1 Chronik 17
1 Und [2. Sam. 7] es geschah, als David in seinem Hause wohnte, da sprach David zu Nathan, dem Propheten: Siehe, ich wohne in einem Hause von Cedern, und die Lade des Bundes Jehovas wohnt unter Teppichen.
Nowe afterward when Dauid dwelt in his house, he saide to Nathan the Prophet, Beholde, I dwell in an house of cedar trees, but the Arke of the Lordes couenant remaineth vnder curtaines.
2 Und Nathan sprach zu David: Tue alles, was du im Herzen hast, denn Gott ist mit dir.
Then Nathan said to Dauid, Do all that is in thine heart: for God is with thee.
3 Und es geschah in selbiger Nacht, da geschah das Wort Gottes zu Nathan also:
And the same night euen the word of God came to Nathan, saying,
4 Gehe hin und sprich zu David, meinem Knechte: So spricht Jehova: Nicht du sollst mir das Haus zur Wohnung bauen;
Goe, and tell Dauid my seruant, Thus saith the Lord, Thou shalt not buylde me an house to dwell in:
5 denn ich habe nicht in einem Hause gewohnt von dem Tage an, da ich Israel heraufgeführt habe, bis auf diesen Tag; sondern ich wanderte [W. ich war] von Zelt zu Zelt und von Wohnung [Dasselbe Wort wie 2. Mose 26,7 usw.] zu Wohnung.
For I haue dwelt in no house, since the day that I brought out the childre of Israel vnto this daye, but I haue bene from tent to tent, and from habitation to habitation.
6 Wo immer ich wanderte unter ganz Israel, habe ich zu einem der Richter Israels, dem ich gebot, mein Volk zu weiden, ein Wort geredet und gesagt: Warum habt ihr mir nicht ein Haus von Cedern gebaut?
Wheresoeuer I haue walked with all Israel spake I one word to any of the iudges of Israel (whome I commanded to feede my people) saying, Why haue ye not built mee an house of cedar trees?
7 Und nun sollst du also zu meinem Knechte David sagen: So spricht Jehova der Heerscharen: Ich habe dich von der Trift genommen, hinter dem Kleinvieh weg, daß du Fürst sein solltest über mein Volk Israel;
Nowe therefore thus shalt thou say vnto my seruant Dauid, Thus saith the Lord of hostes, I tooke thee from the sheepecoat and from following the sheepe, that thou shouldest bee a prince ouer my people Israel.
8 und ich bin mit dir gewesen überall, wohin du gegangen bist, und habe alle deine Feinde vor dir ausgerottet; und ich habe dir einen Namen gemacht, [O. ausgerottet; und ich werde dir einen Namen machen] gleich dem Namen der Großen, die auf Erden sind.
And I haue bene with thee whithersoeuer thou hast walked, and haue destroyed all thine enemies out of thy sight, and haue made thee a name, like the name of the great men that are in the earth.
9 Und ich werde einen Ort setzen für mein Volk Israel und werde es pflanzen, daß es an seiner Stätte wohne und nicht mehr beunruhigt werde; und die Söhne der Ungerechtigkeit sollen es nicht mehr aufreiben, wie früher
(Also I will appoynt a place for my people Israel, and will plant it, that they may dwell in their place, and moue no more: neither shall the wicked people vexe them any more, as at the beginning,
10 und seit den Tagen, da ich Richter über mein Volk Israel bestellt habe. Und ich werde alle deine Feinde demütigen; und ich tue dir kund, daß Jehova dir ein Haus bauen wird.
And since the time that I commanded iudges ouer my people Israel) And I wil subdue all thine enemies: therefore I say vnto thee, that the Lord wil buylde thee an house.
11 Und es wird geschehen, wenn deine Tage voll sind, daß du zu deinen Vätern hingehst, so werde ich deinen Samen nach dir erwecken, [Eig. aufstehen lassen; so auch 2. Sam. 7,12] der von deinen Söhnen sein wird, und werde sein Königtum befestigen.
And when thy dayes shalbe fulfilled to go with thy fathers, then will I rayse vp thy seede after thee, which shalbe of thy sonnes, and will stablish his kingdome.
12 Der wird mir ein Haus bauen; und ich werde seinen Thron befestigen auf ewig.
He shall builde me an house, and I will stablish his throne for euer.
13 Ich will ihm Vater sein, und er soll mir Sohn sein; und ich will meine Güte nicht von ihm weichen lassen, wie ich sie von dem weichen ließ, der vor dir war.
I wil be his father, and he shalbe my sonne, aud I will not take my mercie away from him, as I tooke it from him that was before thee.
