Jeremia 31
1 In jener Zeit, spricht Jehova, werde ich der Gott aller Geschlechter Israels sein, und sie werden mein Volk sein.
At the same time, saith the Lord, will I be the God for all the families of Israel, and they shall be unto me for a people.
2 So spricht Jehova: Das Volk der dem Schwerte Entronnenen hat Gnade gefunden in der Wüste. Ich will gehen, um Israel [Eig. um es, Israel] zur Ruhe zu bringen. -
Thus hath said the Lord, The people of those that are escaped of the sword found grace in the wilderness, —even Israel, when it went to find rest.
3 Jehova ist mir von ferne erschienen: Ja, mit ewiger Liebe habe ich dich geliebt; darum habe ich dir fortdauern lassen meine Güte.
“From afar is the Lord appeared unto me,” [saying, ] Yea, with an everlasting love have I loved thee; therefore have I guided thee with loving-kindness.
4 Ich will dich wieder bauen, und du wirst gebaut werden, Jungfrau Israel! Du wirst dich wieder mit deinen Tamburinen schmücken und ausziehen im Reigen der Tanzenden.
Yet again will I build thee up, and thou shalt be built, O virgin of Israel: yet again shalt thou adorn thy timbrels, and go forth in the dances of those that make merry.
5 Du wirst wieder Weinberge pflanzen auf den Bergen Samarias; die Pflanzer werden pflanzen und genießen [Eig. entweihen; vergl. 5. Mose 20,6.]
Yet again shalt thou plant vineyards upon the mountains of Samaria: the planters shall plant, and shall redeem the fruit.
6 Denn ein Tag wird sein, da die Wächter auf dem Gebirge Ephraim rufen werden: Machet euch auf und lasset uns nach Zion hinaufziehen zu Jehova, unserem Gott!
For there cometh a day, that the watchers call out upon the mountain of Ephraim, Arise ye, and let us go up to Zion unto the Lord our God.
7 Denn so spricht Jehova: Jubelt über Jakob mit Freuden und jauchzet an der Spitze [O. über das Haupt; vergl. Amos 6,1] der Nationen! Lobsinget laut und sprechet: Rette dein Volk, Jehova, den Überrest Israels!
For thus hath said the Lord, Sing for Jacob with joy, and shout at the head of the nations: publish ye, praise ye, and say, The Lord hath helped thy people, the remnant of Israel.
8 Siehe, ich bringe sie aus dem Lande des Nordens und sammle sie von dem äußersten Ende der Erde, unter ihnen Blinde und Lahme, Schwangere und Gebärende allzumal; in großer Versammlung kehren sie hierher zurück.
Behold, I will bring them from the north country, and I will gather them from the farthest ends of the earth, among them the blind and the lame, the pregnant woman and she that travaileth with child together: a great assembly shall they return hither.
9 Mit Weinen kommen sie, und unter Flehen leite ich sie; ich führe sie zu Wasserbächen auf einem ebenen Wege, auf dem sie nicht straucheln werden. Denn ich bin Israel zum Vater geworden, und Ephraim ist mein Erstgeborener. -
With weeping shall they come, and with supplications will I bring them in: I will lead them by brooks of water in a straight way, whereon they shall not stumble; for I am become a father to Israel, and Ephraim is my first-born.
10 Höret das Wort Jehovas, ihr Nationen, und meldet es auf den fernen Inseln und sprechet: Der Israel zerstreut hat, wird es wieder sammeln und es hüten wie ein Hirt seine Herde.
Hear the word of the Lord, O ye nations, and tell it in the isles afar off, and say, He that scattereth Israel will gather him, and keep him, as a shepherd his flock.
11 Denn Jehova hat Jakob losgekauft und hat ihn erlöst aus der Hand dessen, der stärker war als er.
For the Lord hath ransomed Jacob, and redeemed him out of the hand of one stronger than he.
12 Und sie werden kommen und jubeln auf der Höhe Zions, und herbeiströmen zu den Gütern Jehovas: zum Korn und zum Most und zum Öl und zu den jungen Schafen und Rindern; und ihre Seele wird sein wie ein bewässerter Garten, und sie werden hinfort nicht mehr verschmachten.
And they shall come and sing on the height of Zion, and shall come together as a stream to the goodness of the Lord, for wheat, and for wine, and for oil, and for the young of the flocks and of the herds, and their soul shall be as a well-watered garden; and they shall not farther experience grief any more.
13 Dann wird die Jungfrau sich freuen im Reigen, und Jünglinge und Greise allzumal; und ich will ihre Trauer in Freude verwandeln und sie trösten, und will sie erfreuen, indem ich sie von ihrem Kummer befreie [Eig. will sie erfreuen aus ihrem Kummer heraus.]
Then shall the virgin rejoice in the dance, and youth and old men together: and I will change their mourning into gladness, and I will comfort them, and make them rejoice from their sorrow.
