Lukas 24
1 Am ersten Wochentag aber gingen sie in tiefer Morgenfrühe zum Grab und nahmen die Gewürze mit, die sie besorgt hatten.
NOW on the first day of the week, at the earliest dawn of day, they came to the sepulchre, bringing the aromatics which they had prepared, and certain others with them.
2 Da fanden sie den Stein von dem Grab weggewälzt;
And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre.
3 und als sie (in die Grabkammer) eintraten, fanden sie den Leichnam des Herrn Jesus nicht.
And on entering, found not the body of the Lord Jesus.
4 Als sie darüber betroffen waren, standen auf einmal zwei Männer in leuchtenden Gewändern bei ihnen.
And it came to pass, as they were in the greatest perplexity concerning this matter, then behold, two men stood by them in refulgent garments:
5 Dieser Anblick erfüllte sie mit Furcht, und sie senkten ihren Blick zu Boden. Die Männer aber sprachen zu ihnen: "Warum sucht ihr den Lebendigen bei den Toten?
and when they were exceedingly terrified, and inclined their face to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead?
6 Er ist nicht hier, er ist auferstanden! Denkt daran, wie er zu euch geredet hat, als er noch in Galiläa war.
he is not here; he is risen: remember how he spoke to you, while he was yet in Galilee,
7 Da hat er von dem Menschensohn gesagt, er müsse in die Hände sündiger Menschen überliefert und gekreuzigt werden, aber am dritten Tag auferstehen."
saying, That the Son of man must be delivered up into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.
8 Da gedachten sie an seine Worte.
And they remembered his declarations,
9 Sie kehrten nun vom Grab in die Stadt zurück und berichteten das alles den elf Aposteln und allen übrigen.
and returning from the sepulchre, told all these things to the eleven, and to the rest.
10 Es waren dies aber Maria aus Magdala, Johanna und Maria, des Jakobus Mutter. Sie und die anderen Frauen erzählten das den Aposteln.
Now there were Mary Magdalene, and Joanna, and Mary the mother of James, and the other women who were with them, that told these things to the apostles.
11 Denen aber erschienen diese Mitteilungen ganz märchenhaft, und sie glaubten den Frauen nicht.
And their declarations seemed in their view as a mere fancy, and they gave them no credence.
Then Peter rising up, ran off to the sepulchre, and leaning forward saw the linen clothes laid separately, and went away wondering in himself what was become of him.
13 An demselben Tag gingen zwei von den Jüngern nach einem Dorf mit Namen Emmaus, das etwa anderthalb Meilen von Jerusalem entfernt war.
And behold, two of them were going the same day to a village, distant about sixty furlongs from Jerusalem, called Emmaus.
14 Sie redeten miteinander von allen diesen Begebenheiten.
And they were conversing with each other, concerning all those things which had happened.
15 Während sie sich so unterhielten und miteinander besprachen, näherte sich Jesus selbst und schloß sich ihnen auf der Wanderung an.
And it came to pass, as they were conversing together, and talking the matter over, even Jesus himself drew near, and walked on with them.
16 Doch ihre Augen wurden gehalten, so daß sie ihn nicht erkannten.
But their eyes were under a restraint, that they might not discover him.
17 Da sprach er zu ihnen: "Worüber redet ihr denn so eifrig miteinander auf euerm Weg?" Bei diesen Worten blieben sie mürrisch stehen.
And he said unto them, What are these discourses that ye interchange among you, as ye are walking, and bear such a face of dejection?
18 Dann fragte ihn der eine von ihnen mit Namen Kleopas: "Bist du denn der einzige Fremdling in Jerusalem, der nichts von dem erfahren hat, was in diesen Tagen dort geschehen ist?"
Then one of them, named Cleopas, answering said, Art thou the only sojourner at Jerusalem, who hath not known the singular events of those days?
19 Er sprach zu ihnen: "Was denn?" Da antworteten sie ihm: "Das, was sich ereignet hat mit Jesus von Nazaret. Der war ein Prophet, mächtig in Werk und Wort vor Gott und allem Volk.
And he said to them, Of what sort? and they said to him, Those which relate to Jesus the Nazarean, who was a man, a prophet, mighty in word and deed before God and all the people:
20 Den haben unsere Hohenpriester und Obersten zur Todesstrafe ausgeliefert und kreuzigen lassen.
and how our chief priests and rulers delivered him up to a sentence of death, and crucified him.
21 Wir aber hatten gehofft, er wäre Israels Befreier. Doch leider ist bei alledem heute schon der dritte Tag, seit dies geschehen ist.
But we had entertained hopes that this was the person who should have redeemed Israel: and ah! besides all these things, to-day concludes that third day since these things were done.
22 Dazu haben uns noch einige Frauen aus unserem Kreis bestürzt gemacht. Die sind heute in der Frühe bei dem Grab gewesen
And indeed, certain women belonging to us exceedingly amazed us who were very early at the sepulchre;
23 und haben seinen Leichnam nicht gefunden. Bei ihrer Rückkehr haben sie dann erzählt, es seien ihnen Engel erschienen, die hätten gesagt, er lebe.
and not finding his body, came, saying, that they had also seen a vision of angels, who told them that he was alive.
24 Daraufhin sind einige von den Unseren zum Grab gegangen und haben es so gefunden, wie die Frauen berichtet hatten; ihn selbst aber haben sie nicht gesehen."
And some of those who were with us went to the sepulchre, and found every thing just as the women had said: but him they did not see.
25 Da sprach er zu ihnen: "Wie seid ihr doch so unverständig, und wie ist euer Herz so träge, allen Worten der Propheten zu glauben!
