2 Chronik 3
1 Und [1. Kön. 6] Salomo fing an, das Haus Jehovas zu bauen in Jerusalem, auf dem Berge Morija, wo er seinem Vater David erschienen war, [Vergl. 2. Sam. 24,15] an dem Orte, den David bereitet hatte, auf der Tenne Ornans, des Jebusiters.
And Solomon began to build the house of the Lord in Jerusalem on mount Moriah, where He had appeared unto David his father, on the place that David had prepared in the threshing-floor of Ornan the Jebusite.
2 Und er fing an zu bauen im zweiten Monat, am zweiten [Viell. sind die Worte "am zweiten" eingeschoben] Tage, im vierten Jahre seiner Regierung.
And he began to build on the second day of the second month, in the fourth year of his reign.
3 Und dies war die Grundlage, welche Salomo zum Bau des Hauses Gottes legte: die Länge, nach dem früheren [d. h. dem mosaischen] Ellenmaß, sechzig Ellen, und die Breite zwanzig Ellen. -
Now in this manner was the foundation laid of the house of God [at its] building [by] Solomon: The length by cubits after the first measure was sixty cubits, and the breadth twenty cubits.
4 Und die Halle, welche der Länge nach vor der Breite des Hauses war, zwanzig Ellen, und die Höhe120; [Der hebr. Text ist unklar und sehr wahrsch. fehlerhaft] und er überzog sie inwendig mit reinem Golde.
And the porch that was in the front of the length was according to the breadth of the house, twenty cubits, and the height was a hundred and twenty: and he overlaid it within with pure gold.
5 Und das große Haus [d. i. das Heilige] bekleidete er mit Cypressenholz, und bekleidete es mit gutem Golde; und er brachte Palmen und Ketten darauf an.
And the great house he ceiled with fir-wood, which he overlaid with pure gold, and he wrought thereon palm-trees and chains.
6 Und er überzog das Haus mit kostbaren Steinen zum Schmuck; das Gold aber war Gold von Parwaim.
And he overlaid the house with costly stones for ornament: and the gold was gold of Parvayim.
7 Und er bekleidete das Haus, die Balken der Decke, die Schwellen und seine Wände und seine Türflügel mit Gold; und er schnitzte Cherubim ein an den Wänden.
And he covered the house, the beams, the sills, and its walls, and its doors, with gold: and he engraved cherubim on the walls.
8 Und er machte das Haus des Allerheiligsten. Seine Länge, vor der Breite des Hauses her, war zwanzig Ellen, und seine Breite zwanzig Ellen; und er bekleidete es mit gutem Golde, an sechshundert Talente.
And he made the most holy house, its length being in front of the breadth of the house, twenty cubits, and its breadth twenty cubits: and he covered it with fine gold, [amounting] to six hundred talents.
9 Und das Gewicht der Nägel war an fünfzig Sekel Gold. Auch die Obergemächer bekleidete er mit Gold.
And the weight of the nails [amounted] to fifty shekels of gold. And the upper chambers he covered with gold.
10 Und er machte im Hause des Allerheiligsten zwei Cherubim, ein Werk von Bildhauerarbeit; und man überzog sie mit Gold.
And he made in the most holy house two cherubim of sculpture work, and they overlaid them with gold.
11 Und die Flügel der Cherubim, -ihre Länge war zwanzig Ellen: der Flügel des einen, von fünf Ellen, rührte an die Wand des Hauses; und der andere Flügel, von fünf Ellen, rührte an den Flügel des anderen Cherubs;
And regarding the wings of the cherubim their length was twenty cubits; the wing of the one amounting to five cubits, reaching to the wall of the house: and the other wing of five cubits, reaching to the wing of the other cherub.
12 und der Flügel des anderen Cherubs, von fünf Ellen, rührte an die Wand des Hauses; und der andere Flügel, von fünf Ellen, stieß an den Flügel des einen Cherubs.
And the wing of the other cherub was five cubits, reaching to the wall of the house; and the other wing of five cubits was joined closely to the wing of the other cherub.
13 Die Flügel dieser Cherubim maßen ausgebreitet zwanzig Ellen; und sie selbst standen auf ihren Füßen, und ihre Angesichter waren dem Hause zugewandt.
The wings of these cherubim [as they were] spread out were twenty cubits: and they were standing on their feet, and their faces were inward.
14 Und er machte den Vorhang von blauem und rotem Purpur und Karmesin und Byssus, und brachte Cherubim darauf an.
And he made the vail of blue, and purple, and crimson, and fine linen, and wrought thereon cherubim.
15 Und [1. Kön. 7,15] er machte vor dem Hause zwei Säulen, 35 Ellen die Länge; und das Kapitäl, das auf ihrer Spitze war, maß fünf Ellen.
And he made before the house two pillars of thirty and five cubits in length, and the capital that was on the top of each of them was five cubits.
16 Und er machte Ketten im Sprachorte [Wahrsch. ein Textfehler. Viell. ist zu l.: Ketten an dem Netzwerk; vergl. Kap. 4,13] und tat sie an die Spitze der Säulen; und er machte hundert Granatäpfel und tat sie an die Ketten.
And he made chains in the debir; and [others which] he placed on the top of the pillars; and he made a hundred pomegranates, and placed them on the chains.
17 Und er richtete die Säulen vor dem Tempel auf, eine zur Rechten und eine zur Linken; und er gab der rechten den Namen Jakin, [Er wird feststellen, befestigen] und der linken den Namen Boas. [In ihm ist Stärke]
And he set up the pillars in front of the temple, one on the right hand, and the other on the left; and he called the name of that on the right hand Jachin, and the name of that on the left Bo'az.