14 Und ich will die Seele der Priester laben mit Fett, und mein Volk wird sich an meinen Gütern sättigen, spricht Jehova.
And I will satiate the soul of the priests with fatness, and my people shall be satisfied with my goodness, saith the Lord.
15 So spricht Jehova: Eine Stimme wird in Rama gehört, Wehklage, bitteres Weinen. Rahel beweint ihre Kinder; sie will sich nicht trösten lassen [Eig. sie weigert sich, sich trösten zu lassen] über ihre Kinder, weil sie nicht mehr sind.
Thus hath said the Lord, A voice is heard in Ramah, groaning, weeping, and bitter lamentation; Rachel is weeping for her children: she refuseth to be comforted for her children because they are not [here].
16 So spricht Jehova: Halte deine Stimme zurück vom Weinen und deine Augen von Tränen; denn es gibt Lohn für deine Arbeit, spricht Jehova, und sie werden aus dem Lande des Feindes zurückkehren;
Thus hath said the Lord, Refrain thy voice from weeping, and thy eyes from tears; for there is a reward for thy work, saith the Lord, and they shall return from the land of the enemy.
17 und Hoffnung ist da für dein Ende [O. deine Zukunft, ] spricht Jehova, und deine Kinder werden in ihr Gebiet zurückkehren.
And there is hope for [thee in] thy future, saith the Lord, and thy children shall return to their own borders.
18 Wohl habe ich Ephraim klagen hören: Du hast mich gezüchtigt, und ich bin gezüchtigt worden wie ein nicht ans Joch gewöhntes Kalb; bekehre mich, daß ich mich bekehre, denn du bist Jehova, mein Gott.
I have indeed heard Ephraim bemoaning himself, “Thou hast chastised me, and I was chastised, as an untamed calf; cause me to return, and I will return; for thou art the Lord my God.
19 Denn nach meiner Umkehr [O. meiner Bekehrung] empfinde ich Reue, und nachdem ich zur Erkenntnis gebracht worden bin [Eig. nachdem ich gewitzigt bin, ] schlage ich mich auf die Lenden. Ich schäme mich und bin auch zu Schanden geworden, denn ich trage die Schmach meiner Jugend. -
Surely after my returning, I repent; and after I am made conscious [by punishment], I smite upon my thigh: I am ashamed, yea, I am confounded, because I bear the disgrace of my youth.”
20 Ist mir Ephraim ein teurer Sohn oder ein Kind der Wonne? Denn sooft ich auch wider ihn geredet habe, gedenke ich seiner doch immer wieder. Darum ist mein Innerstes um ihn erregt; ich will mich gewißlich seiner erbarmen, spricht Jehova.
Is not Ephraim a dear son unto me? or a child that I dandle? for whenever I speak of him, I do earnestly remember him again: therefore are my inward parts moved for him; I will surely have mercy upon him, saith the Lord.
21 Richte dir Wegweiser auf, setze dir Stangen, richte dein Herz auf die Straße, auf den Weg, den du gegangen bist! Kehre um, Jungfrau Israel, kehre um zu diesen deinen Städten!
Set thyself up waymarks, place thyself pillars; direct thy heart toward the highway, the way which thou didst go: return, O virgin of Israel, return to these thy cities.
22 Wie lange willst du dich hin und her wenden, du abtrünnige Tochter? Denn Jehova hat ein Neues geschaffen auf der Erde: Das Weib wird den Mann umgeben.
How long wilt thou roam about, O thou backsliding daughter? for the Lord hath created a new thing on the earth, The woman will go about [seeking for] the husband.
23 So spricht Jehova der Heerscharen, der Gott Israels: Dieses Wort wird man noch sprechen im Lande Juda und in seinen Städten, wenn ich ihre Gefangenschaft wenden werde: Jehova segne dich, du Wohnung der Gerechtigkeit, du heiliger Berg!
Thus hath said the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, Yet again shall they say this word in the land of Judah and in the cities thereof, when I will bring back again their captivity, —May the Lord bless thee, O habitation of righteousness, O holy mountain.
24 Und Juda und alle seine Städte werden allzumal darin wohnen, Ackerleute und die mit der Herde umherziehen.
And there shall dwell therein Judah, and in all his cities together, husbandmen, and they that move about with the flocks.
25 Denn ich habe die lechzende Seele reichlich getränkt und jede schmachtende Seele gesättigt [Eig. gefüllt.]
For I have satiated the weary soul, and every grieving soul have I gratified.
26 Darüber erwachte ich und sah, und mein Schlaf war mir süß.
For this did I awake, and looked about, and my sleep was sweet unto me.
27 Siehe, Tage kommen, spricht Jehova, da ich das Haus Israel und das Haus Juda besäen werde mit Samen von Menschen und Samen von Vieh.
