Markus 9
1 Dann fuhr er fort: "Wahrlich, ich sage euch: Einige von denen, die hier stehen, sollen den Tod nicht schmecken, ehe sie Gottes Königreich in Kraft haben erscheinen sehen."
He said to them, “Most certainly I tell you, there are some standing here who will in no way taste death until they see God’s Kingdom come with power.”
2 Sechs Tage später nahm Jesus Petrus, Jakobus und Johannes mit sich und führte sie ganz allein auf einen hohen Berg. Dort trat vor ihren Augen in seinem Äußeren eine Wandlung ein;
After six days Yeshua [Salvation] took with him Peter [Rock], James [Surplanter], and John [Yah is gracious], and brought them up onto a high mountain privately by themselves, and he was changed into another form in front of them.
3 auch seine Kleider wurden so glänzend und weiß, wie sie kein Bleicher auf Erden machen könnte.
His clothing became glistening, exceedingly white, like snow, such as no launderer on earth can whiten them.
4 Und es erschien ihnen Elia, begleitet von Mose, und beide hatten ein Gespräch mit Jesus.
Elijah [My God Yah] and Moses [Drawn out] appeared to them, and they were talking with Yeshua [Salvation].
5 Da nahm Petrus das Wort und sprach zu Jesus: "Meister, es trifft sich gut, daß wir hier sind! Laß uns nun drei Hütten bauen: für dich eine, für Mose eine und für Elia eine."
Peter [Rock] answered Yeshua [Salvation], “Rabbi ·Teacher·, it is good for us to be here. Let’s make three tents: one for you, one for Moses [Drawn out], and one for Elijah [My God Yah].”
6 Er wußte nämlich nicht, was er sagen sollte: so überwältigt waren sie.
For he didn’t know what to say, for they were very afraid.
7 Da kam eine Wolke, die umhüllte sie, und aus der Wolke rief eine Stimme: "Die ist mein geliebter Sohn; auf den hört!"
A cloud came, overshadowing them, and a voice came out of the cloud, “This is my agapetos ·beloved, esteemed· Son. Listen to him.”
8 Da schauten sie sich um; und plötzlich sahen sie niemand mehr bei sich als Jesus allein.
Suddenly looking around, they saw no one with them any more, except Yeshua [Salvation] only.
9 Als sie dann von dem Berg herabgingen, gebot er ihnen, sie sollten das, was sie gesehen, niemand erzählen, bis der Menschensohn von den Toten auferstanden sei.
As they were coming down from the mountain, he commanded them that they should tell no one what things they had seen, until after the Son of Man had risen from the dead.
10 Sie behielten es auch für sich; doch sie sprachen darüber, was wohl dies Auferstehen von den Toten bedeute.
They kept this saying to themselves, questioning what the “rising from the dead” meant.
11 Darum fragten sie ihn: "Die Schriftgelehrten behaupten doch, Elia müsse vorher kommen."
They asked him, saying, “Why do the Torah-Teachers say that Elijah [My God Yah] must come first?”
12 Er antwortete ihnen: "Gewiß, Elia soll vorher kommen und alles in Ordnung bringen. Aber wie reimt es sich damit, daß von dem Menschensohn geschrieben steht: er soll viel leiden und für nichts geachtet werden?
He said to them, “Elijah [My God Yah] indeed comes first, and restores all things. How is it written about the Son of Man, that he should suffer many things and be despised?
13 Trotzdem versichere ich euch: Elia ist schon gekommen; aber sie haben ihren Mutwillen an ihm geübt. Und das steht ja auch von ihm geschrieben."
But I tell you that Elijah [My God Yah] has come, and they have also done to him whatever they wanted to, even as it is written about him.”
14 Als er zu den anderen Jüngern zurückkam, sah er einen großen Volkshaufen und Schriftgelehrte um sie versammelt, die mit ihnen redeten.
Coming to the disciples, he saw a great multitude around them, and Torah-Teachers questioning them.
15 Sobald alle die Leute ihn erblickten, waren sie freudig überrascht: sie eilten ihm entgegen und begrüßten ihn.
Immediately all the multitude, when they saw him, were greatly amazed, and running to him greeted him.
16 Da fragte er sie: "Worüber redet ihr mit ihnen?"
He asked the Torah-Teachers, “What are you asking them?”
17 Einer aus der Menge antwortete ihm: "Meister, ich habe meinen Sohn zu dir gebracht, der ist von einem stummen Geist besessen.
One of the multitude answered, “Rabbi ·Teacher·, I brought to you my son, who has a mute spirit;
18 Wenn der ihn packt, so zerrt er ihn hin und her; dann tritt ihm Schaum vor den Mund, er knirscht mit den Zähnen und liegt starr da. Ich habe nun deine Jünger gebeten, ihn auszutreiben; aber sie haben es nicht gekonnt."
and wherever it seizes him, it throws him down, and he foams at the mouth, and grinds his teeth, and wastes away. I asked your disciples to cast it out, and they were not able.”
