Markus 11
1 Und als sie Jerusalem, Bethphage und Bethanien nahen, gegen den Ölberg hin, sendet er zwei seiner Jünger
And when they came near to Jerusalem, even to Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount of Olives, He sendeth two of his disciples,
2 und spricht zu ihnen: Gehet hin in das Dorf, das euch gegenüber liegt; und alsbald, wenn ihr in dasselbe kommet, werdet ihr ein Füllen angebunden finden, auf welchem kein Mensch je gesessen hat; bindet es los und führet es her.
and saith to them, Go into the village over against you, and as soon as ye enter into it, ye will find a colt tied, on which no man hath yet sat; loose him, and bring him to me.
3 Und wenn jemand zu euch sagt: Warum tut ihr dies? so saget: Der Herr bedarf seiner; und alsbald sendet er es hierher.
And if any one say to you, Why do ye so? tell him, that the Lord hath need of it, and he will immediately send it hither.
4 Sie aber gingen hin und fanden ein Füllen angebunden an der Tür draußen auf dem Wege; [O. der Gasse; eig. ein Weg, der um ein Haus oder Gehöft führt] und sie binden es los.
And they went and found the colt tied at a door abroad, where two ways met, and they untied it.
5 Und etliche von denen, die daselbst standen, sprachen zu ihnen: Was tut ihr, daß ihr das Füllen losbindet?
And some of the people that stood there, said to them, What do ye mean by untying the colt?
6 Sie aber sprachen zu ihnen, wie Jesus gesagt hatte. Und sie ließen sie.
And they answered them as Jesus had ordered, and they permitted them.
7 Und sie führten das Füllen zu Jesu und legten ihre Kleider darauf, und er setzte sich auf dasselbe.
So they brought the colt to Jesus, and laid their garments on it, and He sat upon it.
8 Viele aber breiteten ihre Kleider aus auf den Weg; andere hieben Zweige von den Bäumen und streuten sie auf den Weg;
And many spread their clothes in the way; and others cut off branches from the trees, and strewed them in the way.
9 und die vorangingen und nachfolgten, riefen: Hosanna! Gepriesen sei, der da kommt im Namen des Herrn! [Vergl. Ps. 118,26]
And they that went before, and they that followed, cried out, saying, Hosanna, blessed be He that cometh in the name of the Lord:
10 Gepriesen sei das kommende Reich unseres Vaters David! Hosanna in der Höhe! [Eig. in den höchsten [Örtern]]
blessed be the kingdom of our father David, that is coming in the name of the Lord, Hosanna in the highest.
11 Und er zog in Jerusalem ein und ging in den Tempel; [die Gebäude [s. die Anm. zu Mat. 4,5]; so auch v 15 16. 27.] und als er über alles umhergeblickt hatte, ging er, da es schon spät an der Zeit war, mit den Zwölfen hinaus nach Bethanien.
And Jesus went into Jerusalem, and into the temple; and when He had looked round upon every thing, it being now late in the day, He went out to Bethany with the twelve.
12 Und des folgenden Tages, als sie von Bethanien weggegangen waren, hungerte ihn.
And on the morrow, as they came from Bethany, He was hungry:
13 Und als er von ferne einen Feigenbaum sah, der Blätter hatte, ging er hin, ob er vielleicht etwas an ihm fände; und als er zu ihm kam, fand er nichts als nur Blätter, denn es war nicht die Zeit der Feigen.
and seeing a fig-tree at a distance, with leaves, He went to see if He might find any thing upon it; and when He came to it, He found nothing but leaves; (for the time of gathering figs was not yet come: ) And Jesus spake and said unto it,
14 Und er hob an und sprach zu ihm: Nimmermehr esse jemand Frucht von dir in Ewigkeit! Und seine Jünger hörten es. (aiōn g165)
Let no one ever eat fruit of thee hereafter. And his disciples heard it. (aiōn g165)
15 Und sie kommen nach Jerusalem. Und als er in den Tempel eingetreten war, fing er an auszutreiben, die im Tempel verkauften und kauften; und die Tische der Wechsler und die Sitze der Taubenverkäufer stieß er um.
Then they came to Jerusalem: and Jesus went into the temple, and began to turn out those that sold and bought in the court of the temple, and threw down the tables of the money-changers, and the seats of them that sold doves:
16 Und er erlaubte nicht, daß jemand ein Gefäß [O. Gerät] durch den Tempel trug.
and suffered not any one to carry a burthen through the courts of the temple.
