Lukas 22
1 Inzwischen nahte das Fest der ungesäuerten Brote, das sogenannte Passah.
And the feast of the unleavened bread, which is called a Passover, was drawing near.
2 Die Hohenpriester und die Schriftgelehrten überlegten, wie sie ihn aus dem Weg räumen könnten; denn sie hatten vor dem Volk Furcht.
And the High-priests and the Scribes were seeking, how they might get rid of him; for they feared the people.
3 Da fuhr der Satan in Judas, genannt der Mann aus Kariot, der zu der Zahl der Zwölf gehörte.
But Satan entered into Judas, him called Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve;
4 Der ging hin und verabredete mit den Hohenpriestern und den Hauptleuten der Tempelwache, wie er ihnen Jesus in die Hände liefern wolle.
and, departing, he conversed with the High-priests and Captains, as to how, unto them, he might deliver him up.
5 Da freuten sie sich sehr und versprachen, ihm Geld zu geben.
And they rejoiced, and bargained with him to give him, silver;
6 Er nahm ihr Anerbieten an und suchte nach einer günstigen Gelegenheit, ihn ohne Aufsehen zu verraten.
and he freely consented, and began seeking a good opportunity for delivering him up, in the absence of a multitude, unto them.
7 So kam der Tag der ungesäuerten Brote, wo man das Passahlamm opfern mußte.
Now the day of the unleavened bread a came, —on which it was needful to be sacrificing the passover.
8 Da entsandte Jesus Petrus und Johannes mit dem Auftrag: "Geht und bereitet uns das Passahmahl, daß wir es essen."
And he sent forth Peter and John, saying—Go, and make ready, for us, the passover, that we may eat.
9 Sie fragten ihn: "Wo sollen wir's bereiten?"
And, they, said unto him—Where wiliest thou, we should make ready?
10 Er antwortete ihnen: "Wenn ihr jetzt in die Stadt kommt, dann wird euch ein Mann begegnen, der einen irdenen Krug mit Wasser trägt. Dem folgt in das Haus, in das er geht,
And, he, said unto them—Lo! when ye have entered into the city, there will meet you a man, bearing, an earthen-jar of water: follow him into the house into which he is entering.
11 und sagt dem Hausherrn: 'Der Meister läßt dich fragen: Wo ist das Zimmer, in dem ich das Passahmahl mit meinen Jüngern halten kann?'
And ye shall say unto the master of the house—The teacher saith unto thee, where is the lodging, where, the passover, with my disciples, I may eat?
12 Dann wird er euch ein großes, mit Tischpolstern belegtes Oberzimmer zeigen; dort rüstet alles zu."
And, he, unto you, will shew, a large upper room, spread: there, make ready.
13 Sie gingen hin und fanden alles so, wie er ihnen gesagt hatte, und richteten die Passahmahlzeit her.
And, departing, they found according as he had said unto them, and made ready the passover.
14 Als die Stunde kam, nahm er bei Tisch Platz und die Apostel mit ihm.
And, when the hour arrived, he reclined, and the apostles with him.
15 Da sagte er zu ihnen: "Von Herzen habe ich mich danach gesehnt, dies Passahmahl mit euch zu halten, bevor ich leide.
And he said unto them—I have greatly desired, to eat, this passover, with you before I suffer;
16 Denn ich sage euch: Nie werde ich es wieder mit euch halten, bis es im Königreich Gottes seine volle Erfüllung findet."
For, I say unto you—In nowise shall I eat it, until it have been fulfilled in the kingdom of God.
17 Nun nahm er einen Becher (den man ihm reichte), sprach das Dankgebet und sagte: "Nehmt ihn und teilt ihn unter euch!
And, accepting a cup, giving thanks, he said—Take this, and divide among yourselves;
18 Denn ich sage euch: Ich will von dem Gewächs des Weinstocks ferner nicht mehr trinken, bis Gottes Königreich gekommen ist."
For, I say unto you—In nowise shall I drink henceforth of the fruit of the vine, until, the kingdom of God, shall come.
19 Dann nahm er ein Brot, sprach das Dankgebet, brach das Brot und gab es ihnen mit den Worten: "Das ist mein Leib, der zu euerm Heil hingegeben werden soll; tut dies zu meinem Gedächtnis!"
And, taking a loaf, he gave thanks, and brake, and gave unto them, saying—This is my body which in your behalf is being given: this, be ye doing, in remembrance, of me.
20 Ebenso nahm er nach dem Mahl auch den Kelch und sprach: "Dieser Kelch ist der neue Bund in meinem Blut, das zu euerm Heil vergossen werden soll.
And—the cup, in like manner, after the taking of supper, saying—This cup, is the new covenant in my blood, which, in your behalf, is to be poured out.
21 Doch mein Verräter hat jetzt mit mir seine Hand hier auf dem Tisch.
Nevertheless, lo! the hand of him who is delivering me up, is with me upon the table.