14 Und ich will ihm Bestand geben in meinem Hause und in meinem Königreich auf ewig; und sein Thron soll fest sein auf ewig.
But I wil establish him in mine house, and in my kingdome for euer, and his throne shalbe stablished for euer,
15 Nach allen diesen Worten und nach diesem ganzen Gesicht, also redete Nathan zu David.
According to all these wordes, and according to al this vision. So Nathan spake to Dauid.
16 Da ging der König David hinein und setzte sich vor Jehova nieder und sprach: Wer bin ich, Jehova Gott, und was ist mein Haus, daß du mich bis hierher gebracht hast?
And Dauid the King went in and sate before the Lord and said, Who am I, O Lord God, and what is mine house, that thou hast brought me hitherto?
17 Und dies ist noch ein Geringes gewesen in deinen Augen, o Gott! und du hast auch von dem Hause deines Knechtes geredet in die Ferne hin; und du hast mich angesehen nach der Weise eines hochgestellten Menschen, Jehova Gott!
Yet thou esteeming this a small thing, O God, hast also spoken concerning the house of thy seruaut for a great while, and hast regarded me according to the estate of a man of hie degree, O Lord God.
18 Was soll David noch weiter zu dir reden von der Ehre an deinem Knechte? Du kennst ja deinen Knecht.
What can Dauid desire more of thee for the honour of thy seruant? for thou knowest thy seruant.
19 Jehova, um deines Knechtes willen und nach deinem Herzen hast du all dieses Große getan, um alle diese großen Dinge kundzutun.
O Lord, for thy seruantes sake, euen according to thine heart hast thou done all this great thing to declare all magnificence.
20 Jehova, niemand ist dir gleich, und kein Gott außer dir, nach allem, was wir mit unseren Ohren gehört haben.
Lord, there is none like thee, neither is there any God besides thee, according to all that we haue heard with our eares.
21 Und wer ist wie dein Volk Israel, die einzige Nation auf Erden, welche [O. und welche Nation gibt es irgend auf Erden wie dein Volk Israel, welches usw.] Gott hingegangen ist, sich zum Volke zu erlösen, um dir einen Namen zu machen, große und furchtbare Dinge zu tun, indem du vor deinem Volke, das du aus Ägypten erlöst hast, Nationen vertriebst?
Moreouer what one nation in the earth is like thy people Israel, whose God went to redeeme them to be his people, and to make thy selfe a Name, and to doe great and terrible things by casting out nations from before thy people, whom thou hast deliuered out of Egypt?
22 Und du hast dir dein Volk Israel zum Volke bestimmt auf ewig; und du, Jehova, bist ihr Gott [Eig. ihnen zum Gott] geworden.
For thou hast ordeined thy people Israel to be thine owne people for euer, and thou Lord art become their God.
23 Und nun, Jehova, das Wort, das du über deinen Knecht und über sein Haus geredet hast, möge sich bewähren ewiglich; und tue, wie du geredet hast!
Therefore nowe Lord, let the thing that thou hast spoken concerning thy seruant and concerning his house, be confirmed for euer, and doe as thou hast sayd,
24 Ja, es möge sich bewähren! und dein Name sei groß [O. werde erhoben] auf ewig, daß man spreche: Jehova der Heerscharen, der Gott Israels, ist Gott für Israel! Und das Haus deines Knechtes David sei fest vor dir.
And let thy name be stable and magnified for euer, that it may be sayd, The Lord of hostes, God of Israel, is the God of Israel, and let the house of Dauid thy seruant bee stablished before thee.
25 Denn du, mein Gott, hast dem Ohre deines Knechtes eröffnet, daß du ihm ein Haus bauen willst; darum hat dein Knecht sich ein Herz gefaßt, vor dir zu beten.
For thou, O my God, hast reueiled vnto the eare of thy seruant, that thou wilt builde him an house: therefore thy seruant hath bene bolde to pray before thee.
26 Und nun, Jehova, du bist es, der da Gott ist [S. die Anm. zu 2. Sam. 7,28,] und du hast dieses Gute zu deinem Knechte geredet.
Therefore nowe Lord (for thou art God, and hast spoken this goodnesse vnto thy seruant)
27 Und nun, es hat dir gefallen, das Haus deines Knechtes zu segnen, daß es ewiglich vor dir sei; denn du, Jehova, hast es gesegnet, und es wird gesegnet sein ewiglich.
Now therfore, it hath pleased thee to blesse the house of thy seruant, that it may bee before thee for euer: for thou, O Lord, hast blessed it, and it shalbe blessed for euer.