Behold, days are coming, saith the Lord, when I will sow the house of Israel and the house of Judah with the seed of man; and with the seed of cattle.
28 Und es wird geschehen, wie ich über sie gewacht habe, um auszureißen und abzubrechen und niederzureißen und zu zerstören und zu verderben, also werde ich über sie wachen, um zu bauen und zu pflanzen, spricht Jehova.
And it shall come to pass, that just as I have watched over them, to pluck up, and to pull down, and to overthrow, and to destroy, and to do harm: so will I watch over them, to build up, and to plant, saith the Lord.
29 In jenen Tagen wird man nicht mehr sagen: Die Väter haben Herlinge gegessen, und die Zähne der Söhne sind stumpf geworden;
In those days shall they not say any more, The fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the children's teeth are set on edge;
30 sondern ein jeder wird für seine Missetat sterben: Jeder Mensch, der Herlinge ißt, dessen Zähne sollen stumpf werden.
But every one shall die for his own iniquity: every man that eateth the sour grapes—his teeth shall be set on edge.
31 Siehe, Tage kommen, spricht Jehova, da ich mit dem Hause Israel und mit dem Hause Juda einen neuen Bund machen werde:
Behold, days are coming, saith the Lord, when I will make with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah, a new covenant;
32 nicht wie der Bund, den ich mit ihren Vätern gemacht habe an dem Tage, da ich sie bei der Hand faßte, um sie aus dem Lande Ägypten herauszuführen, welchen meinen Bund sie gebrochen haben; und doch hatte ich mich mit ihnen vermählt, spricht Jehova.
Not like the covenant that I made with their fathers on the day that I took hold of them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they have broken, although I was become their husband, saith the Lord;
33 Sondern dies ist der Bund, den ich mit dem Hause Israel machen werde nach jenen Tagen, spricht Jehova: Ich werde mein Gesetz in ihr Inneres legen und werde es auf ihr Herz schreiben; und ich werde ihr Gott, und sie werden mein Volk sein.
But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel, after those days, saith the Lord, I place my law in their inward parts, and upon their heart will I write it; and I will be unto them for a God, and they shall be unto me for a people.
34 Und sie werden nicht mehr ein jeder seinen Nächsten und ein jeder seinen Bruder lehren und sprechen: Erkennet Jehova! denn sie alle werden mich erkennen von ihrem Kleinsten bis zu ihrem Größten, spricht Jehova. Denn ich werde ihre Missetat vergeben und ihrer Sünde nicht mehr gedenken. -
And they shall not teach any more every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord; for they all shall know me, from the least of them even unto their greatest, saith the Lord; for I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin will I not remember any more.
35 So spricht Jehova, der die Sonne gesetzt hat zum Lichte bei Tage, die Ordnungen des Mondes und der Sterne zum Lichte bei Nacht, der das Meer erregt, und seine Wogen brausen, Jehova der Heerscharen ist sein Name:
Thus hath said the Lord, who bestoweth the sun for a light by day, the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, who stirreth up the sea that its waves roar—The Lord of hosts is his name:
36 Wenn diese Ordnungen vor [Eig. von vor] meinem Angesicht weichen werden, spricht Jehova, so soll auch der Same Israels aufhören, eine Nation zu sein vor meinem Angesicht alle Tage.
If these ordinances ever depart from before me, saith the Lord, then also shall the seed of Israel cease from being a nation before me during all time.
37 So spricht Jehova: Wenn die Himmel oben gemessen, und die Grundfesten der Erde unten erforscht werden können, so will ich auch den ganzen Samen Israels verwerfen wegen alles dessen, was sie getan haben, spricht Jehova.
Thus hath said the Lord, If the heavens can be measured above, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath: then also will I reject all the seed of Israel, for all that they have done, saith the Lord.
38 Siehe, Tage kommen, spricht Jehova, da diese Stadt dem Jehova gebaut werden wird vom Turme Hananel bis zum Ecktore.
Behold, days are coming, saith the Lord, when the city shall be built up to the Lord from the tower of Chananel unto the corner-gate.
39 Und die Meßschnur wird weiter fortlaufen geradeaus über den Hügel Gareb, und sich nach Goah wenden.
And the measuring-line shall yet again go forth opposite it over the hill Gareb, and shall take a turn to Go'ath.
40 Und das ganze Tal der Leichen und der Asche, und alles Gefilde bis zum Bache [O. Tale] Kidron, bis zur Ecke des Roßtores gegen Osten, wird Jehova heilig sein; es soll nicht ausgerottet noch zerstört werden in Ewigkeit.
And the whole valley of the dead bodies, and of the ashes, and all fields as far as the brook Kidron, unto the corner of the horse-gate toward the east, shall be holy unto the Lord: it shall not be plucked up, nor overthrown any more to eternity.