And he said unto them, O ye void of understanding, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken!
26 Mußte denn der Messias nicht so leiden und dann in seine Herrlichkeit eingehen?"
Ought not the Messiah to suffer these things, and to enter into his glory?
27 Nun fing er bei Mose an, ging dann zu den Propheten über und legte ihnen aus, was sich in allen Schriften auf ihn bezog.
And beginning from Moses and all the prophets, he explained to them in all the scriptures, the things relating to himself.
28 So kamen sie dem Dorf nahe, wohin sie wanderten. Da tat er so, als ob er weitergehen wolle.
And they drew nigh to the village, whither they were going: and he was proceeding on, as if going farther.
29 Aber sie baten ihn dringend: "Kehre doch bei uns ein! Denn es geht zum Abend, und der Tag hat sich schon geneigt." Da trat er in das Haus, um bei ihnen zu bleiben.
And they warmly pressed him, saying, Stay with us: for the evening draws on, and the day declines. And he went in to stay with them.
30 Als er dann mit ihnen zu Tisch war, nahm er das Brot, sprach den Lobpreis darüber, brach es und gab es ihnen.
And it came to pass, when he was sitting down at table with them, taking up a loaf, he blessed it, and breaking, distributed it to them.
31 Da wurden ihnen die Augen geöffnet, und sie erkannten ihn. Doch er verschwand vor ihnen.
Then their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he became invisible to them.
32 Da sprachen sie zueinander: "Brannte nicht unser Herz in uns, als er unterwegs mit uns redete und uns den Sinn der Schriften erschloß?"
And they said to each other, Did not our hearts burn within us, as he talked with us on the road, and as he distinctly opened to us the scriptures?
33 Nun erhoben sie sich vom Mahl und kehrten noch in derselben Stunde nach Jerusalem zurück. Dort fanden sie die Elf mit den anderen Jüngern versammelt.
And rising up the same hour, they returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven and those who were with them crowded together,
34 Die verkündigten ihnen: "Der Herr ist wahrhaftig auferstanden und Simon erschienen!"
saying, The Lord is risen assuredly, and hath appeared to Simon.
35 Da erzählten sie auch, was sie auf ihrer Wanderung erlebt hatten, und wie er von ihnen bei dem Brechen des Brotes erkannt worden sei.
Then these recounted what had passed on the road, and how he was known to them by the breaking of the bread.
36 Während sie sich so unterhielten, trat er selbst in ihre Mitte.
While they were relating these things, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you!
37 Da gerieten sie in Angst und Furcht; denn sie meinten, einen Geist zu sehen.
But terrified and affrighted, they thought they saw a spirit.
38 Doch er sprach zu ihnen: "Was seid ihr so erschrocken, und warum steigen solche Gedanken in euern Herzen auf?
And he said to them, Why are ye under such agitation of mind? and why do reasonings arise in your hearts?
39 Seht meine Hände und Füße an — ich bin's ja selbst! Fühlt mich nur an, wie ihr's an mir wahrnehmt."
look upon my hands and my feet, that it is my very self: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.
And thus speaking, he exposed to them his hands and his feet.
41 Als sie aber vor freudiger Überraschung immer noch nicht glaubten und verwundert waren, fragte er sie: "Habt ihr hier etwas zu essen?"
But when they still could not credit it for joy, and marvelled, he said unto them, Have ye here any thing eatable?
42 Da reichten sie ihm ein Stück von einem gebratenen Fisch.
Then they gave him a part of a broiled fish, and a piece of honey-comb.
43 Das nahm er und aß es vor ihren Augen.
And receiving it, he did eat in their presence.
44 Dann sprach er zu ihnen: "Dies ist's, was ich zu euch geredet habe, als ich noch bei euch war. Da sagte ich euch, es müsse alles in Erfüllung gehen, was im Gesetz Moses, in den Propheten und den Psalmen von mir geschrieben steht.
And said unto them, These are the sayings which I spake unto you, when I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which are written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the Psalms, concerning me.
45 Nun öffnete er ihnen den Sinn für das Verständnis der Schriften.
Then opened he thoroughly their understanding, that they should understand the scriptures,
46 Hierauf fuhr er fort: "So steht geschrieben: Der Messias muß leiden und am dritten Tag von den Toten auferstehen,
and said to them, That thus it is written, and thus must the Messiah suffer, and rise again from the dead the third day
47 und in seinem Namen sollen alle Völker aufgefordert werden, ihren Sinn zu ändern, damit sie Vergebung der Sünden empfangen.
and that repentance and remission of sin should be preached in his name unto all nations, beginning from Jerusalem.
48 In Jerusalem beginnend sollt ihr hiervon Zeugnis geben.
And ye are the witnesses of these things.
49 Und ich will auf euch niedersenden, was euch mein Vater verheißen hat. Ihr aber bleibt hier in der Stadt, bis ihr aus der Höhe mit Kraft gekleidet seid!"
And, behold, I send unto you the promise of my Father: but sit ye down in the city of Jerusalem, until ye shall be endued with power from on high.
50 Dann führte er sie hinaus bis dahin, wo es nach Bethanien geht. Da hob er seine Hände auf und segnete sie.
And he led them without the city as far as Bethany, and lifting up his hands he blessed them.
51 Und während er sie segnete, schied er von ihnen.
And it came to pass, as he pronounced the benediction upon them, he was parted from them, and taken up into heaven.
52 Sie aber kehrten hocherfreut nach Jerusalem zurück.
And they, after paying him their adorations, returned to Jerusalem with vast joy:
53 Dort waren sie beständig im Tempel und lobten Gott.
and were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen.
