Hesekiel 7
1 Und das Wort Jehovas geschah zu mir also:
And the word of Yahweh came unto me, saying:
2 Und du, Menschensohn, so spricht der Herr, Jehova, zum Lande Israel: Es hat ein Ende! das Ende kommt über die vier Ecken des Landes!
Thou therefore O son of man. Thus saith My Lord Yahweh, To the so of Israel, there is an end, - The end hath come upon the four skirts of the land.
3 Nun kommt das Ende über dich, und ich werde meinen Zorn wider dich senden und dich nach deinen Wegen richten; und alle deine Greuel werde ich über dich bringen.
Now is the end upon thee, Therefore will I send mine anger against thee, And judge thee according to thy ways, - And lay upon thee all thine abominations;
4 Und mein Auge wird deiner nicht schonen [Eig. nicht mitleidig auf dir ruhen [auf dich blicken]; so auch v 9 usw. [Vergl. Kap. 16,5], ] und ich werde mich nicht erbarmen; sondern ich will deine Wege über dich bringen, und deine Greuel sollen in deiner Mitte sein. Und ihr werdet wissen, daß ich Jehova bin.
And mine eye shall not shield thee. Neither will I pity, —. For thy ways—upon thee, will I lay. And thine abominations in thy midst, shall be found, So shall ye know that, I, am Yahweh.
5 So spricht der Herr, Jehova: Unglück, einziges Unglück, siehe, es kommt!
Thus saith My Lord Yahweh: A calamity, a sole calamity, lo! it hath come.
6 das Ende kommt; es kommt das Ende, es erwacht wider dich; siehe, es kommt!
An end hath come, Come hath the end It hath roused itself up against thee, — Lo! it hath come.
7 Es kommt das Verhängnis über dich, Bewohner des Landes; es kommt die Zeit, nahe ist der Tag; Getümmel und nicht Jubel auf den Bergen [Eig. der Berge!]
The circle hath come round unto thee. O inhabitant of the land, - The time, hath come, The day of consternation, hath drawn near. And not the joyful shout of the mountains.
8 Jetzt, bald werde ich meinen Grimm über dich ausgießen und meinen Zorn an dir vollenden, und dich nach deinen Wegen richten; und alle deine Greuel werde ich über dich bringen.
Now shortly, will I pour out mine indignation upon thee, And will bring to an end mine anger against thee, And will judge thee according to thy ways, - And will lay upon thee all thine abominations.
9 Und mein Auge soll nicht schonen, und ich werde mich nicht erbarmen; nach deinen Wegen will ichs über dich bringen, und deine Greuel sollen in deiner Mitte sein. Und ihr werdet wissen, daß ich, Jehova, es bin, der schlägt. -
And mine eye shall not shield thee Neither will I have pity, — According to thy ways, unto thee will I render, And thine abominations, in thy midst shall be found, So shall ye know that I, Yahweh am smiting.
10 Siehe, der Tag! siehe, es kommt! Das Verhängnis wächst hervor; es blüht die Rute [d. h. die Zuchtrute [eig. der Stock], ] es sproßt der Übermut;
Lo! the day, Lo! it hath come, The circle, hath gone forth, The sceptre, hath blossomed, Insolence hath sprouted:
11 die Gewalttat erhebt sich zur Rute der Gesetzlosigkeit. Nichts von ihnen wird bleiben, nichts von ihrer Menge und nichts von ihrem Getümmel, und nichts Herrliches an ihnen.
Violence hath risen up as a sceptre of lawlessness, —There are none of them And none of their multitude And none of their throngs And no lamentation over them.
12 Die Zeit kommt, der Tag trifft ein! Der Käufer freue sich nicht, und der Verkäufer betrübe sich nicht; denn Zornglut kommt über seine [bezieht sich auf das Wort "Land" in v 2] ganze Menge.
The time hath come. The day hath arrived, The buyer, let him not rejoice, and The seller, let him not mourn, — For indignation, is against all her multitude.
13 Denn der Verkäufer wird nicht wieder zu dem Verkauften gelangen [Vergl. 3. Mose 25,14-28,] und wenn er auch noch am Leben wäre unter den Lebenden; denn das Gesicht wider seine [bezieht sich auf das Wort "Land" in v 2] ganze Menge wird nicht rückgängig werden, und niemand wird durch seine Ungerechtigkeit sein Leben befestigen.
For the seller, unto that which is to be sold, shall not return, though yet among the living, were their life, for the vision is against all her multitude. He shall not return, And, no man, by his punishment, shall strengthen, his life.
