1 Mose 46
1 Und Israel brach auf und alles, was er hatte, und kam nach Beerseba; und er opferte Schlachtopfer dem Gott seines Vaters Isaak.
And Israel yede forth with alle thingis that he hadde, and he cam to the pit of ooth; and whanne sacrifices weren slayn there to God of his fadir Isaac,
2 Und Gott sprach zu Israel in den Gesichten der Nacht und sagte: Jakob! Jakob! Und er sprach: Hier bin ich.
he herde God bi a visioun in that nyyt clepynge hym, `and seiynge to hym, Jacob! Jacob! To whom he answeride, Lo! Y am present.
3 Und er sprach: Ich bin Gott, [W. der Gott; El] der Gott deines Vaters; fürchte dich nicht, nach Ägypten hinabzuziehen; denn zu einer großen Nation will ich dich daselbst machen.
God seide to hym, Y am the strongeste God of thi fadir; nyle thou drede, go doun in to Egipt, for Y schal make thee there in to a greet folk;
4 Ich will mit dir nach Ägypten hinabziehen, und ich will dich auch gewißlich heraufführen; und Joseph soll seine Hand auf deine Augen legen.
Y schal go doun thidir with thee, and Y schal brynge thee turnynge ayen fro thennus, and Joseph schal sette his hond on thin iyen.
5 Da machte sich Jakob von Beerseba auf, und die Söhne Israels führten Jakob, ihren Vater, und ihre Kinder und ihre Weiber auf den Wagen, die der Pharao gesandt hatte, ihn zu holen.
Jacob roos fro the pit of ooth, and the sones token him, with her litle children, and wyues, in the waynes whiche Farao hadde sent to bere the eld man,
6 Und sie nahmen ihr Vieh und ihre Habe, die sie im Lande Kanaan erworben hatten, und kamen nach Ägypten, Jakob und all sein Same mit ihm:
and alle thingis whiche he weldide in the lond of Canaan; and he cam in to Egipt with his seed,
7 seine Söhne und die Söhne seiner Söhne mit ihm, seine Töchter und die Töchter seiner Söhne, und all seinen Samen brachte er mit sich nach Ägypten.
hise sones, and her sones, and douytris, and al the generacioun togidere.
8 Und dies sind die Namen der Söhne Israels, die nach Ägypten kamen: Jakob und seine Söhne; der Erstgeborene Jakobs: Ruben.
Forsothe thes ben the names of the sones of Israel, that entriden in to Egipte; he with hise fre children. The firste gendrid Ruben;
9 Und die Söhne Rubens: Hanok und Pallu und Hezron und Karmi.
the sones of Ruben, Enoch, and Fallu, and Esrom, and Carmi.
10 Und die Söhne Simeons: Jemuel und Jamin und Ohad und Jakin und Zochar und Saul, der Sohn der Kanaaniterin.
The sones of Symeon, Jemuhel, and Jamyn, and Ahoth, and Jachyn, and Sab, and Saber, and Saul, the sone of a womman of Canaan.
11 Und die Söhne Levis: Gerson, Kehath und Merari.
The sones of Leuy, Gerson, Caath, and Merarie.
12 Und die Söhne Judas: Gher und Onan und Schela und Perez und Serach; Gher und Onan aber starben im Lande Kanaan. Und die Söhne des Perez waren Hezron und Hamul.
The sones of Juda, Her and Onam, and Sela, and Fares, and Zara. Forsothe Her and Onam dieden in the lond of Canaan; and the sones of Fares weren borun, Esrom, and Amul.
13 Und die Söhne Issaschars: Tola und Puwa und Job und Schimron.
The sones of Isacar, Thola, and Fua, and Jobab, and Semron.
14 Und die Söhne Sebulons: Sered und Elon und Jachleel.
The sones of Zabulon, Sared, and Thelom, and Jahel.
15 Das sind die Söhne Leas, welche sie dem Jakob in Paddan-Aram gebar, und Dina, seine Tochter. Aller Seelen seiner Söhne und seiner Töchter waren 33. -
These ben the sones of Lia, whiche sche childide in Mesopotanye of Sirie, with Dyna, hir douyter; alle the soules of hise sones and douytris, thre and thretti.
16 Und die Söhne Gads: Ziphjon und Haggi, Schuni und Ezbon, Eri und Arodi und Areli.
The sones of Gad, Sefion, and Aggi, Suny, and Hesebon, Heri, and Arodi, and Areli.
17 Und die Söhne Asers: Jimna und Jischwa und Jischwi und Beria, und Serach, ihre Schwester. Und die Söhne Berias: Heber und Malkiel.
The sones of Aser, Jamne, and Jesua, and Jesui, and Beria; and Sara, the sister of hem. The sones of Beria, Heber and Melchiel.
18 Das sind die Söhne Silpas, die Laban seiner Tochter Lea gab; und sie gebar diese dem Jakob, sechzehn Seelen. -
These weren the sones of Zelfa, whom Laban yaf to Lia, his douyter, and Jacob gendryde these sixtene persones.
19 Die Söhne Rahels, des Weibes Jakobs: Joseph und Benjamin.
The sones of Rachel, `wijf of Jacob, weren Joseph and Beniamyn.
