Markus 1
1 Die Frohe Botschaft Jesu Christi wurde eingeleitet
The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
2 im Einklang mit den Worten in dem Buch des Propheten Jesaja: Sieh, ich sende meinen Boten vor dir her, der dir den Weg bereiten soll.
As it is written in the Prophets, “Behold, I am sending my messenger ahead of yoʋ, who will prepare yoʋr way before yoʋ,
3 In der Wüste ruft eine Stimme: Bereitet dem Herrn den Weg, ebnet ihm die Pfade!
the voice of one crying out in the wilderness, ‘Prepare the way for the Lord; make his paths straight,’”
4 Demgemäß trat Johannes der Täufer in der Wüste auf; er verkündigte eine Taufe, die von Sinnesänderung begleitet sein müsse, damit man Vergebung der Sünden empfangen könne.
John came baptizing in the wilderness and preaching a baptism of repentance for the remission of sins.
5 Da gingen zu ihm hinaus die Leute aus dem ganzen jüdischen Land und alle Bewohner Jerusalems. Die ließen sich im Jordanfluß von ihm taufen und bekannten ihre Sünden.
The whole Judean countryside was going out to him, and so were the people of Jerusalem. They were all being baptized by him in the Jordan River, confessing their sins.
6 Johannes trug ein Kleid von Kamelhaaren und um seine Hüften einen Ledergurt; er nährte sich von Heuschrecken und wildem Honig.
Now John was clothed with camel's hair and wore a leather belt around his waist; he ate locusts and wild honey.
7 In seiner Predigt sagte er: "Nach mir kommt einer, der hat größere Gewalt als ich; ich bin nicht wert, mich zu bücken und ihm seine Schuhriemen aufzubinden.
He proclaimed, “After me comes one who is mightier than I, the strap of whose sandals I am not worthy to stoop down and untie.
8 Ich habe euch nur mit Wasser getauft; er aber wird euch mit Heiligem Geist taufen."
I have baptized you with water, but he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.”
9 In jenen Tagen kam nun auch Jesus aus dem galiläischen Ort Nazaret und ließ sich von Johannes im Jordan taufen.
In those days Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan.
10 In dem Augenblick, wo er aus dem Wasser wieder ans Ufer stieg, sah er, wie sich der Himmel öffnete und der Geist wie eine Taube auf ihn herniederschwebte.
Immediately as he was coming up from the water, he saw the heavens being split apart and the Spirit descending on him like a dove.
11 Und eine Stimme aus dem Himmel sprach: "Du bist mein geliebter Sohn; dich habe ich erkoren."
Then a voice came from heaven: “Yoʋ are my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”
12 Unmittelbar darauf führte ihn der Geist mit unwiderstehlicher Gewalt in die Wüste.
Immediately the Spirit drove him out into the wilderness,
13 Dort hielt er sich vierzig Tage auf und ward von dem Satan versucht. Die wilden Tiere umgaben ihn, und die Engel brachten ihm Speise.
and he was there in the wilderness for forty days, being tempted by Satan. He was with the wild beasts, and the angels ministered to him.
14 Als Johannes verhaftet war, kam Jesus nach Galiläa und verkündigte dort die Frohe Botschaft Gottes.
After John was put in prison, Jesus went to Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God
15 "Die Zeit", so sprach er, "ist erfüllt, und Gottes Königreich ist nahe herbeigekommen! Ändert euern Sinn und glaubt an die Frohe Botschaft!"
and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God has drawn near. Repent and believe in the gospel.”
16 Als Jesus (eines Tages) an dem Ufer des Galiläischen Sees wandelte, sah er, wie Simon und sein Bruder Andreas gerade ein Wurfnetz in dem See auswarfen; denn sie waren Fischer.
As Jesus was walking by the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew his brother (that is, Simon's brother) casting a net in the sea, for they were fishermen.
17 Jesus sprach zu ihnen: "Kommt und folgt mir! Ich will euch zu Menschenfischern machen."
Jesus said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.”
18 Da ließen sie sofort ihre Netze liegen und folgten ihm.
So they immediately left their nets and followed him.
19 Als er eine kleine Strecke weiterging, sah er Jakobus, den Sohn des Zebedäus, und seinen Bruder Johannes, wie sie in ihrem Boot ihre Hochseenetze in Ordnung brachten. Sogleich berief er sie.
Going on a little farther from there, he saw James the son of Zebedee and John his brother as they were in the boat mending their nets.
20 Da ließen sie ihren Vater Zebedäus mit den Lohnarbeitern im Boot und folgten ihm.
Immediately he called them, and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired men and followed him.
21 Sie kamen nach Kapernaum. Gleich am nächsten Sabbat ging er in das Versammlungshaus und lehrte.
They went to Capernaum, and immediately on the Sabbath Jesus went into the synagogue and began teaching.
22 Da staunten die Leute ob seiner Lehre. Denn er lehrte sie wie einer, der (göttliche) Vollmacht dazu hatte, und nicht wie die Schriftgelehrten.
The people were astonished at his teaching, because he was teaching them as one who had authority, and not as the scribes.