19 Da sprach Jesus zu ihnen: "Ihr ungläubige Art! Wie lange soll ich noch bei euch sein? Wie lange euch noch ertragen? Bringt ihn her zu mir!"
He answered him, “Unbelieving generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him to me.”
20 Da brachten sie ihm den Knaben. Bei Jesu Anblick aber zerrte der (böse) Geist den Knaben in allen seinen Gliedern: er fiel zu Boden und wälzte sich, indem ihm Schaum vor den Mund trat.
They brought him to him, and when he saw him, immediately the spirit convulsed him, and he fell on the ground, wallowing and foaming at the mouth.
21 Jesus fragte den Vater: "Wie lange hat er das schon?" Der Vater antwortete: "Von Kindheit an;
He asked 'Aviv [his father], “How long has it been since this has come to him?” He said, “From childhood.
22 und oft hat ihn der Geist sogar ins Feuer und ins Wasser geworfen, um ihn zu töten. Doch wenn du kannst, so hilf uns, hab Erbarmen mit uns!"
Often it has cast him both into the fire and into the water, to destroy him. But if you can do anything, have compassion on us, and help us.”
23 Jesus sprach zu ihm: "Du sagst: 'Wenn du kannst'. Wer glaubt, kann alles."
Yeshua [Salvation] said to him, “If you can trust, all things are possible to him who trusts.”
24 Sofort rief des Kindes Vater laut: "Ich glaube! Hilf meinem Unglauben!"
Immediately the Abba father of the child cried out with tears, “I trust. Help my unbelief!”
25 Als Jesus sah, daß immer mehr Leute herbeiströmten, da bedrohte er den unreinen Geist mit den Worten: "Du stummer und tauber Geist, ich gebiete dir: fahr aus von ihm und kehr nie wieder in ihn zurück!"
When Yeshua [Salvation] saw that a multitude came running together, he rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to him, “You mute and deaf spirit, I command you, come out of him, and never enter him again!”
26 Da fuhr der Geist laut schreiend aus und riß dabei den Knaben in heftigen Krämpfen hin und her. Der Knabe lag wie eine Leiche da, so daß die meisten sagten: "Er ist tot."
Having cried out, and convulsed greatly, it came out of him. The boy became like one dead; so much that most of them said, “He is dead.”
27 Aber Jesus ergriff ihn bei der Hand und richtete ihn auf: da kam er zu sich. —
But Yeshua [Salvation] took him by the hand, and raised him up; and he arose.
28 Nach seiner Heimkehr fragten die Jünger Jesus, als sie allein mit ihm waren: "Warum haben wir den bösen Geist nicht austreiben können?"
When he had come into the house, his disciples asked him privately, “Why couldn’t we cast it out?”
29 Er antwortete ihnen: "Ein böser Geist von dieser Art kann durch nichts anderes ausgetrieben werden als durch Gebet und Fasten."
He said to them, “This kind can come out by nothing, except by prayer and fasting.”
30 Sie verließen dann die Gegend und wanderten durch Galiläa hin.
They went out from there, and passed through Galilee [District, Circuit]. He didn’t want anyone to know it.
31 Aber er wollte nicht, daß es jemand erführe. Er lehrte nämlich seine Jünger und sagte ihnen: "Der Menschensohn wird in der Menschenhände überliefert, und sie werden ihn töten; aber drei Tage nach seinem Tod wird er wieder auferstehen."
For he was teaching his disciples, and said to them, “The Son of Man is being handed over to the hands of men, and they will kill him; and when he is killed, on the third day he will rise again.”
32 Sie verstanden freilich nicht, was er mit diesen Worten meinte; doch sie scheuten sich, ihn danach zu fragen.
But they didn’t understand the saying, and were afraid to ask him.
33 Dann kam er nach Kapernaum. Zu Hause fragte er sie: "Worüber habt ihr unterwegs gesprochen?"
He came to Capernaum [Village-Comfort, Village-Compassion], and when he was in the house he asked them, “What were you arguing among yourselves on the way?”
34 Sie schwiegen (beschämt); denn sie hatten unterwegs davon geredet, wer von ihnen der Größte sei.
But they were silent, for they had disputed one with another on the way about who was the greatest.
35 Da setzte er sich, rief die Zwölf und sprach zu ihnen: "Wer der Erste sein will, der muß der Allerletzte werden und aller Diener."
He sat down, and called the twelve; and he said to them, “If any man wants to be first, he shall be last of all, and servant of all.”
