1 Chronik 16
1 Und [2. Sam. 6,17] sie brachten die Lade Gottes hinein, und stellten sie innerhalb des Zeltes, das David für sie aufgeschlagen hatte. Und sie brachten Brandopfer und Friedensopfer dar vor Gott.
And they brought in the ark of God, and set it in the midst of the tent that David had pitched for it; and they offered burnt-offerings and peace-offerings before God.
2 Und als David das Opfern der Brandopfer und der Friedensopfer beendigt hatte, segnete er das Volk im Namen Jehovas;
And when David had made an end of offering the burnt-offerings and the peace-offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the Lord.
3 und er verteilte an ganz Israel, vom Manne bis zum Weibe, an jeden einen Laib Brot und einen Trunk Wein [And.: eine Fleischspende] und einen Rosinenkuchen.
And he dealt out to every one of Israel, both man and woman, to every one a loaf of bread, and a piece of flesh, and a flagon of wine.
4 Und er bestellte vor die Lade Jehovas einige von den Leviten als Diener, daß sie Jehovas, des Gottes Israels, gedächten [d. h. preisend gedächten] und ihn priesen [O. ihm dankten] und rühmten:
And he placed before the ark of the Lord several of the Levites as ministers, and to chaunt hymns, and to give praise and thanks unto the Lord the God of Israel:
5 Asaph, das Haupt, und Sekarja, den zweiten nach ihm, Jeghiel [Wahrsch. zu l.: Jaasiel; vergl. Kap. 15,18] und Schemiramoth und Jeghiel und Mattithja und Eliab und Benaja und Obed-Edom und Jeghiel, mit Harfinstrumenten und mit Lauten; und Asaph, mit Cymbeln laut klingend;
Assaph the chief, and next to him Zechariah; Je'iel, and Shemiramoth, and Jechiel, and Matthithyah, and Eliab, and Benayahu, and 'Obed-edom; and Je'iel with psalteries and with harps; but Assaph played aloud with the cymbals.
6 und Benaja und Jachasiel, die Priester, mit Trompeten, beständig vor der Lade des Bundes Gottes.
And Benayahu and Jachaziel the priests were with the trumpets continually before the ark of the covenant of God.
7 Damals, an jenem Tage, trug David zum ersten Male Asaph und seinen Brüdern auf, Jehova zu preisen:
On that day—then did David appoint for the first time to give thanks to the Lord through means of Assaph and his brethren.
8 Preiset [Vergl. Ps. 105,1-15] Jehova, rufet seinen Namen an, machet kund unter den Völkern seine Taten!
O give thanks unto the Lord; call on his name; make known among the people his deeds.
9 Singet ihm, singet ihm Psalmen; [Eig. singspielet ihm] sinnet über [O. redet von] alle seine Wunderwerke!
Sing unto him, sing praises unto him: speak of all his wonderful works.
10 Rühmet euch seines heiligen Namens! es freue sich das Herz derer, die Jehova suchen!
Glorify yourselves in his holy name: let the heart of those rejoice that seek the Lord.
11 Trachtet nach Jehova und seiner Stärke, suchet sein Angesicht beständig!
Inquire after the Lord and his strength: seek his presence evermore.
12 Gedenket seiner Wunderwerke, die er getan hat, seiner Wunderzeichen und der Gerichte [O. Urteilssprüche; anderswo: Rechte. So auch v 14] seines Mundes!
Remember his wonderful works which he hath done, his tokens, and the decrees of his mouth;
13 Du Same Israels, sein Knecht, ihr Söhne Jakobs, seine Auserwählten!
O ye seed of Israel his servant, ye children of Jacob, his elect.
14 Er, Jehova, ist unser Gott; seine Gerichte sind auf der ganzen Erde.
He is the Lord our God: over all the earth are his decrees.
15 Gedenket ewiglich seines Bundes, des Wortes, das er geboten hat, auf tausend Geschlechter hin,
Remember ye for ever his covenant, the word which he hath commanded to the thousandth generation.
16 den er gemacht hat mit Abraham, und seines Eides, den er Isaak geschworen hat. [W. seines Eides an Isaak]
Which he covenanted with Abraham, and his oath unto Isaac;
17 Und er stellte ihn Jakob zur Satzung, Israel zum ewigen Bunde,
And which he established unto Jacob as a statute, unto Israel as an everlasting covenant;
18 indem er sprach: Dir will ich das Land Kanaan geben als Schnur eures Erbteils;
Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, as the portion of your inheritance;
19 als ihr ein zählbares Häuflein [Eig. eine zählbare Mannschaft] waret, gar wenige und Fremdlinge darin.
When ye were but few men in number; yea, very few, and strangers in it.
20 Und sie wanderten von Nation zu Nation und von einem Reiche zu einem anderen Volke.
And when they wandered from one nation to another, and from one kingdom to another people:
21 Er ließ niemand zu, sie zu bedrücken, und ihretwegen strafte er Könige:
He suffered no man to oppress them; yea, he reproved kings for their sake.
22 "Tastet meine Gesalbten nicht an, und meinen Propheten tut nichts Übles!"