22 Der Menschensohn geht zwar zum Tod, wie es bestimmt ist; doch weh dem Menschen, durch den er verraten wird!"
Because, the Son of Man, indeed, according to what is marked out, goeth his way; nevertheless, alas! for that man through whom he is being delivered up.
23 Da begannen sie, miteinander darüber zu reden, wer von ihnen es wohl sein könnte, der das tun würde.
And, they, began to be enquiring together, among themselves, as to which, then, it could be, from among them, who, this thing, was about to perpetrate!
24 Es entstand auch unter ihnen ein Streit darüber, wer von ihnen als der Größte anzusehen sei.
And it came to pass that there was, a rivalry also, among them, as to which of them seemed to be greater [than the rest].
25 Da sagte Jesus zu ihnen: "Die Könige der Völker gebieten über ihre Untertanen, und die weltlichen Machthaber bekommen den Namen Wohltäter.
And, he, said unto them—The kings of the nations, lord it over them, and, they who wield authority over them, benefactors, are called.
26 Bei euch soll es nicht so sein. Im Gegenteil: der Älteste bei euch soll sich verhalten wie der Jüngste und der Gebieter wie der Diener.
But, ye, not so! On the contrary—the greater among you, Let him become as, the younger, and, he that governeth, as, he that ministereth,
27 Denn wer gilt mehr: wer am Mahl teilnimmt, oder wer dabei bedient? Nicht wahr: wer am Mahl teilnimmt? Ich aber nehme unter euch die Stelle eines Dieners ein.
For which is greater—he that reclineth? or he that ministereth? Is not he that reclineth? But, I, am, in your midst, as he that ministereth,
28 Ihr habt mit mir in meinen Anfechtungen ausgeharrt.
Ye, however, are they who have remained throughout with me in my temptations;
29 Darum vermache ich euch eine Königsherrschaft, wie sie mir mein Vater bestimmt hat:
And, I, covenant unto you—as my Father hath covenanted unto me—a kingdom,
30 ihr sollt in meinem Königreich an meiner Tafel essen und trinken; ja ihr sollt auf Thronen sitzen und die zwölf Stämme Israels als Herrscher leiten.
That ye may eat and drink, at my table, in my kingdom, and sit upon thrones, judging, the twelve tribes of Israel.
31 Simon, Simon! Sieh, der Satan hat Macht über euch gesucht, um euch zu sieben wie den Weizen.
Simon! Simon! lo! Satan, hath claimed you, to sift as wheat;
32 Ich aber habe für dich gebetet, damit dein Glaube nicht versiege. So stärke du denn, wenn du dich dereinst bekehrt hast, deine Brüder!"
But, I, have entreated for thee, that thy faith may not fail. And, thou, once thou hast turned, strengthen thy brethren.
33 Petrus aber sprach zu ihm: "Herr, mit dir bin ich bereit, sogar ins Gefängnis und in den Tod zu gehen."
But, he, said unto him—Lord! with thee, am I, ready, both into prison and unto death, to be going.
34 Jesus erwiderte: "Ich sage dir, Petrus: Heute noch vor dem Hahnenschrei wirst du dreimal leugnen, daß du mich kennst."
And, he, said: I tell thee, Peter—A cock will not crow this day, until, thrice, thou deny that thou knowest me.
35 Dann fuhr er fort: "Als ich euch ohne Geldbeutel, ohne Ranzen und Schuhe aussandte, hat euch da etwas gemangelt?" Sie antworteten: "Nein."
And he said unto them—When I sent you forth, without purse or satchel or sandals, of anything, came ye short? And, they, said—Of nothing!
36 "Doch jetzt", so sprach er weiter, "beginnt die Zeit, wo jeder, der Geld im Beutel oder einen Ranzen hat, beides mit sich nehmen soll. Und wer kein Schwert hat, der verkaufe seinen Mantel und kaufe sich ein Schwert dafür!
And he said unto them—But, now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, in like manner also, a satchel; and, he that hath nothing, let him sell his mantle, and buy a sword!
37 Denn ich sage euch: Auch dies Schriftwort muß sich noch an mir erfüllen: Er ist unter die Verbrecher gerechnet worden. Denn was mir bestimmt ist, das vollzieht sich jetzt."
For I say unto you—This that is written, must needs be completed in me, —And, with lawless ones, was he reckoned; for, even that which concerneth me, hath, completion.
38 Da sprachen sie: "Herr, hier sind zwei Schwerter." Er erwiderte: "Genug davon!"
And, they, said—Lord, lo! two swords, here! And, he, said unto them—’Tis, enough!
39 Dann verließ er die Stadt und begab sich, wie er oft zu tun pflegte, in der Begleitung seiner Jünger an den Ölberg.
And going out, he went, according to his custom, unto the Mount of Olives; and the disciples [also] followed him.
