5 Mose 15
1 Am Ende von sieben Jahren sollst du einen Erlaß halten. Und dies ist die Sache mit dem Erlasse:
“In the seventh year, you shall perform a remission,
2 Jeder Schuldherr soll erlassen das Darlehn seiner Hand, das er seinem Nächsten geliehen hat; er soll seinen Nächsten und seinen Bruder nicht drängen; denn man hat einen Erlaß dem Jehova ausgerufen.
which shall be celebrated according to this order. Anyone to whom anything is owed, by his friend or neighbor or brother, will not be able to request its return, because it is the year of remission of the Lord.
3 Den Fremden magst du drängen; was du aber bei deinem Bruder hast, soll deine Hand erlassen;
From the sojourner and the new arrival, you may require its return. From your fellow countryman and neighbor, you will not have the power to request its return.
4 es sei denn, daß kein Armer unter dir ist. Denn [O. erlassen. Jedoch wird kein Armer unter dir sein; denn usw.] Jehova wird dich reichlich segnen in dem Lande, welches Jehova, dein Gott, dir als Erbteil gibt, es zu besitzen,
And there shall not be anyone indigent or begging among you, so that the Lord your God may bless you in the land which he will deliver to you as a possession.
5 wenn du nur der Stimme Jehovas, deines Gottes, fleißig gehorchst, darauf zu achten, dieses ganze Gebot zu tun, das ich dir heute gebiete.
But only if you heed the voice of the Lord your God, and keep to all that he has ordered, that which I am entrusting to you this day, will he bless you, just as he has promised.
6 Denn Jehova, dein Gott, wird dich segnen, [Eig. hat dich gesegnet] wie er zu dir geredet hat; und du wirst vielen Nationen auf Pfand leihen, du aber wirst nichts auf Pfand entlehnen; und du wirst über viele Nationen herrschen, über dich aber werden sie nicht herrschen.
You shall lend money to many nations, and you yourselves shall borrow in return from no one. You shall rule over very many nations, and no one shall rule over you.
7 Wenn ein Armer unter dir sein wird, irgend einer deiner Brüder, in einem deiner Tore in deinem Lande, das Jehova, dein Gott, dir gibt, so sollst du dein Herz nicht verhärten und deine Hand vor deinem Bruder, dem Armen, nicht verschließen;
If one of your brothers, who dwells within the gates of your city, in the land which the Lord your God will give to you, falls into poverty, you shall not harden your heart, nor tighten your hand.
8 sondern du sollst ihm deine Hand weit auftun und ihm willig auf Pfand leihen, was hinreicht für den Mangel, den er hat.
Instead, you shall open your hand to the poor, and you shall lend to him whatever you perceive him to need.
9 Hüte dich, daß nicht in deinem Herzen ein Belialswort sei, daß du sprechest: Es naht das siebte Jahr, das Erlaßjahr! und daß dein Auge böse sei gegen deinen Bruder, den Armen, und du ihm nichts gebest, und er über dich [O. wider dich] zu Jehova schreie, und Sünde an dir sei!
Take care, lest perhaps an impious thought might creep within you, and you might say in your heart: ‘The seventh year of remission approaches.’ And so you might turn your eyes away from your poor brother, unwilling to lend to him what he has asked. If so, then he may cry out against you to the Lord, and it will be a sin for you.
10 Willig sollst du ihm geben, und dein Herz soll nicht ärgerlich sein, wenn du ihm gibst; denn um dieser Sache willen wird Jehova, dein Gott, dich segnen in all deinem Werke und in allem Geschäft deiner Hand.
Instead, you shall give to him. Neither shall you do anything craftily while assisting him in his needs, so that the Lord your God may bless you, at all times and in all things to which you will put your hand.
11 Denn der Arme wird nicht aufhören inmitten des Landes; darum gebiete ich dir und spreche: Du sollst deinem Bruder, deinem Dürftigen und deinem Armen in deinem Lande, deine Hand weit auftun.