Saying, “Touch not my anointed, and do my prophets no harm.”—
23 Singet [Ps. 96] Jehova, ganze Erde! Verkündet von Tag zu Tag seine Rettung!
Sing unto the Lord all ye lands: announce from day to day his salvation.
24 Erzählet unter den Nationen seine Herrlichkeit, unter allen Völkern seine Wundertaten!
Relate among the nations his glory: among all the people his wonderful deeds.
25 Denn groß ist Jehova und sehr zu loben, und furchtbar ist er über alle Götter.
For great is the Lord, and greatly praised; and he is to be feared above all gods.
26 Denn alle Götter der Völker sind Nichtigkeiten, [O. Götzen] aber Jehova hat die Himmel gemacht.
For all the gods of the people are idols: but the Lord hath made the heavens.
27 Majestät und Pracht sind vor seinem Angesicht, Stärke und Freude in seiner Wohnstätte.
Majesty and honor are in his presence, strength and gladness are in his place.
28 Gebet Jehova, ihr Völkerstämme, gebet Jehova Herrlichkeit und Stärke!
Ascribe unto the Lord, O ye families of people, ascribe unto the Lord glory and strength.
29 Gebet Jehova die Herrlichkeit seines Namens; bringet eine Opfergabe und kommet vor sein Angesicht; betet Jehova an in heiliger Pracht!
Ascribe unto the Lord the glory due unto his name; take up an offering, and come into his presence; bow down before the Lord in the beauty of holiness.
30 Erzittert vor ihm, ganze Erde! Auch steht der Erdkreis fest, er wird nicht wanken.
Tremble before him, all ye lands! Also the world standeth firmly, that it be not moved.
31 Es freue sich der Himmel, und es frohlocke die Erde! und man spreche unter den Nationen: Jehova regiert!
Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; and let men say among the nations, The Lord reigneth.
32 Es brause das Meer und seine Fülle! es frohlocke das Gefilde und alles, was darauf ist!
Let the sea roar, with all that filleth it: let the fields rejoice, and all that is therein.
33 Dann werden jubeln die Bäume des Waldes vor Jehova; denn er kommt, die Erde zu richten!
Then shall the trees of the forest sing joyfully at the presence of the Lord; because he cometh to judge the earth.
34 Preiset [O. Danket] Jehova, denn er ist gütig, denn seine Güte währt ewiglich!
O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good; because unto everlasting endureth his kindness.
35 Und sprechet: Rette uns, Gott unserer Rettung, und sammle und befreie uns aus den Nationen; daß wir deinen heiligen Namen preisen, daß wir uns rühmen deines Lobes!
And say ye, Save us, O God of our salvation, and gather us together, and deliver us from the nations, that we may give thanks to thy holy name, to glorify ourselves in thy praise.
36 Gepriesen sei Jehova, der Gott Israels, von Ewigkeit zu Ewigkeit! Und alles Volk sprach: Amen! und lobte Jehova.
Blessed be the Lord the God of Israel from everlasting even unto everlasting. And all the people said, Amen, and praise unto the Lord.
37 Und David [W. er] ließ daselbst, vor der Lade des Bundes Jehovas, Asaph und seine Brüder, um beständig vor der Lade zu dienen nach der täglichen Gebühr;
And he left there in charge before the ark of the covenant of the Lord Assaph and his brethren, to minister before the ark continually, at the work of every day on its day,
38 und Obed-Edom und seine [W. ihre; viell. ist ein Name ausgefallen] Brüder, 68; und Obed-Edom, den Sohn Jeduthuns, und Hosa, als Torhüter.
And 'Obed-edom with their brethren, sixty and eight, and 'Obed-edom the son of Jeduthun and Chossah to be gatekeepers;
39 Zadok, den Priester aber, und seine Brüder, die Priester, ließ er vor der Wohnung Jehovas, auf der Höhe, die zu Gibeon ist,
And Zadok the priest, and his brethren the priests, before the tabernacle of the Lord, in the high-place that was at Gib'on,
40 um Jehova Brandopfer zu opfern auf dem Brandopferaltar beständig, des Morgens und des Abends, und zwar nach allem, was in dem Gesetz Jehovas geschrieben steht, das er Israel geboten hat;
To offer burnt-offerings unto the Lord upon the altar of the burnt-offering continually at morning and at evening, and this in accordance with all that is written in the law of the Lord which he had commanded concerning Israel;
41 und mit ihnen Heman und Jeduthun und die übrigen Auserlesenen, welche mit Namen angegeben waren, um Jehova zu preisen, [O. zu danken] daß seine Güte ewiglich währt;
And with them Heman and Jeduthun, and the rest that were selected who were expressed by name, to give thanks to the Lord, because unto everlasting endureth his kindness;
42 und mit ihnen, mit Heman und Jeduthun, waren Trompeten und Cymbeln für die, welche laut spielten, und die Musikinstrumente Gottes; und die Söhne Jeduthuns waren für das Tor.
And with them, with Heman and Jeduthun, the trumpets and cymbals to play aloud, and the musical instruments of God; and the sons of Jeduthun to be for the service at the gate.
43 Und das ganze Volk ging hin, ein jeder nach seinem Hause; und David wandte sich, um sein Haus zu segnen. [O. zu begrüßen]
And all the people went every man to his house; and David turned about to bless his house.
