Psalm 121

1 Ein Stufenlied. / Ich hebe meine Augen zu den Bergen: / Woher wird mir Hilfe kommen?

A song of degrees. I will lift mine eyes vnto the mountaines, from whence mine helpe shall come.

2 Meine Hilfe kommt von Jahwe, / Der Himmel und Erde geschaffen hat.

Mine helpe commeth from the Lord, which hath made the heauen and the earth.

3 Wird er deinen Fuß wohl wanken lassen? / Wird etwa dein Hüter schlummern?

He wil not suffer thy foote to slippe: for he that keepeth thee, will not slumber.

4 Sieh, nicht wird schlummern oder gar schlafen / Israels Hüter.

Beholde, he that keepeth Israel, wil neither slumber nor sleepe.

5 Jahwe ist dein Hüter, / Jahwe ist dein Schatten über deiner rechten Hand.

The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shadow at thy right hand.

6 Tagsüber wird dich die Sonne nicht stechen / Und der Mond nicht des Nachts.

The sunne shall not smite thee by day, nor the moone by night.

7 Jahwe wird dich behüten vor allem Übel, / Er wird deine Seele behüten.

The Lord shall preserue thee from all euil: he shall keepe thy soule.

8 Jahwe wird deinen Ausgang und Eingang behüten / Von nun an bis in Ewigkeit.

The Lord shall preserue thy going out, and thy comming in from henceforth and for euer.
