Hesekiel 44

1 Und er führte mich zurück des Weges zum äußeren Tore des Heiligtums, welches gegen Osten sah; und es war verschlossen.

And he brought me back by the way of the outer gate of the sanctuary which looked toward the east: and it was locked.

2 Und Jehova sprach zu mir: Dieses Tor soll verschlossen sein; es soll nicht geöffnet werden, und niemand soll durch dasselbe eingehen; weil Jehova, der Gott Israels, durch dasselbe eingezogen ist, [Vergl. Kap. 43,2. 4.] so soll es verschlossen sein.

Then said the Lord unto me, This gate shall remain locked, it shall not be opened, and no man shall enter in by it; because the Lord, the God of Israel, hath entered in by it, therefore shall it remain locked.

3 Was den Fürsten betrifft, er, der Fürst, soll darin sitzen, um zu essen [d. h. um eine Opfermahlzeit zu halten. [Vergl. 2. Mose 18,12]] vor Jehova; auf dem Wege der Torhalle soll er hineingehen, und auf demselben [W. ihrem] Wege soll er hinausgehen.

As for the prince, being the prince, he shall sit in it to eat bread before the Lord: by the way of the porch of that gate shall he enter, and by the way of the same shall he go out.

4 Und er brachte mich auf dem Wege des Nordtores vor das Haus; und ich sah: und siehe, die Herrlichkeit Jehovas erfüllte das Haus Jehovas; und ich fiel nieder auf mein Angesicht.

Then brought he me by the way of the north gate before the house; and I looked, and, behold, the glory of the Lord filled the house of the Lord: and I fell upon my face.

5 Und Jehova sprach zu mir: Menschensohn, richte dein Herz darauf, und sieh mit deinen Augen und höre mit deinen Ohren alles, was ich mit dir rede betreffs aller Satzungen des Hauses Jehovas und betreffs aller seiner Gesetze; und richte dein Herz auf den Eingang des Hauses samt allen Ausgängen des Heiligtums.

And the Lord said unto me, Son of man, direct thy mind, and see with thy eyes, and hear with thy ears all that I am speaking with thee concerning all the ordinances of the house of the Lord, and of all its laws; and direct thy mind to the entrance of the house, with every place of egress of the sanctuary.

6 Und sprich zu den Widerspenstigen, zu dem Hause Israel: So spricht der Herr, Jehova: Laßt es genug sein an allen euren Greueln, Haus Israel!

And thou shalt say to the rebellious, to the house of Israel, Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Ye have done enough with all your abominations, O house of Israel!

7 indem ihr Söhne der Fremde, unbeschnitten am Herzen und unbeschnitten am Fleische, hineinführtet, um in meinem Heiligtum zu sein, mein Haus [W. es, mein Haus] zu entweihen, wenn ihr meine Speise [W. mein Brot, ] Fett und Blut, darbrachtet, so daß sie meinen Bund brachen zu allen euren Greueln hinzu.

In your having brought the sons of the stranger, uncircumcised in heart, and uncircumcised in flesh, to be in my sanctuary, to pollute it, even my house, while you were offering my food, the fat and the blood: so that they broke my covenant because of all your abominations.

8 Und ihr habt der Hut meiner heiligen Dinge nicht gewartet, sondern habt sie [näml. die Fremden [v 7]] euch zu Wärtern meiner Hut gesetzt in meinem Heiligtum. -

And [because] ye have not kept the charge of my holy things; but ye have set [those unworthy ones] as keepers of my charge in my sanctuary at your own pleasure.

9 So spricht der Herr, Jehova: Kein Sohn der Fremde, unbeschnitten am Herzen und unbeschnitten am Fleische, von allen Söhnen der Fremde, welche inmitten der Kinder Israel sind, soll in mein Heiligtum kommen.

Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, No son of the stranger, uncircumcised in heart, or uncircumcised in flesh, shall enter into my sanctuary, of all the sons of the stranger that are in the midst of the children of Israel.

