the wheat, and went away,
26 Als aber die Saat aufsproßte und Frucht brachte, da erschien auch das Unkraut.
and when the herb sprang up, and yielded fruit, then appeared also the darnel.
27 Es kamen aber die Knechte des Hausherrn hinzu und sprachen zu ihm: Herr, hast du nicht guten Samen auf deinen Acker gesät? woher hat er denn Unkraut?
And the servants of the householder, having come near, said to him, Lord, did you not sow good seed in your field? From where then does it have the darnel?
28 Er aber sprach zu ihnen: Ein feindseliger Mensch hat dies getan. Die Knechte aber sprachen zu ihm: Willst du denn, daß wir hingehen und es zusammenlesen?
And he says to them, A man, an enemy, did this; and the servants said to him, Will you, then, [that] having gone away we may gather it up?
29 Er aber sprach: Nein, damit ihr nicht etwa beim Zusammenlesen des Unkrauts zugleich mit demselben den Weizen ausraufet.
And he said, No, lest—gathering up the darnel—you root up with it the wheat;
30 Laßt es beides zusammen wachsen bis zur Ernte, und zur Zeit der Ernte werde ich den Schnittern sagen: Leset zuerst das Unkraut zusammen und bindet es in Bündel, um es zu verbrennen; den Weizen aber sammelt in meine Scheune.
permit both to grow together until the harvest, and in the time of the harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather up first the darnel, and bind it in bundles, to burn it, and the wheat gather up into my storehouse.”
31 Ein anderes Gleichnis legte er ihnen vor und sprach: Das Reich der Himmel ist gleich einem Senfkorn, welches ein Mensch nahm und auf seinen Acker säte;
Another allegory He set before them, saying, “The kingdom of the heavens is like to a grain of mustard, which a man having taken, sowed in his field,
32 das zwar kleiner ist als alle Samen, wenn es aber gewachsen ist, so ist es größer als die Kräuter [Gartengewächse] und wird ein Baum, so daß die Vögel des Himmels kommen und sich niederlassen [O. nisten] in seinen Zweigen.
which less, indeed, is than all the seeds, but when it may be grown, is greatest of the herbs, and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the sky come and rest in its branches.”
33 Ein anderes Gleichnis redete er zu ihnen: Das Reich der Himmel ist gleich einem Sauerteig, welchen ein Weib nahm und unter drei Maß Mehl verbarg, bis es ganz durchsäuert war.
Another allegory He spoke to them: “The kingdom of the heavens is like to leaven, which a woman having taken, hid in three measures of meal, until the whole was leavened.”
34 Dies alles redete Jesus in Gleichnissen zu den Volksmengen, und ohne Gleichnis redete er nicht zu ihnen,
All these things Jesus spoke in allegories to the multitudes, and without an allegory He was not speaking to them,
35 damit erfüllt würde, was durch den Propheten geredet ist, welcher spricht: "Ich werde meinen Mund auftun in Gleichnissen; ich werde aussprechen, was von Grundlegung der Welt an verborgen war." [Ps. 78,2]
that it might be fulfilled that was spoken through the prophet, saying, “I will open in allegories My mouth, I will utter things having been hidden from the foundation of the world.”
36 Dann entließ er die Volksmenge und kam in das Haus; und seine Jünger traten zu ihm und sprachen: Deute uns das Gleichnis vom Unkraut des Ackers.
Then having let away the multitudes, Jesus came into the house, and His disciples came near to Him, saying, “Explain to us the allegory of the darnel of the field.”
37 Er aber antwortete und sprach: Der den guten Samen sät, ist der Sohn des Menschen,
And He answering said to them, “He who is sowing the good seed is the Son of Man,
38 der Acker aber ist die Welt; der gute Same aber, dies sind die Söhne des Reiches, das Unkraut aber sind die Söhne des Bösen;
and the field is the world, and the good seed, these are the sons of the kingdom, and the darnel are the sons of the evil one,
39 der Feind aber, der es gesät hat, ist der Teufel; die Ernte aber ist die Vollendung des Zeitalters, die Schnitter aber sind Engel. (aiōn g165)
and the enemy who sowed them is the Devil, and the harvest is [the] full end of the age, and the reapers are messengers. (aiōn g165)
40 Gleichwie nun das Unkraut zusammengelesen und im Feuer verbrannt wird, also wird es in der Vollendung des Zeitalters sein. (aiōn g165)
As, then, the darnel is gathered up, and is burned with fire, so will it be in the full end of this age; (aiōn g165)
41 Der Sohn des Menschen wird seine Engel aussenden, und sie werden aus seinem Reiche alle Ärgernisse zusammenlesen und die das Gesetzlose [W. die Gesetzlosigkeit] tun;
the Son of Man will send forth His messengers, and they will gather up out of His kingdom all the stumbling-blocks, and those doing the lawlessness,
42 und sie werden sie in den Feuerofen werfen: da wird sein das Weinen und das Zähneknirschen.
and will cast them into the furnace of the fire; there will be the weeping and the gnashing of the teeth.
