5 Mose 14

1 Ihr seid Kinder Jehovas, eures Gottes; ihr sollt euch nicht wegen eines Toten Einschnitte machen [Eig. euch nicht ritzen] und euch nicht kahl scheren zwischen euren Augen.

Ye are the children of the LORD your God: ye shall not cut yourselves, nor make any baldness between your eyes for the dead.

2 Denn ein heiliges Volk bist du Jehova, deinem Gott; und dich hat Jehova erwählt, ihm ein Eigentumsvolk zu sein, aus allen Völkern, die auf dem Erdboden sind.

For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God, and the LORD hath chosen thee to be a peculiar people unto himself, above all peoples that are upon the face of the earth.

3 Du sollst keinen Greuel essen.

Thou shalt not eat any abominable thing.

4 Dies sind die Tiere, die ihr essen sollt:

These are the beasts which ye shall eat: the ox, the sheep, and the goat,

5 Rind, Schaf und Ziege, Hirsch und Gazelle und Damhirsch und Steinbock und Antilope und Bergziege und Wildschaf.

the hart, and the gazelle, and the roebuck, and the wild goat, and the pygarg, and the antelope, and the chamois.

6 Und jedes Tier, das gespaltene Hufe hat, und zwar ganz durchgespaltene Hufe, und das wiederkäut unter den Tieren, das sollt ihr essen.

And every beast that parteth the hoof, and hath the hoof cloven in two, [and] cheweth the cud, among the beasts, that ye shall eat.

7 Nur diese sollt ihr nicht essen von den wiederkäuenden und von denen, die mit gespaltenen Hufen versehen sind: das Kamel und den Hasen und den Klippendachs; denn sie wiederkäuen, aber sie haben keine gespaltene Hufe: unrein sollen sie euch sein;

Nevertheless these ye shall not eat of them that chew the cud, or of them that have the hoof cloven: the camel, and the hare, and the coney, because they chew the cud but part not the hoof, they are unclean unto you:

8 und das Schwein, denn es hat gespaltene Hufe, aber es wiederkäut nicht: unrein soll es euch sein. Von ihrem Fleische sollt ihr nicht essen, und ihr Aas sollt ihr nicht anrühren.

and the swine, because he parteth the hoof but cheweth not the cud, he is unclean unto you: of their flesh ye shall not eat, and their carcases ye shall not touch.

9 Dieses sollt ihr essen von allem, was in den Wassern ist: alles, was Floßfedern und Schuppen hat, sollt ihr essen;

These ye shall eat of all that are in the waters: whatsoever hath fins and scales shall ye eat:

10 aber alles, was keine Floßfedern und Schuppen hat, sollt ihr nicht essen: unrein soll es euch sein.

and whatsoever hath not fins and scales ye shall not eat; it is unclean unto you.

11 Alle reinen Vögel sollt ihr essen.

Of all clean birds ye may eat.

12 Aber diese sind es, die ihr von ihnen nicht essen sollt: der Adler und der Beinbrecher und der Seeadler,

But these are they of which ye shall not eat: the eagle, and the gier eagle, and the ospray;

13 und der Falke und die Weihe, und der Geier nach seiner Art,

and the glede, and the falcon, and the kite after its kind;

14 und alle Raben nach ihrer Art,

and every raven after its kind;

15 und die Straußhenne und der Straußhahn und die Seemöve, und der Habicht nach seiner Art,

and the ostrich, and the night hawk, and the seamew, and the hawk after its kind;

16 die Eule und die Rohrdommel und das Purpurhuhn,

the little owl, and the great owl, and the horned owl;

17 und der Pelikan und der Aasgeier und der Sturzpelikan,

and the pelican, and the vulture, and the cormorant;

18 und der Storch, und der Fischreiher nach seiner Art, und der Wiedehopf und die Fledermaus.

and the stork, and the heron after its kind, and the hoopoe, and the bat.