17 Und er lehrte und sprach zu ihnen: Steht nicht geschrieben: "Mein Haus wird ein Bethaus genannt werden für alle Nationen"? [Jes. 56,7] "Ihr aber habt es zu einer Räuberhöhle gemacht". [Vergl. Jer. 7,11]
And He taught them, saying, Is it not written, my house shall be called an house of prayer for all nations? But ye have made it a den of thieves.
18 Und die Hohenpriester und die Schriftgelehrten hörten es und suchten, wie sie ihn umbrächten; denn sie fürchteten ihn, weil die ganze Volksmenge sehr erstaunt war über seine Lehre.
And the scribes and chief priests heard it, and sought how to destroy Him; for they feared Him, because all the people were struck with his doctrine.
19 Und wenn es Abend wurde, ging er zur Stadt hinaus.
And when it was evening, He went out of the city.
20 Und als sie frühmorgens vorbeigingen, sahen sie den Feigenbaum verdorrt von den Wurzeln an.
And in the morning, as they were passing by it, they saw the fig-tree withered from the roots.
21 Und Petrus erinnerte sich und spricht zu ihm: Rabbi, siehe, der Feigenbaum, den du verfluchtest, ist verdorrt.
And Peter remembring the tree, saith unto Him, Master, behold, the fig-tree which thou cursedst, is withered.
22 Und Jesus antwortet und spricht zu ihnen: Habet Glauben an Gott.
And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God: for verily I tell you,
23 Wahrlich, ich sage euch: Wer irgend zu diesem Berge sagen wird: Werde aufgehoben und ins Meer geworfen! und nicht zweifeln wird in seinem Herzen, sondern glauben, daß geschieht, was er sagt, dem wird werden was irgend er sagen wird.
that whosoever shall say to this mountain, "Be thou removed and cast into the sea," and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that what he saith shall be done, he shall have whatsoever he saith.
24 Darum sage ich euch: Alles, um was irgend ihr betet und bittet, glaubet, daß ihr es empfanget, [Eig. empfinget] und es wird euch werden.
Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye ask in prayer, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
25 Und wenn ihr im Gebet dastehet, so vergebet, wenn ihr etwas wider jemanden habt, auf daß auch euer Vater, der in den Himmeln ist, euch eure Übertretungen [O. Fehltritte] vergebe.
But when ye pray, forgive, if ye have any thing against any one, that your heavenly Father may also forgive you your trespasses:
26 Wenn ihr aber nicht vergebet, so wird euer Vater, der in den Himmeln ist, auch eure Übertretungen [O. Fehltritte] nicht vergeben.
but if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive you your trespasses.
27 Und sie kommen wiederum nach Jerusalem. Und als er in dem Tempel umherwandelte, kommen die Hohenpriester und die Schriftgelehrten und die Ältesten zu ihm
And they come again to Jerusalem, and as He was walking in the temple, the chief priests, and scribes, and elders come to Him,
28 und sagen zu ihm: In welchem Recht [O. welcher Vollmacht; so auch nachher] tust du diese Dinge? Und wer hat dir dieses Recht gegeben, daß du diese Dinge tust?
and ask Him, By what authority dost thou these things, and who gave thee this authority, to do thus?
29 Jesus aber antwortete und sprach zu ihnen: Auch ich will euch ein Wort fragen, und antwortet mir, und ich werde euch sagen, in welchem Recht ich diese Dinge tue:
But Jesus said to them, I also will ask you one question; answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things.
30 Die Taufe Johannes, war sie vom Himmel oder von Menschen? Antwortet mir.
The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or from men? answer me.
31 Und sie überlegten miteinander und sprachen: Wenn wir sagen: vom Himmel, so wird er sagen: Warum habt ihr ihm denn nicht geglaubt?
And they reasoned among themselves, saying, If we say, from heaven; He will say, why then did ye not believe him?
32 Sagen wir aber: von Menschen sie fürchteten das Volk; denn alle hielten von Johannes, daß er wirklich ein Prophet war.
but if we should say, from men --- they feared the people: (for they they all thought that John was a prophet indeed: )
33 Und sie antworten und sagen zu Jesu: Wir wissen es nicht. Und Jesus antwortet und spricht zu ihnen: So sage ich auch euch nicht, in welchem Recht ich diese Dinge tue.
and they answered and said unto Jesus, We cannot tell. And Jesus replied and said unto them, Neither do I tell you by what authority I do these things.