36 Dann nahm er ein kleines Kind, stellte es mitten unter sie, umarmte es und sprach zu ihnen:
He took a little child, and set him in the middle of them. Taking him in his arms, he said to them,
37 "Wer ein solches Kind aufnimmt, weil es meinen Namen bekennt, der nimmt mich auf. Und wer mich aufnimmt, der nimmt nicht mich auf, sondern den, der mich gesandt hat."
“Whoever receives one such little child in my name, receives me, and whoever receives me, does not receive me, but him who sent me.”
38 Da sprach Johannes zu ihm: "Meister, wir haben gesehen, wie einer, der uns nicht nachfolgt, in deinem Namen böse Geister austrieb; aber wir haben es ihm verboten."
John [Yah is gracious] said to him, “Rabbi ·Teacher·, we saw someone who does not follow us casting out demons in your name; and we forbade him, because he does not follow us.”
39 Jesus antwortete: "Ihr hättet es ihm nicht verbieten sollen. Denn wer in meinem Namen Wunder tut, der kann nicht gleich darauf mich schmähen.
But Yeshua [Salvation] said, “Don’t forbid him, for there is no one who will do a mighty work in my name, and be able quickly to speak evil of me.
40 Wer nicht gegen uns ist, der ist für uns.
For whoever is not against us is on our side.
41 Ja, wer euch auch nur einen Becher Wasser zu trinken gibt, weil ihr Christi Jünger seid, der soll — das sage ich euch feierlich — seines Lohnes nicht verlustig gehen.
For whoever will give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because you are Messiah [Anointed one]’s, most certainly I tell you, he will in no way lose his reward.
42 Wer aber eins von den jungen Kindern, die gläubig sind, zur Sünde verführt, für den wäre es besser gewesen, man hätte ihm vorher einen großen Mühlstein um den Hals gehängt und ihn ins Meer geworfen.
Whoever will cause one of these little ones who trust in me to be scandalized ·to entrap, to cause weak knees that waiver, stumbling block that causes falling, distrusting one that should be trusted and obeyed, disapproving of authority, to judge unfavorably causing displeasure, indignant·, it would be better for him if he were thrown into the sea with a millstone hung around his neck.
43 Und wenn deine Hand dich zur Sünde reizt, haue sie ab! Es ist besser für dich, du gehst verstümmelt ins Leben ein, als daß du zwei Hände hast und fährst in die Hölle: Ins Feuer, das niemand löschen kann. (Geenna g1067)
If your hand causes you to be scandalized ·to entrap, to cause weak knees that waiver, stumbling block that causes falling, distrusting one that should be trusted and obeyed, disapproving of authority, to judge unfavorably causing displeasure, indignant·, cut it off. It is better for you to enter into life maimed, rather than having your two hands to go into Gehenna (Place of fiery torment for the dead), into the unquenchable fire, (Geenna g1067)
‘where their worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched.’
45 Und wenn dein Fuß dich zur Sünde reizt, haue ihn ab! Es ist besser für dich, du gehst hinkend ins Leben ein, als daß du zwei Füße hast und in die Hölle geworfen wirst. (Geenna g1067)
If your foot causes you to be scandalized ·to entrap, to cause weak knees that waiver, stumbling block that causes falling, distrusting one that should be trusted and obeyed, disapproving of authority, to judge unfavorably causing displeasure, indignant·, cut it off. It is better for you to enter into life lame, rather than having your two feet to be cast into Gehenna (Place of fiery torment for the dead), into the fire that will never be quenched— (Geenna g1067)
‘where their worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched.’
47 Und wenn dich dein Auge zur Sünde reizt, reiße es aus! Es ist besser für dich, du kommst einäugig ins Gottesreich, als daß du zwei Augen hast und in die Hölle geworfen wirst, (Geenna g1067)
If your eye causes you to be scandalized ·to entrap, to cause weak knees that waiver, stumbling block that causes falling, distrusting one that should be trusted and obeyed, disapproving of authority, to judge unfavorably causing displeasure, indignant·, cast it out. It is better for you to enter into God’s Kingdom with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into the Gehenna (Place of fiery torment for the dead) of fire, (Geenna g1067)
48 wo 'ihr Wurm nicht stirbt, und das Feuer nicht erlischt.'
‘where their worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched.’
49 Jeder wird ja mit Feuer gesalzen.
For everyone will be salted with fire, and every sacrifice will be seasoned with salt.
50 Gut ist das Salz. Wenn aber das Salz den Geschmack verliert, womit wollt ihr's dann wieder würzen? So habt denn Salz in euch und haltet Frieden untereinander!"
Salt is good, but if the salt has lost its saltiness, with what will you season it? Have salt in yourselves, and be at peace with one another.”