The poor will not be absent from the land of your habitation. For this reason, I instruct you to open your hand to your indigent and poor brother, who lives among you in the land.
12 Wenn dein Bruder, ein Hebräer oder eine Hebräerin, sich dir verkauft, [O. dir verkauft wird; vergl. 2. Mose 21,2 usw.; 3. Mose 25,39] so soll er dir sechs Jahre dienen; und im siebten Jahre sollst du ihn frei von dir entlassen.
When your brother, a Hebrew man or a Hebrew woman, has been sold to you, and has served you for six years, in the seventh year you shall set him free.
13 Und wenn du ihn frei von dir entlässest, so sollst du ihn nicht leer entlassen:
And when you grant his freedom, you shall by no means permit him to go away empty.
14 du sollst ihm reichlich aufladen von deinem Kleinvieh und von deiner Tenne und von deiner Kelter; von dem, womit Jehova, dein Gott, dich gesegnet hat, sollst du ihm geben.
Instead, you shall give to him, for his journey, from your flocks and threshing floor and winepress, with which the Lord your God has blessed you.
15 Und du sollst gedenken, daß du ein Knecht gewesen bist im Lande Ägypten, und daß Jehova, dein Gott, dich erlöst hat; darum gebiete ich dir heute diese Sache.
Remember that you yourself also served in the land of Egypt, and the Lord your God set you free. And therefore, I now command this of you.
16 Und es soll geschehen, wenn er zu dir spricht: Ich will nicht von dir weggehen, weil er dich und dein Haus liebt, weil ihm wohl bei dir ist-
But if he will say, ‘I am not willing to depart,’ because he loves you and your household, and because he feels that it would be good for him to stay with you,
17 so sollst du eine Pfrieme nehmen und sie durch sein Ohr in die Tür stechen, und er wird dein Knecht sein für immer; und auch deiner Magd sollst du also tun.
then you shall take an awl and pierce his ear, at the door of your house. And he shall serve you even forever. You shall also act similarly toward your woman servant.
18 Es soll nicht schwer sein in deinen Augen, wenn du ihn frei von dir entlässest; denn das Doppelte des Lohnes eines Tagelöhners hat er dir sechs Jahre lang gedient; und Jehova, dein Gott, wird dich segnen in allem, was du tust.
You should not avert your eyes from them when you set them free, because he has served you for six years, in a manner deserving of the pay of a hired hand. So may the Lord your God bless you in all the works that you do.
19 Alles männliche Erstgeborene, das unter deinen Rindern unter deinem Kleinvieh geboren wird, sollst du Jehova, deinem Gott, heiligen. Du sollst mit dem Erstgeborenen deines Rindes nicht arbeiten, und du sollst das Erstgeborene deines Kleinviehes nicht scheren:
Of the firstborn, those born from your herds and sheep, you shall sanctify to the Lord your God whatever is of the male sex. You shall not put the firstborn of the oxen to work, nor shall you shear the firstborn of the sheep.
20 vor Jehova, deinem Gott, sollst du es essen, Jahr für Jahr, du und dein Haus, an dem Orte, den Jehova erwählen wird.
In the sight of the Lord your God, you shall eat these, each year, in the place which the Lord will choose, you and your household.
21 Wenn aber ein Gebrechen an ihm ist, daß es lahm oder blind ist, irgend ein schlimmes Gebrechen, so sollst du es Jehova, deinem Gott, nicht opfern.
But if it has a blemish, or is lame, or is blind, or if it is in any part deformed or debilitated, it shall not be immolated to the Lord your God.
22 In deinen Toren magst du es essen, der Unreine und der Reine gleicherweise, wie die Gazelle und wie den Hirsch.
Instead, you shall eat it within the gates of your city. The clean as well as the unclean alike shall feed on these, such as the roe deer and the stag.
23 Nur sein Blut sollst du nicht essen; du sollst es auf die Erde gießen wie Wasser.
This alone shall you observe: that you do not eat their blood, but pour it upon the ground like water.”