10 Wahrlich, die Leviten, die sich von mir entfernt haben bei der Verirrung Israels, welches von mir abgeirrt ist, seinen Götzen nach, sie sollen ihre Missetat [O. ihre Ungerechtigkeit, Schuld; so auch nachher] tragen;

But as respecteth the Levites that were gone away far from me, when Israel went astray, who went astray away from me, after their idols, they shall surely bear their iniquity;

11 aber sie sollen in meinem Heiligtum Diener sein, als Wachen an den Toren des Hauses und als Diener des Hauses; sie sollen das Brandopfer und das Schlachtopfer für das Volk schlachten, und sie sollen vor ihnen stehen, um ihnen zu dienen.

And they shall be in my sanctuary, servants, appointed to watch at the gates of the house, and to be servants for the house: these are they that shall slay the burnt-offerings and the sacrifices for the people, and they shall stand before them to do the service for them.

12 Weil sie ihnen vor ihren Götzen gedient haben und dem Hause Israel ein Anstoß zur Verschuldung gewesen sind, darum habe ich meine Hand wider sie erhoben [d. h. zum Schwure, ] spricht der Herr, Jehova, daß sie ihre Missetat tragen sollen.

Because that they used to serve them before their idols, and have been unto the house of Israel as a stumbling-block of iniquity; therefore have I lifted up my hand against them, saith the Lord Eternal, and they shall bear their iniquity;

13 Und sie sollen mir nicht nahen, um mir den Priesterdienst auszuüben, und um allen meinen heiligen Dingen, den hochheiligen, zu nahen; sondern sie sollen ihre Schmach und ihre Greuel tragen, die sie verübt haben.

And they shall not come near unto me, to officiate as priests unto me, nor to come near to any of my holy things, to the most holy things; but they shall bear their shame, yea, for their abominations which they have committed.

14 Und ich werde sie zu Wärtern der Hut des Hauses machen, für [O. nach, gemäß] all seinen Dienst und für [O. nach, gemäß] alles, was darin verrichtet wird.

And I will appoint them to be keepers of the charge of the house, for all the service thereof, and for all that shall be done therein.

15 Aber die Priester, die Leviten, die Söhne Zadoks [Vergl. 2. Sam. 15,24 usw.; 1. Kön. 1,32 usw.; 2,26. 27. 35., ] welche der Hut meines Heiligtums gewartet haben, als die Kinder Israel von mir abirrten, sie sollen mir nahen, um mir zu dienen, und sollen vor mir stehen, um mir das Fett und das Blut darzubringen, spricht der Herr, Jehova.

But the priests the Levites, the sons of Zadok, that kept the charge of my sanctuary when the children of Israel went astray from me, —these are they that shall come near unto me to minister unto me, and they shall stand before me to offer unto me the fat and the blood, saith the Lord Eternal:

16 Sie sollen in mein Heiligtum kommen, und sie sollen meinem Tische [Vergl. Kap. 41,22] nahen, um mir zu dienen, und sollen meiner Hut warten. -

These are they that shall enter into my sanctuary, and these shall come near to my table, to minister unto me; and they shall keep my charge.

17 Und es soll geschehen, wenn sie zu den Toren des inneren Vorhofs eingehen, sollen sie leinene Kleider anziehen; aber Wolle soll nicht auf sie kommen, wenn sie in den Toren des inneren Vorhofs und gegen das Haus hin dienen.

And it shall come to pass, that, when they enter in at the gates of the inner court, they shall clothe themselves with linen garments; and there shall no wool come upon them, when they minister in the gates of the inner court, and within the house.

18 Leinene Kopfbunde sollen auf ihrem Haupte sein, und leinene Beinkleider an ihren Lenden; sie sollen sich nicht in Schweiß [d. h. in etwas, das Schweiß hervorbringt] gürten.

Linen bonnets shall be upon their heads, and linen breeches shall be upon their loins: they shall not gird themselves with any thing that causeth sweat.

19 Und wenn sie in den äußeren Vorhof hinausgehen, in den äußeren Vorhof zum Volke, so sollen sie ihre Kleider, in welchen sie gedient haben, ausziehen in die heiligen Zellen niederlegen, und sollen andere Kleider anziehen, damit sie nicht das Volk mit ihren Kleidern heiligen.