19 Und alles geflügelte Gewürm [Eig. Gewimmel] soll euch unrein sein; es soll nicht gegessen werden.

And all winged creeping things are unclean unto you: they shall not be eaten.

20 Alles reine Gevögel sollt ihr essen.

Of all clean fowls ye may eat.

21 Ihr sollt kein Aas essen; dem Fremdling, der in deinen Toren ist, magst du es geben, daß er es esse, oder verkaufe es einem Fremden; denn ein heiliges Volk bist du Jehova, deinem Gott. -Du sollst ein Böcklein nicht kochen in der Milch seiner Mutter.

Ye shall not eat of any thing that dieth of itself: thou mayest give it unto the stranger that is within thy gates, that he may eat it; or thou mayest sell it unto a foreigner: for thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God. Thou shalt not seethe a kid in its mother’s milk.

22 Du sollst treulich verzehnten allen Ertrag deiner Saat, die [O. was] aus dem Felde erwächst, Jahr für Jahr.

Thou shalt surely tithe all the increase of thy seed, that which cometh forth of the field year by year.

23 Und du sollst essen vor Jehova, deinem Gott, an dem Orte, den er erwählen wird, um seinen Namen daselbst wohnen zu lassen, den Zehnten deines Getreides, deines Mostes und deines Öles, und die Erstgeborenen deines Rind- und deines Kleinviehes, auf daß du Jehova, deinen Gott, fürchten lernest alle Tage.

And thou shalt eat before the LORD thy God, in the place which he shall choose to cause his name to dwell there, the tithe of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the firstlings of thy herd and of thy flock; that thou mayest learn to fear the LORD thy God always.

24 Und wenn der Weg zu weit für dich ist, daß du es nicht hinbringen kannst, weil der Ort fern von dir ist, den Jehova, dein Gott, erwählen wird, um seinen Namen dahin zu setzen, wenn Jehova, dein Gott, dich segnet:

And if the way be too long for thee, so that thou art not able to carry it, because the place is too far from thee, which the LORD thy God shall choose to set his name there, when the LORD thy God shall bless thee:

25 so sollst du es um Geld geben; und binde das Geld in deine Hand zusammen, und gehe an den Ort, den Jehova, dein Gott, erwählen wird.

then shalt thou turn it into money, and bind up the money in thine hand, and shalt go unto the place which the LORD thy God shall choose:

26 Und gib das Geld für alles, was deine Seele begehrt, für Rinder und für Kleinvieh und für Wein und für starkes Getränk, und für alles, was deine Seele wünscht; und iß daselbst vor Jehova, deinem Gott, und freue dich, du und dein Haus.

and thou shalt bestow the money for whatsoever thy soul desireth, for oxen, or for sheep, or for wine, or for strong drink, or for whatsoever thy soul asketh of thee: and thou shalt eat there before the LORD thy God, and thou shalt rejoice, thou and thine household:

27 Und den Leviten, der in deinen Toren ist, den sollst du nicht verlassen; denn er hat kein Teil noch Erbe mit dir.

and the Levite that is within thy gates, thou shalt not forsake him; for he hath no portion nor inheritance with thee.

28 Am Ende von drei Jahren sollst du allen Zehnten deines Ertrages in jenem Jahre aussondern und ihn in deinen Toren niederlegen;

At the end of every three years thou shalt bring forth all the tithe of thine increase in the same year, and shalt lay it up within thy gates:

29 und der Levit-denn er hat kein Teil noch Erbe mit dir-und der Fremdling und die Waise und die Witwe, die in deinen Toren sind, sollen kommen und essen und sich sättigen; auf daß Jehova, dein Gott, dich segne in allem Werke deiner Hand, das du tust.

and the Levite, because he hath no portion nor inheritance with thee, and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, which are within thy gates, shall come, and shall eat and be satisfied; that the LORD thy God may bless thee in all the work of thine hand which thou doest.
