Markus 3
1 Und er ging wiederum in die Synagoge; und es war daselbst ein Mensch, der eine verdorrte Hand hatte.
At another time, when He went to the synagogue, there was a man there with one arm shrivelled up.
2 Und sie lauerten auf ihn, ob er ihn am Sabbath heilen würde, auf daß sie ihn anklagen möchten.
They closely watched Him to see whether He would cure him on the Sabbath--so as to have a charge to bring against Him.
3 Und er spricht zu dem Menschen, der die verdorrte Hand hatte: Stehe auf und tritt in die Mitte.
"Come forward," said He to the man with the shrivelled arm.
4 Und er spricht zu ihnen: Ist es erlaubt, an den Sabbathen Gutes zu tun oder Böses zu tun, das Leben [O. ein Leben] zu retten oder zu töten? Sie aber schwiegen.
Then He asked them, "Are we allowed to do good on the Sabbath, or to do evil? to save a life, or to destroy one?" They remained silent.
5 Und er blickte auf sie umher mit Zorn, betrübt über die Verstockung ihres Herzens, und spricht zu dem Menschen: Strecke deine Hand aus! Und er streckte sie aus, und seine Hand wurde wiederhergestellt.
Grieved and indignant at the hardening of their hearts, He looked round on them with anger, and said to the man, "Stretch out your arm." He stretched it out, and the arm was completely restored.
6 Und die Pharisäer gingen alsbald hinaus und hielten mit den Herodianern Rat wider ihn, wie sie ihn umbrächten.
But no sooner had the Pharisees left the synagogue than they held a consultation with the Herodians against Jesus, to devise some means of destroying Him.
7 Und Jesus entwich mit seinen Jüngern an den See; und es folgte ihm eine große Menge von Galiläa und von Judäa
Accordingly Jesus withdrew with His disciples to the Lake, and a vast crowd of people from Galilee followed Him;
8 und von Jerusalem und von Idumäa und von jenseit des Jordan; und die um Tyrus und Sidon, eine große Menge, als sie gehört hatten, wie vieles er tat, kamen zu ihm.
and from Judaea and Jerusalem and Idumaea and from beyond the Jordan and from the district of Tyre and Sidon there came to Him a vast crowd, hearing of all that He was doing.
9 Und er sagte seinen Jüngern, daß ein Schifflein für ihn in Bereitschaft bleiben solle wegen der Volksmenge, auf daß sie ihn nicht drängten.
So He gave directions to His disciples to keep a small boat in constant attendance on Him because of the throng--to prevent their crushing Him.
10 Denn er heilte viele, so daß alle, welche Plagen hatten, ihn überfielen, auf daß sie ihn anrühren möchten.
For He had cured many of the people, so that all who had any ailments pressed upon Him, to touch Him.
11 Und wenn die unreinen Geister ihn sahen, fielen sie vor ihm nieder und riefen und sprachen: Du bist der Sohn Gottes.
And the foul spirits, whenever they saw Him, threw themselves down at His feet, screaming out: "You are the Son of God."
12 Und er bedrohte sie sehr, daß sie ihn nicht offenbar machten.
But He many a time checked them, forbidding them to say who He was.
13 Und er steigt auf den Berg und ruft herzu, welche er selbst wollte. Und sie kamen zu ihm;
Then He went up the hill; and those whom He Himself chose He called, and they came to Him.
14 und er bestellte zwölf, auf daß sie bei ihm seien, und auf daß er sie aussende zu predigen
He appointed twelve of them, that they might be with Him, and that He might also send them to proclaim His Message,
15 und Gewalt zu haben, die Krankheiten zu heilen und die Dämonen auszutreiben.
with authority to expel the demons.