And when they go forth into the outer court, into the outer court to the people: then shall they put off their garments wherein they have ministered, and they shall lay them down in the holy chambers; and they shall put on other garments, and they shall not mingle among the people with their garments.

20 Und sie sollen weder ihr Haupt kahl scheren, noch auch das Haar frei wachsen lassen; sie sollen ihr Haupthaar schneiden.

And their heads shall they not shave close, nor suffer their hair to grow long: they shall only crop [the hair of] their heads.

21 Und kein Priester soll Wein trinken, wenn sie in den inneren Vorhof gehen.

And wine shall none of the priests drink when they enter into the inner court.

22 Und eine Witwe und eine Verstoßene sollen sie sich nicht zu Weibern nehmen; sondern Jungfrauen vom Samen des Hauses Israel und die Witwe, welche von einem Priester Witwe geworden ist, mögen sie nehmen.

And a widow, or one that is divorced from her husband shall they not take to themselves as wives; but only virgins of the seed of the house of Israel; but whatever widow it may be, the [common] priests may take.

23 Und sie sollen mein Volk den Unterschied lehren zwischen Heiligem und Unheiligem, und sollen ihm den Unterschied kundtun zwischen Unreinem und Reinem.

And my people shall they teach the difference between the holy and profane, and that between the unclean and the clean shall they make known unto them.

24 Und über Streitsachen sollen sie zum Gericht dastehen, nach meinen Rechten sollen sie richten; und sie sollen meine Gesetze und meine Satzungen bei allen meinen Festen beobachten und meine Sabbathe heiligen.

And in a controversy shall they stand up to judge, according to my ordinances shall they decide it: and my laws and my statutes at all my festivals shall they observe, and my sabbaths shall they sanctify.

25 Und keiner soll zu dem Leichnam eines Menschen gehen, daß er unrein werde; nur allein wegen Vater und Mutter, und wegen Sohn und Tochter, wegen eines Bruders und wegen einer Schwester, die keines Mannes gewesen ist, dürfen sie sich verunreinigen.

And to a dead person shall they not come to defile themselves; but on father, or on mother, or on son, or on daughter, on brother, or on sister that hath had no husband, may they defile themselves.

26 Und nach seiner Reinigung soll man ihm sieben Tage zählen;

And after he is become clean, —they shall reckon unto him seven days, —

27 und an dem Tage, da er in das Heiligtum, in den inneren Vorhof, hineingeht, um im Heiligtum zu dienen, soll er sein Sündopfer darbringen, spricht der Herr, Jehova. -

Then shall he on the day that he cometh into the sanctuary, into the inner court, to minister in the sanctuary, offer his sin-offering, saith the Lord Eternal.

28 Und dies soll ihr Erbteil sein: ich bin ihr Erbteil [Eig. Und es soll ihnen zum Erbteil sein, daß ich ihr Erbteil bin; ] und ihr sollt ihnen kein Besitztum in Israel geben: ich bin ihr Besitztum.

And it shall be unto them as an inheritance, I am their inheritance: and any possession shall you not give them in Israel, I am their possession.

29 Das Speisopfer und das Sündopfer und das Schuldopfer, die sollen sie essen; und alles Verbannte [Vergl. 4. Mose 18,14] in Israel soll ihnen gehören.

The meat-offering, and the sin-offering, and the trespass-offering—these shall they eat; and every devoted thing in Israel shall belong to them.

30 Und das Erste aller Erstlinge von allem, und alle Hebopfer [Hier, wie öfters, in dem allgemeinen Sinne von Gaben, Schenkungen] von allem, von allen euren Hebopfern sollen den Priestern gehören; und die Erstlinge eures Schrotmehls sollt ihr dem Priester geben, damit Segen auf deinem Hause ruhe.

And the first of all kinds of first-fruits of all, and every kind of heave-offering of every thing of all your heave-offerings, shall belong to the priests; and the first of your dough shall you give to the priest, to cause a blessing to rest on thy house.

31 Kein Aas noch Zerrissenes vom Gevögel und vom Vieh sollen die Priester essen.

Any thing that hath died of itself, or that is torn, whether it be fowl or beast, shall the priests not eat.
