Markus 3
1 Als er wieder einmal in das Versammlungshaus kam, war dort ein Mann mit einem abgestorbenen Arm.
At another time, when He went to the synagogue, there was a man there with one arm shrivelled up.
2 Und sie lauerten ihm auf, ob er ihn wohl am Sabbat heilen werden; denn sie suchten einen Grund, ihn zu verklagen.
They closely watched Him to see whether He would cure him on the Sabbath--so as to have a charge to bring against Him.
3 Da sprach er zu dem Mann mit dem abgestorbenen Arm: "Steh auf, tritt vor!"
"Come forward," said He to the man with the shrivelled arm.
4 Dann fragte er sie: "Soll man am Sabbat lieber Gutes oder Böses tun, ein Leben retten oder vernichten?" Sie aber schwiegen.
Then He asked them, "Are we allowed to do good on the Sabbath, or to do evil? to save a life, or to destroy one?" They remained silent.
5 Da sah er sie ringsum zornig an und zugleich voll Trauer über die Verstocktheit ihres Herzens. Dann sprach er zu dem Mann: "Strecke deinen Arm aus!" Da streckte er ihn aus, und sein Arm ward wiederhergestellt.
Grieved and indignant at the hardening of their hearts, He looked round on them with anger, and said to the man, "Stretch out your arm." He stretched it out, and the arm was completely restored.
6 Als die Pharisäer den Gottesdienst verließen, berieten sie sich alsbald mit den Anhängern des Herodes wider ihn, wie sie ihn zu Tode bringen könnten.
But no sooner had the Pharisees left the synagogue than they held a consultation with the Herodians against Jesus, to devise some means of destroying Him.
7 Jesus ging hierauf mit seinen Jüngern an den See zurück, und eine große Volksmenge aus Galiläa zog ihm nach. Auch aus Judäa
Accordingly Jesus withdrew with His disciples to the Lake, and a vast crowd of people from Galilee followed Him;
8 und Jerusalem, aus Idumäa, dem Ostjordanland und aus der Gegend von Tyrus und Sidon kamen die Leute auf die Kunde von seinen Taten in großen Scharen zu ihm.
and from Judaea and Jerusalem and Idumaea and from beyond the Jordan and from the district of Tyre and Sidon there came to Him a vast crowd, hearing of all that He was doing.
9 Da sagte er zu seinen Jüngern, es solle der vielen Leute wegen stets ein Boot für ihn bereitstehen, damit man ihn nicht dränge.
So He gave directions to His disciples to keep a small boat in constant attendance on Him because of the throng--to prevent their crushing Him.
10 Denn weil er viele heilte, so stürzten sich alle, die ein Leiden hatten, auf ihn, um ihn anzurühren.
For He had cured many of the people, so that all who had any ailments pressed upon Him, to touch Him.
11 Und wenn ihn die unreinen Geister erblickten, so fielen sie vor ihm nieder und schrien: "Du bist Gottes Sohn!"
And the foul spirits, whenever they saw Him, threw themselves down at His feet, screaming out: "You are the Son of God."
12 Aber dann verbot er ihnen aufs strengste, ihn bekanntzumachen.
But He many a time checked them, forbidding them to say who He was.
13 Eines Tages ging er auf das Gebirge. Dorthin rief er zu sich, die er selbst bestimmte, und sie kamen zu ihm.
Then He went up the hill; and those whom He Himself chose He called, and they came to Him.
14 Aus ihnen erwählte er zwölf, die sollten ständig um ihn sein, und er wollte sie aussenden, damit sie das Wort verkündigten
He appointed twelve of them, that they might be with Him, and that He might also send them to proclaim His Message,
15 und auch die Macht besäßen, die bösen Geister auszutreiben.
with authority to expel the demons.