43 Dann werden die Gerechten leuchten wie die Sonne in dem Reiche ihres Vaters. Wer Ohren hat zu hören, der höre!
Then will the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who is having ears to hear—let him hear.
44 Das Reich der Himmel ist gleich einem im Acker verborgenen Schatz, welchen ein Mensch fand und verbarg; und vor Freude darüber geht er hin und verkauft alles, was er hat, und kauft jenen Acker.
Again, the kingdom of the heavens is like to treasure hid in the field, which a man having found, hid, and from his joy goes, and all, as much as he has, he sells, and buys that field.
45 Wiederum ist das Reich der Himmel gleich einem Kaufmann, der schöne Perlen sucht;
Again, the kingdom of the heavens is like to a man, a merchant, seeking good pearls,
46 als er aber eine sehr kostbare Perle gefunden hatte, ging er hin und verkaufte alles, was er hatte, und kaufte sie.
who having found one pearl of great price, having gone away, has sold all, as much as he had, and bought it.
47 Wiederum ist das Reich der Himmel gleich einem Netze, [Eig. einem Ziehgarn, Schleppnetz] das ins Meer geworfen wurde und von jeder Gattung zusammenbrachte,
Again, the kingdom of the heavens is like to a net that was cast into the sea, and gathered together of every kind,
48 welches sie, als es voll war, ans Ufer heraufgezogen hatten; und sie setzten sich nieder und lasen die Guten in Gefäße zusammen, aber die Faulen warfen sie aus.
which, when it was filled, having drawn up again on the beach, and having sat down, they gathered the good into vessels, and the bad they cast out,
49 Also wird es in der Vollendung des Zeitalters sein: die Engel werden ausgehen und die Bösen aus der Mitte der Gerechten aussondern, (aiōn g165)
so will it be in the full end of the age, the messengers will come forth and separate the evil out of the midst of the righteous, (aiōn g165)
50 und sie in den Feuerofen werfen: da wird sein das Weinen und das Zähneknirschen.
and will cast them into the furnace of the fire; there will be the weeping and the gnashing of the teeth.”
51 Jesus spricht zu ihnen: Habt ihr dies alles verstanden? Sie sagen zu ihm: Ja, Herr.
Jesus says to them, “Did you understand all these?” They say to Him, “Yes, Lord.”
52 Er aber sprach zu ihnen: Darum ist jeder Schriftgelehrte, der im Reiche der Himmel unterrichtet ist, [O. ein Schüler des Reiches der Himmel geworden ist] gleich einem Hausherrn, der aus seinem Schatze Neues und Altes hervorbringt.
And He said to them, “Because of this, every scribe having been discipled in regard to the kingdom of the heavens is like to a man, a householder, who brings forth out of his treasure things new and old.”
53 Und es geschah, als Jesus diese Gleichnisse vollendet hatte, ging er von dannen hinweg.
And it came to pass, when Jesus finished these allegories, He removed from there,
54 Und er kam in seine Vaterstadt und lehrte sie in ihrer Synagoge, so daß sie sehr erstaunten und sprachen: Woher diesem diese Weisheit und die Wunderwerke?
and having come to His own country, He was teaching them in their synagogue, so that they were astonished, and were saying, “From where to this One this wisdom and the mighty works?
55 Ist dieser nicht der Sohn des Zimmermanns? Heißt nicht seine Mutter Maria, und seine Brüder Jakobus und Joseph und Simon und Judas?
Is this not the carpenter’s Son? Is His mother not called Mary, and His brothers James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?
56 Und seine Schwestern, sind sie nicht alle bei uns? Woher nun diesem dies alles?
And His sisters—are they not all with us? From where, then, to this One all these?”
57 Und sie ärgerten sich an ihm. Jesus aber sprach zu ihnen: Ein Prophet ist nicht ohne Ehre, außer in seiner Vaterstadt und in seinem Hause.
And they were stumbled at Him. And Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his own country, and in his own house”:
58 Und er tat daselbst nicht viele Wunderwerke wegen ihres Unglaubens.
and He did not do many mighty works there, because of their unbelief.
