Daniel 12
1 Und in jener Zeit wird Michael aufstehen, der große Fürst, der für die Kinder deines Volkes steht; und es wird eine Zeit der Drangsal sein, dergleichen nicht gewesen ist, seitdem eine Nation besteht bis zu jener Zeit. Und in jener Zeit wird dein Volk errettet werden, ein jeder, der im Buche geschrieben gefunden wird.
And, at that time, will Michael, the great ruler who standeth for the sons of thy people, make a stand, and there will be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation, up to that time, —and, at that time, shall thy people, be delivered, every one found written in the book;
2 Und viele von denen, die im Staube der Erde schlafen, werden erwachen: diese zu ewigem Leben, und jene zur Schande [Eig. zu Schanden, d. h. zur Fülle von Schande, ] zu ewigem Abscheu.
and, many of the sleepers in the dusty ground, shall awake, —these, [shall be] to age-abiding life, but, those, to reproach, and age-abiding abhorrence;
3 Und die Verständigen werden leuchten wie der Glanz der Himmelsfeste, und die, welche die Vielen zur Gerechtigkeit weisen, wie die Sterne, immer und ewiglich.
and, they who make wise, shall shine like the shining of the expanse, —and, they who bring the many to righteousness, like the stars to times age-abiding and beyond.
4 Und du, Daniel, verschließe [O. verwahre] die Worte und versiegele das Buch bis zur Zeit des Endes. Viele werden es durchforschen, und die Erkenntnis wird sich mehren.
But, thou, Daniel, close up the words, and seal the book, until the time of the end, —many will run to and fro, and knowledge, shall abound.
5 Und ich, Daniel, sah: und siehe, zwei andere standen da, einer hier am Ufer des Stromes, und einer dort am Ufer des Stromes.
Then, I, Daniel, looked, and lo! two others, standing, —one on this side of the bank of the river, and one on that side of the bank of the river.
6 Und einer sprach zu dem in Linnen gekleideten Mann, welcher oben über dem Wasser des Stromes war [Vergl. Kap. 10,4. 5.]: Wie lange wird dauern das Ende [d. h. der Zeitabschnitt des Endes] dieser wunderbaren Dinge?
And one said to the man clothed with linen, who was upon the waters of the river, How long shall be the end of the wonders?
7 Und ich hörte den in Linnen gekleideten Mann, welcher oben über dem Wasser des Stromes war, und er erhob seine Rechte und seine Linke zum Himmel und schwur bei dem, der ewig lebt: Eine Zeit, Zeiten [Eig. Bis auf eine bestimmte Zeit, bestimmte Zeiten] und eine halbe Zeit; und wenn die Zerschmetterung der Kraft des heiligen Volkes vollbracht sein wird, dann werden alle diese Dinge vollendet sein.
And I heard the man clothed with linen who was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left unto the heavens, and sware by him that liveth unto times age-abiding, —For a set time and times and a half, and, when the dispersion of a part of the holy people, is brought to an end, then shall come to an end all these things.
8 Und ich hörte es, aber ich verstand es nicht; und ich sprach: Mein Herr, was wird der Ausgang von diesem sein?
And, I, heard, but could not understand, —so I said, O my lord! what shall be the issue of these things?
9 Und er sprach: Gehe hin, Daniel; denn die Worte sollen verschlossen und versiegelt sein bis zur Zeit des Endes.
Then said he, Go thy way, Daniel; for closed up and sealed are the words, until the time of the end.
10 Viele werden sich reinigen und weiß machen und läutern, aber die Gottlosen werden gottlos handeln; und keine der Gottlosen werden es verstehen, die Verständigen aber werden es verstehen.
Many, will purify themselves and be made white and be refined, but the lawless, will act lawlessly, and none of the lawless, shall understand, —but, they who make wise, shall understand;
11 Und von der Zeit an, da das beständige Opfer abgeschafft wird, und zwar um den verwüstenden Greuel aufzustellen, sind 1290 Tage.
and, from the time of the taking away of the continual [ascending-sacrifice], and the placing of the horrid abomination that astoundeth, [shall be] one thousand two hundred and ninety days.
12 Glückselig der, welcher harrt und 1335 Tage erreicht!
Happy! is he that waiteth, and attaineth to one thousand three hundred and thirty-five days.
13 Du aber gehe hin bis zum Ende; und du wirst ruhen, und wirst auferstehen zu deinem Lose am Ende der Tage.
But, thou, go thy way to the end, —and thou shalt rest, and shalt rise to thy lot at the end of the days.