16 Dies sind nun die Zwölf, die er bestellte: Simon, dem er den Namen Petrus gab;
These twelve were Simon (to whom He gave the surname of Peter),
17 ferner Jakobus, der Sohn des Zebedäus, und Johannes, der Bruder des Jakobus, denen er den Namen Boanerges, das heißt Donnersöhne, gab;
James the son of Zabdi and John the brother of James (these two He surnamed Boanerges, that is 'Sons of Thunder'),
18 ferner Andreas, Philippus, Bartholomäus, Matthäus, Thomas, Jakobus, der Sohn des Alphäus, Thaddäus, Simon der Eiferer
Andrew, Philip, Bartholomew, Matthew, Thomas, James the son of Alphaeus, Thaddaeus, Simon the Cananaean,
19 und Judas aus Kariot, der ihn verraten hat.
and Judas Iscariot, the man who also betrayed Him.
20 Als er nach Hause kam, sammelten sich wieder viele Leute, so daß sie nicht einmal Gelegenheit hatten, einen Imbiß zu nehmen.
And He went into a house. But again the crowd assembled, so that there was no opportunity for them even to snatch a meal.
21 Als seine Verwandten das erfuhren, kamen sie herbei, um ihn mit Gewalt hinwegzuführen. Denn sie sagten: "Er ist von Sinnen!"
Hearing of this, His relatives came to seize Him by force, for they said, "He is out of his mind."
22 Die Schriftgelehrten aber, die von Jerusalem gekommen waren, sprachen: "Er ist besessen von Beelzebul, und im Bunde mit dem Obersten der bösen Geister treibt er die Teufel aus."
The Scribes, too, who had come down from Jerusalem said, "He has Baal-zebul in him; and it is by the power of the Prince of the demons that he expels the demons."
23 Da rief er sie heran und wandte sich an sie in einer Gleichnisrede. "Wie ist es möglich", so sprach er, "daß der Satan den Satan austreiben kann?
So He called them to Him, and using figurative language He appealed to them, saying, "How is it possible for Satan to expel Satan?
24 Ein Reich, das in sich selbst uneins ist, ein solches Reich kann nicht stehen.
For if civil war breaks out in a kingdom, nothing can make that kingdom last;
25 Ein Haus, das in sich selbst uneins ist, ein solches Haus kann nicht bestehen.
and if a family splits into parties, that family cannot continue.
26 Wenn sich nun der Satan gegen seine eigene Macht erhebt und mit sich selbst uneins ist, so kann er nicht länger bestehen, sondern es ist aus mit ihm.
So if Satan has risen in arms and has made war upon himself, stand he cannot, but meets his end.
27 Niemand kann in das Haus eines starken Kriegsmannes dringen und ihm seinen Hausrat rauben, wenn er nicht zuvor den Starken bindet; dann erst kann er sein Haus berauben.
Nay, no one can go into a strong man's house and carry off his property, unless he first binds the strong man, and then he will plunder his house.
28 Wahrlich, ich sage euch: Alle Sünden werden den Menschenkindern vergeben, auch alle Lästerungen, die sie aussprechen mögen.
In solemn truth I tell you that all their sins may be pardoned to the sons of men, and all their blasphemies, however they may have blasphemed;
30 So sprach Jesus, weil sie sagten: "Er hat einen unreinen Geist."
This was because they said, "He is possessed by a foul spirit."
31 Da kamen seine Brüder und seine Mutter. Die blieben draußen stehen und ließen ihn zu sich rufen.
By this time His mother and His brothers arrive, and standing outside they send a message to Him to call Him.
32 Es saß aber eine Menge Menschen um ihn. Da sagte man zu ihm: "Sieh, deine Mutter, deine Brüder und deine Schwestern sind draußen und fragen nach dir."
Now a crowd was sitting round Him; so they tell Him, "Your mother and your brothers and sisters are outside, inquiring for you."
33 Er antwortete: "Wer ist meine Mutter? Wer sind meine Brüder?"
"Who are my mother and my brothers?" He replied.
34 Dann sah er auf die, die rings im Kreis um ihn saßen, und sprach: "Da seht meine Mutter und meine Brüder!
And, fixing His eyes on the people who were sitting round Him in a circle, He said,
35 Denn wer den Willen Gottes tut, der ist mir Bruder, Schwester und Mutter."
"Here are my mother and my brothers. For wherever there is one who has been obedient to God, there is my brother--my sister--and my mother."