16 Und er gab dem Simon den Beinamen Petrus;
These twelve were Simon (to whom He gave the surname of Peter),
17 und Jakobus, den Sohn des Zebedäus, und Johannes, den Bruder des Jakobus, und er gab ihnen den Beinamen Boanerges, das ist Söhne des Donners;
James the son of Zabdi and John the brother of James (these two He surnamed Boanerges, that is 'Sons of Thunder'),
18 und Andreas und Philippus und Bartholomäus und Matthäus und Thomas und Jakobus, den Sohn des Alphäus, und Thaddäus, und Simon, den Kananäer, [O. Zelotes; s. die Anm. zu Mat. 10,4]
Andrew, Philip, Bartholomew, Matthew, Thomas, James the son of Alphaeus, Thaddaeus, Simon the Cananaean,
19 und Judas Iskariot, der ihn auch überlieferte.
and Judas Iscariot, the man who also betrayed Him.
20 Und die kommen in ein Haus. [O. ins Haus. v 1.: er kommt] Und wiederum kommt eine Volksmenge zusammen, so daß sie nicht einmal essen konnten.
And He went into a house. But again the crowd assembled, so that there was no opportunity for them even to snatch a meal.
21 Und als seine Angehörigen es hörten, gingen sie hinaus, um ihn zu greifen; denn sie sprachen: Er ist außer sich.
Hearing of this, His relatives came to seize Him by force, for they said, "He is out of his mind."
22 Und die Schriftgelehrten, die von Jerusalem herabgekommen waren, sprachen: Er hat den Beelzebub, und: Durch [W. In [der Kraft des] den Obersten der Dämonen treibt er die Dämonen aus.]
The Scribes, too, who had come down from Jerusalem said, "He has Baal-zebul in him; and it is by the power of the Prince of the demons that he expels the demons."
23 Und er rief sie herzu und sprach in Gleichnissen zu ihnen: Wie kann Satan den Satan austreiben?
So He called them to Him, and using figurative language He appealed to them, saying, "How is it possible for Satan to expel Satan?
24 Und wenn ein Reich wider sich selbst entzweit ist, so kann jenes Reich nicht bestehen.
For if civil war breaks out in a kingdom, nothing can make that kingdom last;
25 Und wenn ein Haus wider sich selbst entzweit ist, so kann jenes Haus nicht bestehen.
and if a family splits into parties, that family cannot continue.
26 Und wenn der Satan wider sich selbst aufsteht und entzweit ist, so kann er nicht bestehen, sondern hat ein Ende.
So if Satan has risen in arms and has made war upon himself, stand he cannot, but meets his end.
27 Niemand aber kann in das Haus des Starken eindringen und seinen Hausrat rauben, wenn er nicht zuvor den Starken bindet, und alsdann wird er sein Haus berauben.
Nay, no one can go into a strong man's house and carry off his property, unless he first binds the strong man, and then he will plunder his house.
28 Wahrlich, ich sage euch: Alle Sünden werden den Söhnen der Menschen vergeben werden, und die Lästerungen, mit welchen irgend sie lästern mögen;
In solemn truth I tell you that all their sins may be pardoned to the sons of men, and all their blasphemies, however they may have blasphemed;
30 weil sie sagten: Er hat einen unreinen Geist.
This was because they said, "He is possessed by a foul spirit."
31 Und es kommen seine Mutter und seine Brüder; und draußen stehend sandten sie zu ihm und riefen ihn.
By this time His mother and His brothers arrive, and standing outside they send a message to Him to call Him.
32 Und eine Volksmenge saß um ihn her; sie sagten aber zu ihm: Siehe, deine Mutter und deine Brüder draußen suchen dich.
Now a crowd was sitting round Him; so they tell Him, "Your mother and your brothers and sisters are outside, inquiring for you."
33 Und er antwortete ihnen und sprach: Wer ist meine Mutter oder meine Brüder?
"Who are my mother and my brothers?" He replied.
34 Und im Kreise umherblickend auf die um ihn her Sitzenden, spricht er: Siehe da, meine Mutter und meine Brüder;
And, fixing His eyes on the people who were sitting round Him in a circle, He said,
35 denn wer irgend den Willen Gottes tun wird, derselbe ist mein Bruder und meine Schwester und meine Mutter.
"Here are my mother and my brothers. For wherever there is one who has been obedient to God, there is my brother--my sister--and my mother."