14 Man stößt in das Horn und macht alles bereit, aber niemand zieht in den Streit; denn meine Zornglut kommt über seine [bezieht sich auf das Wort "Land" in v 2] ganze Menge. -
They have blown the trumpet, even to make All ready, Yet is there none going to the battle; For mine indignation is against all her multitude.
15 Das Schwert ist draußen und die Pest und der Hunger drinnen. Wer auf dem Felde ist, wird durchs Schwert sterben; und wer in der Stadt ist, den werden Hunger und Pest verzehren.
The sword without, and Pestilence and famine within, — He that is in the field by the sword, shall die, and He that is in the city famine or pestilence shall devour him;
16 Und wenn Entronnene von ihnen entrinnen, so werden sie auf den Bergen sein wie die Tauben der Täler, alle girrend, ein jeder wegen seiner Missetat.
While they who escape of them shall escape and become on the mountains as the doves of the valleys, all of them cooing, —each one in his punishment.
17 Alle Hände werden erschlaffen, und alle Knie werden zerfließen wie Wasser.
All hands shall be unnerved; and All knees shall be weak as water,
18 Und sie werden sich Sacktuch umgürten, und Schauder wird sie bedecken, und auf allen Angesichtern wird Scham sein, und Kahlheit auf allen ihren Häuptern.
Therefore shall they gird themselves with sackcloth, And shuddering shall cover them, -And in all faces, shall be paleness, And in all their heads, baldness.
19 Ihr Silber werden sie auf die Gassen werfen, und ihr Gold wird als Unflat gelten; ihr Silber und ihr Gold wird sie nicht erretten können am Tage des Grimmes Jehovas; ihren Hunger werden sie damit nicht stillen und ihren Bauch davon nicht füllen. Denn es ist ein Anstoß zu ihrer Missetat gewesen.
Their silver into the streets, shall they cast and Their gold for throwing away, shall serve, Their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of Yahweh, Their craving, shall they not satisfy, and Their belly, shall they not fill, For a stumbling-block, hath their iniquity become.
20 Und seinen zierenden Schmuck, zur Hoffart hat es [d. h. das Volk] ihn gebraucht [Eig. gestellt] und ihre Greuelbilder, ihre Scheusale, haben sie daraus verfertigt; darum habe ich ihnen denselben zum Unflat gemacht.
When, the beauty of his own ornament, he had, in majesty, placed, Then, the images, of their abominations Their detestable things, Made they therein, — For this cause have I delivered it up to them for removal;
21 Und ich will ihn der Hand der Fremden zur Beute geben und den Gesetzlosen der Erde zum Raube, daß sie ihn entweihen.
Yea I will deliver it Into the hand of foreigners for a prey, And to the lawless ones of the earth for a spoil, And they will profane it;
22 Und ich werde mein Angesicht von ihnen abwenden, daß sie meine verborgene Stätte [O. wie anderswo: meinen Schatz] entweihen; und Gewalttätige werden in dieselbe eindringen und sie entweihen.
And I will turn away my face from them, And they will profane my cherished place, —Yea there will enter it violent men Who will profane it.
23 Verfertige die Kette! denn das Land ist voll Blutschuld, und die Stadt voll Gewalttat.
Prepare thou a chain, — For, the land, is full of the crime of bloodshed, And, the city, is full of violence.
24 Und ich werde die bösesten der Nationen kommen lassen, daß sie ihre Häuser in Besitz nehmen; und ich werde der Hoffart der Starken ein Ende machen, daß ihre Heiligtümer entweiht werden.
So then I will bring in the wicked ones of the nations, And they shall take possession of their houses, —And I will cause to cease the pomp of the strong ones, And their holy places shall be profaned.
25 Schrecken kommt; und sie werden Frieden suchen, aber da ist keiner.
Destruction, hath entered, - And they shall seek welfare and there be none.
26 Verderben auf Verderben wird kommen, und Gerücht auf Gerücht wird entstehen. Und sie werden von Propheten Gesichte suchen; aber das Gesetz wird dem Priester entschwinden und den Ältesten der Rat.
Disaster upon disaster, shall come, And report after report shall arise, Therefore shall they seek a vision from prophet, And law shall perish from priest. And counsel from elders.
27 Der König wird trauern, und der Fürst wird sich in Entsetzen kleiden, und die Hände des Volkes des Landes werden zittern. Nach ihren Wegen will ich mit ihnen handeln, und mit ihren Rechten will ich sie richten, und sie werden wissen, daß ich Jehova bin.
The king, shall mourn and, The chief, shall clothe himself with astonishment, and, the hands of the people of the land, shall be wrung in anguish, — After their own way, will I deal with them and, With their own sentences, will I sentence them, And they shall know that, I, am Yahweh.
