Jeremia 28

1 Und es geschah in demselben Jahre, im Anfang der Regierung Zedekias, des Königs von Juda, im vierten Jahre, im fünften Monat, da sprach zu mir Hananja, der Sohn Assurs, der Prophet, der von Gibeon war, im Hause Jehovas vor den Augen der Priester und alles Volkes, und sagte:

And it came to pass in the same year, in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah the king of Judah, in the fourth year, in the fifth month, that there said unto me Chananyah the son of 'Azzur the prophet, who was from Gib'on, in the house of the Lord, before the eyes of the priests, and of all the people, as followeth,

2 So spricht Jehova der Heerscharen, der Gott Israels, und sagt: Ich zerbreche das Joch des Königs von Babel.

Thus hath said the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, saying, I have broken the yoke of the king of Babylon;

3 Binnen zwei Jahren [Eig. Jahren von Tagen, d. h. nach genau zwei Jahren; so auch v 11] werde ich alle Geräte des Hauses Jehovas an diesen Ort zurückbringen, welche Nebukadnezar, der König von Babel, von diesem Orte weggenommen und nach Babel gebracht hat.

Within yet two years' time will I cause to be brought back unto this place all the vessels of the house of the Lord, which Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon hath taken away from this place, and which he hath carried to Babylon:

4 Und Jekonja, den Sohn Jojakims, den König von Juda, und alle Weggeführten von Juda, die nach Babel gekommen sind, werde ich an diesen Ort zurückbringen, spricht Jehova; denn ich werde das Joch des Königs von Babel zerbrechen.

And Jechonyah the son of Jehoyakim the king of Judah, and all the exiles of Judah that are gone to Babylon, will I cause to return to this place, saith the Lord; for I will break the yoke of the king of Babylon.

5 Da sprach der Prophet Jeremia zu dem Propheten Hananja vor den Augen der Priester und vor den Augen alles Volkes, das im Hause Jehovas stand;

Then said Jeremiah the prophet unto Chananyah the prophet before the eyes of the priests, and before the eyes of all the people that stood in the house of the Lord,

6 und der Prophet Jeremia sprach: Amen, Jehova tue also! Jehova bestätige deine Worte, die du geweissagt hast, daß er die Geräte des Hauses Jehovas und alle Weggeführten von Babel an diesen Ort zurückbringe!

Yea, then said Jeremiah the prophet, Amen, may the Lord do so: may the Lord fulfill thy words which thou hast prophesied, to cause the vessels of the Lord's house, and all that have been carried into exile, to be brought back from Babylon unto this place.

7 Nur höre doch dieses Wort, welches ich vor deinen Ohren und vor den Ohren alles Volkes rede:

Nevertheless hear thou now this word which I speak before thy ears, and before the ears of all the people:

8 Die Propheten, welche von alters her vor mir und vor dir gewesen sind, sie haben auch über viele Länder und über große Königreiche geweissagt von Krieg und von Unglück und von Pest.

The prophets that have been before me and before thee from olden times prophesied both concerning many countries, and against great kingdoms, respecting war, and respecting evil, and respecting pestilence.

9 Der Prophet, der von Frieden weissagt, wird, wenn das Wort des Propheten eintrifft, als der Prophet erkannt werden, welchen Jehova in Wahrheit gesandt hat.

The prophet who prophesieth of peace, when the word of the prophet doth come to pass, then shall the prophet be known, [as the one] whom the Lord hath sent in truth.

10 Und Hananja, der Prophet, nahm die Jochstäbe [Eig. den Jochstab] vom Halse des Propheten Jeremia und zerbrach sie.

Then took Chananyah the prophet the yoke-bar from off the neck of Jeremiah the prophet, and broke it.

11 Und Hananja redete vor den Augen alles Volkes und sprach: So spricht Jehova: Ebenso werde ich binnen zwei Jahren das Joch Nebukadnezars, des Königs von Babel, zerbrechen vom Halse aller Nationen. Und der Prophet Jeremia ging seines Weges.

And Chananyah said before the eyes of all the people, as followeth, Thus hath said the Lord, Even so will I break the yoke of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon within two years' time from the neck of all the nations. And Jeremiah the prophet went his way.

12 Und das Wort Jehovas geschah zu Jeremia, nachdem der Prophet Hananja die Jochstäbe [Eig. den Jochstab] vom Halse des Propheten Jeremia zerbrochen hatte, also:

Then came the word of the Lord unto Jeremiah, after Chananyah the prophet had broken the yoke-bar from off the neck of Jeremiah the prophet, saying,

13 Geh und sprich zu Hananja und sage: So spricht Jehova: Hölzerne Jochstäbe hast du zerbrochen, aber an ihrer Statt eiserne Jochstäbe gemacht.

Go and say unto Chananyah as followeth, Thus hath said the Lord, Yoke-bars of wood hast thou broken; but thou shalt make in their stead yoke-bars of iron.

14 Denn so spricht Jehova der Heerscharen, der Gott Israels: Ein eisernes Joch habe ich auf den Hals aller dieser Nationen gelegt, damit sie Nebukadnezar, dem König von Babel, dienen, und sie werden ihm dienen; und auch die Tiere des Feldes habe ich ihm gegeben.

For thus hath said the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, A yoke of iron have I placed upon the neck of all these nations, that they may serve Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon; and they shall work for him: and also the beasts of the field have I given him.

15 Und der Prophet Jeremia sprach zu dem Propheten Hananja: Höre doch, Hananja! Jehova hat dich nicht gesandt, sondern du hast dieses Volk auf eine Lüge vertrauen lassen.

Then said Jeremiah the prophet unto Chananyah the prophet, Hear now, Chananyah, The Lord did not send thee; but thou hast caused this people to trust on a falsehood.

16 Darum, so spricht Jehova: Siehe, ich werfe dich vom Erdboden hinweg; dieses Jahr wirst du sterben; denn du hast Abfall geredet wider Jehova.

Therefore thus hath said the Lord, Behold, I will send thee away from off the face of the earth: this year shalt thou die, because thou hast spoken rebellion against the Lord.

17 Und der Prophet Hananja starb in demselben Jahre im siebten Monat.

So Chananyah the prophet died in that same year, in the seventh month.