20 Und dem Joseph wurden im Lande Ägypten Manasse und Ephraim geboren, welche Asnath ihm gebar, die Tochter Potipheras, des Priesters von On.
And sones weren borun to Joseph in the loond of Egipt, Manasses and Effraym, whiche Asenech, `douytir of Putifar, preest of Helipoleos, childide to hym.
21 Und die Söhne Benjamins: Bela und Beker und Aschbel, Gera und Naaman, Echi und Rosch, Muppim und Huppim und Ard.
The sones of Beniamin weren Bela, and Becor, and Asbel, Gera, and Naaman, and Jechi, `Ros, and Mofym, and Ofym, and Ared.
22 Das sind die Söhne Rahels, die dem Jakob geboren wurden; aller Seelen waren vierzehn. -
These weren the sones of Rachel, whiche Jacob gendride; alle the persones weren fouretene.
23 Und die Söhne Dans: Huschim.
The sone of Dan, Vsym.
24 Und die Söhne Naphtalis: Jachzeel und Guni und Jezer und Schillem.
The sones of Neptalym, Jasiel, and Guny, and Jeser, and Salem.
25 Das sind die Söhne Bilhas, die Laban seiner Tochter Rahel gab; und sie gebar diese dem Jakob; aller Seelen waren sieben. -
These weren `the sones of Bala, whom Laban yaf to Rachel his douytir.
26 Aller dem Jakob angehörenden Seelen, die nach Ägypten kamen, die aus seinen Lenden hervorgegangen waren, ausgenommen die Weiber der Söhne Jakobs, aller Seelen waren 66.
And Jacob gendride these; alle the soules weren seuene. And alle the men that entriden with Jacob in to Egipt, and yeden out of his thiy, with out `the wyues of his sones, weren sixti and sixe.
27 Und die Söhne Josephs, die ihm in Ägypten geboren wurden, waren zwei Seelen. Aller Seelen des Hauses Jakob, die nach Ägypten kamen, waren siebzig. [Nach der Alexandrinischen Übersetzung, welche in v 20 noch einen Sohn und einen Enkel des Manasse sowie zwei Söhne und einen Enkel des Ephraim erwähnt, sind es 75 Seelen. Vergl. Apg. 7,14]
Forsothe the sones of Joseph, that weren borun to hym in `the loond of Egipt, weren two men. Alle the soulis of `the hows of Jacob, that entriden in to Egipt, weren seuenti.
28 Und er sandte Juda vor sich hin zu Joseph, um vor ihm her zu weisen nach Gosen; [O. vor ihm eine Anzeige zu machen, daß er nach Gosen käme] und sie kamen in das Land Gosen.
Forsothe Jacob sente Judas bifore hym to Joseph, that he schulde telle to hym, and he schulde `come in to Gessen.
29 Da spannte Joseph seinen Wagen an und zog hinauf, seinem Vater Israel entgegen nach Gosen; und als er seiner ansichtig wurde, fiel er ihm um den Hals und weinte lange [O. in einem fort] an seinem Halse.
And whanne Jacob hadde come thidir, Joseph stiede in his chare to mete his fadir at the same place. And he siy Jacob, and felde on `his necke, and wepte bitwixe collyngis.
30 Und Israel sprach zu Joseph: Nunmehr mag ich sterben, nachdem ich dein Angesicht gesehen habe, daß du noch lebst!
And the fadir seide to Joseph, Now Y schal die ioiful, for Y siy thi face, and Y leeue thee lyuynge.
31 Und Joseph sprach zu seinen Brüdern und zum Hause seines Vaters: Ich will hinaufziehen und dem Pharao berichten und zu ihm sagen: Meine Brüder und das Haus meines Vaters, die im Lande Kanaan waren, sind zu mir gekommen.
And Joseph spak to hise brithren, and to al `the hows of his fadir, I schal stie, and `Y schal telle to Farao, and Y schal seie to hym, My britheren, and the hows of my fadir, that weren in the lond of Canaan, ben comun to me,
32 Und die Männer sind Schafhirten, [Eig. Kleinviehhirten; so auch später] denn sie haben Viehzucht getrieben; und sie haben ihr Kleinvieh und ihre Rinder und alles, was sie haben, mitgebracht.
and thei ben men kepers of scheep, and han bisynesse of flockis to be fed; thei brouyten with hem her scheep and grete beestis, and alle thingis whiche thei miyten haue.
33 Und geschieht es, daß der Pharao euch ruft und spricht: Was ist eure Hantierung?
And whanne Farao schal clepe you, and schal seie, What is youre werk?
34 so saget: Deine Knechte haben Viehzucht getrieben, von Jugend auf bis jetzt, sowohl wir als auch unsere Väter, auf daß ihr wohnen möget im Lande Gosen; denn alle Schafhirten sind den Ägyptern ein Greuel.
ye schulen answere, We ben thi seruauntis, men scheepherdis, fro oure childhed til in to present tyme, bothe we and oure fadris. Sotheli ye schulen seye these thingis, that ye moun dwelle in the lond of Gessen, for Egipcians wlaten alle keperis of scheep.
