2 Chronik 8
1 Und [1. Kön. 9,10] es geschah am Ende von zwanzig Jahren, während welcher Salomo das Haus Jehovas und sein Haus gebaut hatte,
Forsothe whanne twenti yeer weren fillid, aftir that Salomon bildide the hows of the Lord,
2 da baute Salomo die Städte aus, welche Huram dem Salomo gegeben hatte; und er ließ die Kinder Israel daselbst wohnen.
and his owne hows, he bildide the citees, whiche Iram hadde youe to Salomon; and he made the sones of Israel to dwelle there.
3 Und Salomo zog nach Hamath-Zoba und überwältigte es.
Also he yede in to Emath of Suba, and gat it.
4 Und er baute Tadmor in der Wüste und alle Vorratsstädte, die er in Hamath baute.
And he bildide Palmyram in deseert, and he bildide othere `citees maad ful stronge in Emath.
5 Und er baute Ober-Beth-Horon und Unter-Beth-Horon, feste Städte mit Mauern, Toren und Riegeln;
And he bildide the hiyere Betheron and the lowere Betheron, wallid citees, hauynge yatis and lockis and barris;
6 und Baalath und alle Vorratsstädte, die Salomo hatte; und alle Wagenstädte und die Reiterstädte; und alles, was Salomo Lust hatte zu bauen in Jerusalem und auf dem Libanon und im ganzen Lande seiner Herrschaft.
also he bildide Balaath, and alle `citees ful stronge that weren of Salomon; and alle the citees of cartis, and the citees of knyytis kyng Salomon bildide, and disposide alle thingis whiche euere he wolde, in Jerusalem, and in the Liban, and in al the lond of his power.
7 Alles Volk, das übriggeblieben war von den Hethitern und den Amoritern und den Perisitern und den Hewitern und den Jebusitern, die nicht von Israel waren:
Salomon made suget in to tributaries til in to this dai al the puple that was left of Etheis, and Amorreis, and Phereseis, and Eueis, and of Jebuseis, that weren not of the generacioun of Israel, and of the sones of hem,
8 ihre Söhne, [W. von ihren Söhnen] die nach ihnen im Lande übriggeblieben waren, welche die Kinder Israel nicht vertilgt hatten, die hob Salomo zu Fronarbeitern aus bis auf diesen Tag.
and of the aftircomers of hem, whiche the sones of Israel hadden not slayn.
9 Aber aus den Kindern Israel machte Salomo keine Sklaven für seine Arbeit; sondern sie waren Kriegsleute und Oberste seiner Anführer [O. Ritter; wahrsch. ist hier wie 1. Kön. 9,22 zu lesen: Oberste und seine Anführer [Ritter]] und Oberste seiner Wagen und seiner Reiter.
Sotheli of the sones of Israel he settide not, that thei schulden serue the werkis of the kyng; for thei weren men werriours, and the firste duykis, and princes of charis, and of hise knyytis;
10 Und dies sind die Oberaufseher, welche der König Salomo hatte: 250, die über das Volk walteten.

11 Und Salomo führte die Tochter des Pharao aus der Stadt Davids herauf in das Haus, das er ihr gebaut hatte; denn er sprach: Mein Weib soll nicht in dem Hause Davids, des Königs von Israel, wohnen; denn die Orte sind [W. denn sie sind] heilig, in welche die Lade Jehovas gekommen ist.

12 Damals opferte Salomo dem Jehova Brandopfer auf dem Altar Jehovas, den er vor der Halle gebaut hatte,

13 und zwar nach der täglichen Gebühr, indem er nach dem Gebot Moses opferte an den Sabbathen und an den Neumonden, und an den Festen dreimal im Jahre: am Feste der ungesäuerten Brote und am Feste der Wochen und am Feste der Laubhütten.
that bi alle daies me schulde offre in it, bi the comaundement of Moises, in sabatis, and in kalendis, and in feeste daies, thries bi the yeer, that is, in the solempnyte of the therflooues, and in the solempnyte of woukis, and in the solempnyte of tabernaclis.
14 Und er bestellte nach der Vorschrift seines Vaters David die Abteilungen der Priester zu ihrem Dienste; und die Leviten zu ihren Ämtern, um zu loben und zu dienen vor den Priestern, nach der täglichen Gebühr; und die Torhüter in ihren Abteilungen für jedes Tor; denn also war das Gebot Davids, des Mannes Gottes.
And he ordeynede bi the ordynaunce of Dauid, his fadir, the officis of preestis in her seruyces, and the dekenes in her ordre, that thei schulden preise and mynystre bifor preestis bi the custom of ech dai; and he ordeynede porteris in her departyngis bi yate and yate. For Dauid, the man of God, hadde comaundid so;
15 Und man wich nicht von dem Gebot des Königs an [O. über] die Priester und die Leviten ab betreffs jeder Sache und betreffs der Schätze. -
and bothe preestis and dekenes passiden not fro the comaundementis of the kyng of alle thingis whiche he hadde comaundid.
16 Und so wurde das ganze Werk Salomos zustande gebracht, [W. festgestellt, bereit gemacht] bis zum Tage der Gründung des Hauses Jehovas und bis zur Vollendung desselben. Das Haus Jehovas war fertig.
And Salomon hadde alle costis maad redi in the kepingis of tresouris, fro that dai in whiche he foundide the hows of the Lord til in to the dai in which he perfourmyde it.
17 Damals [1. Kön. 9,26] ging Salomo nach Ezjon-Geber und nach Eloth, am Ufer des Meeres im Lande Edom.

18 Und Huram sandte ihm durch seine Knechte Schiffe und Knechte, die des Meeres kundig waren. Und sie kamen mit den Knechten Salomos nach Ophir und holten von dort 450 Talente Gold und brachten es zu dem König Salomo.
Therfor Iram sente to hym, by the hondis of his seruauntis, schippis, and schippe men kynnyng of the see, and thei yeden with the seruauntis of Salomon in to Ophir, and thei token fro thennus foure hundrid and fifti talentis of gold, and brouyten to kyng Salomon.