23 Nun war in ihrem Versammlungshaus ein Mensch, der hatte einen unreinen Geist.
Now in their synagogue there was a man possessed by an unclean spirit. He cried out,
24 Der schrie plötzlich auf: "Was haben wir mit dir zu schaffen, Jesus von Nazaret? Du bist gekommen, um uns zu verderben. Wir wissen von dir, wer du bist: der Heilige Gottes."
“Leave us alone! What do yoʋ have to do with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have yoʋ come to destroy us? I know who yoʋ are—the Holy One of God.”
25 Aber Jesus bedrohte ihn: "Schweig und fahr aus von ihm!"
But Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Be silent, and come out of him!”
26 Da zerrte der unreine Geist den Menschen hin und her und fuhr aus von ihm mit lautem Geschrei.
So the unclean spirit convulsed the man and came out of him, crying out with a loud voice.
27 Da staunten sie alle und fragten einander: "Was bedeutet das? Das ist eine neue Lehre mit (göttlicher) Vollmacht! Sogar die unreinen Geister gehorchen seinem Gebot."
All the people were amazed so that they questioned among themselves, saying, “What is this? What new teaching is this that with authority he commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey him?”
28 Und die Kunde von ihm verbreitete sich bald überall in jener ganzen Gegend Galiläas.
And the news about him immediately spread throughout all the surrounding region of Galilee.
29 Sobald sie das Versammlungshaus verlassen hatten, gingen sie, begleitet von Jakobus und Johannes, in die Wohnung des Simon und Andreas.
After leaving the synagogue, they immediately went to the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John.
30 Dort lag Simons Schwiegermutter fieberkrank darnieder. Das teilte man Jesus sofort mit.
Now Simon's mother-in-law lay sick with a fever, and they immediately told Jesus about her.
31 Da ging er zu ihr, ergriff sie bei der Hand und ließ sie aufstehen. Sogleich wich das Fieber von ihr, und sie wartete ihnen bei der Mahlzeit auf.
So he went over to her and raised her up, taking hold of her hand. Immediately the fever left her, and she began to serve them.
32 Am Abend, nach Sonnenuntergang, brachte man alle Leidenden und Besessenen zu ihm.
When evening came, after the sun had set, they brought to Jesus all who were sick and those who were possessed by demons.
33 Ja, die ganze Stadt war vor der Tür versammelt.
The whole city was gathered together at the door,
34 Er heilte viele, die an mancherlei Krankheiten litten, und trieb viele böse Geister aus. Aber er erlaubte den Geistern nicht zu reden; denn sie wußten, wer er war.
and he healed many who were sick with various diseases. He also cast out many demons, but he would not allow the demons to speak, because they knew who he was.
35 Frühmorgens, als es noch ganz dunkel war, stand er auf, verließ das Haus und ging an eine einsame Stätte. Dort betete er.
Early the next morning, while it was still very dark, Jesus rose and departed. He went off to a desolate place and prayed there.
36 Simon aber und die anderen (Jünger) suchten ihn überall.
Simon and his companions searched diligently for him,
37 Als sie ihn gefunden hatten, sprachen sie zu ihm: "Alle Leute fragen nach dir."
and when they found him, they said to him, “Everyone is looking for yoʋ.”
38 Er antwortete ihnen: "Gehen wir doch anderswohin in die Flecken ringsum! Auch dort will ich die Heilsbotschaft verkündigen. Deshalb bin ich ja von Hause weggegangen."
Jesus said to them, “Let us go into the neighboring towns so that I may preach there also, for that is why I have come.”
39 So predigte er in ganz Galiläa in ihren Versammlungshäusern und trieb die bösen Geister aus.
So he was preaching in their synagogues in all of Galilee and casting out demons.
40 Eines Tages nahte ihm ein Aussätziger. Der war sich vor ihm auf die Knie und flehte ihn an: "Wenn du nur willst, kannst du mich reinigen."
Then a leper came up and knelt before him, begging him, “If yoʋ are willing, yoʋ can make me clean.”
41 Da streckte Jesus voll Mitleid seine Hand aus, rührte ihn an und sprach: "Ich will es, werde rein!"
Moved with compassion, Jesus stretched out his hand, touched the man, and said to him, “I am willing; be made clean.”
42 Sobald er dies gesagt, wich der Aussatz von ihm, und er wurde rein.
When he said this, the leprosy immediately departed from the man, and he was made clean.
43 Jesus ließ ihn sofort gehen und befahl ihm streng:
Then Jesus sternly warned him and immediately sent him away,
44 "Hüte dich, irgendwie davon zu reden! Doch geh, zeig dich dem Priester und bring für deine Reinigung das Opfer, das Mose vorgeschrieben hat, zum Zeugnis für die Leute."
saying to him, “Be sure not to say anything to anyone, but go show yoʋrself to the priest and offer for yoʋr cleansing what Moses commanded, as a testimony to them.”
45 Kaum aber war der Mann hinausgegangen, so begann er jedem von seiner Heilung zu erzählen. Ja er machte den Vorfall so bekannt, daß Jesus nicht mehr öffentlich in einer Stadt erscheinen konnte. Er hielt sich vielmehr draußen an unbewohnten Orten auf. Aber auch dorthin strömten die Leute von allen Seiten zu ihm.
But the man went out and began to proclaim it widely and to spread the news, so that Jesus could no longer openly enter a town, but was out in desolate places. Yet people were coming to him from everywhere.