40 Als er dort ankam, sagte er zu ihnen: "Betet, damit ihr nicht in Versuchung fallt!"
And, coming up to the place, he said unto them—Be praying, lest ye enter into temptation.
41 Darauf entfernte er sich von ihnen etwa einen Steinwurf weit, beugte seine Knie und betete:
And, he, was torn from them about a stone’s throw; and, bending his knees, he began to pray,
42 "Vater, wenn du willst, laß diesen Kelch an mir vorübergehen; doch nicht mein, sondern dein Wille geschehe!"
saying—Father! if thou please, bear aside this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but thine, be accomplished.
43 Da erschien ihm ein Engel vom Himmel und stärkte ihn.
And there appeared unto him a messenger from heaven, strengthening him, —
44 In heißem Seelenkampf betete er dann noch ernstlicher, so daß sein Schweiß wie Tropfen dicken Blutes auf die Erde fiel.
and, coming to be in an agony, more intensely, was he praying; and his perspiration became, as if great drops of blood, falling upon the ground.
45 Als er von dem Gebet aufstand und zu seinen Jüngern kam, fand er sie vor Traurigkeit in Schlaf versunken.
And, arising from prayer, he came unto his disciples, and found them falling asleep by reason of their grief;
46 Da sagte er zu ihnen: "Was schlaft ihr? Steht auf und betet, damit ihr nicht in Versuchung fallt!"
and he said unto them—Why are ye slumbering? Arise! and be praying, lest ye enter into temptation.
47 Während er noch redete, kam plötzlich eine Schar von Leuten, und an ihrer Spitze ging einer von den Zwölfen mit Namen Judas. Der trat auf Jesus zu, um ihn zu küssen.
While yet he was speaking, lo! a multitude; and, he that was called Judas, one of the twelve, was leading them on, —and he drew near unto Jesus, to kiss him.
48 Jesus aber sprach zu ihm: "Judas, mit einem Kuß willst du den Menschensohn verraten?"
But, Jesus, said to him—Judas! with a kiss, the Son of Man, dost thou deliver up?
49 Als die Begleiter Jesu sahen, was da kommen würde, fragten sie: "Herr, sollen wir mit dem Schwert dreinschlagen?"
And they who were about him, seeing what would be, said—Lord! shall we smite with the sword?
50 Und einer von ihnen schlug nach des Hohenpriesters Knecht und hieb ihm das rechte Ohr ab.
And a certain one from among them smote, the High-priest’s, servant, and took off his right ear.
51 Jesus aber sprach: "Laß das! Nicht weiter!" Dann berührte er das Ohr des Knechtes und heilte ihn.
But Jesus, answering, said—Let be—as long as this! …And, touching the ear, he healed him.
52 Darauf sagte Jesus zu den Hohenpriestern, den Hauptleuten der Tempelwache und den Ältesten, die an ihn herangetreten waren: "Mit Schwertern und mit Knütteln seid ihr ausgezogen, als ginge es gegen einen Räuber?
And Jesus said unto the High-priests, and Captains of the temple, and Elders, who had come against him—As against a robber, have ye come out, with swords and clubs?
53 Ich bin doch Tag für Tag bei euch im Tempel gewesen, und da habt ihr nicht die Hände nach mir ausgestreckt. Aber dies ist eure Stunde; dies ist der Machtbereich der Finsternis."
Daily, was I with you, in the temple, and yet ye stretched not forth your hands against me! …But, this, is your hour, and the authority of darkness.
54 Nun ergriffen sie ihn und führten ihn weg. Sie brachten ihn in das Haus des Hohenpriesters. Petrus aber folgte von weitem.
And, having arrested him, they led him away, and took him into the house of the High-priest; and, Peter, was following afar.
55 Mitten im Hof hatten die Leute ein Feuer angezündet und sich zusammengesetzt. Auch Petrus nahm unter ihnen Platz.
And, they having kindled up a fire in the midst of the court, and taken seats together, Peter was for sitting among them.
56 Da sah ihn eine Magd am Feuer sitzen. Die blickte ihn scharf an und sagte: "Der hat auch zu ihm gehört!"
But, a certain maid-servant, seeing him seating himself towards the light, and looking steadfastly at him, said—This one also, was, with him.
57 Er aber verleugnete ihn und sprach: "Weib, ich kenne ihn nicht!"
But, he, denied, saying—I know him not, woman!
58 Nach einer kleinen Weile sah ihn ein anderer und sagte: "Auch du gehörst zu diesen Leuten!" Petrus aber antwortete: "Mensch, das ist nicht wahr!"
And, after a little, another, beholding him, said—Thou also, art, from among them. But, Peter, said—Man! I am not.
59 Nach Verlauf von etwa einer Stunde behauptete ein anderer: "Wahrhaftig, der hat auch zu ihm gehört; er ist ja auch ein Galiläer!"
And, about one hour having passed, a certain other, began stoutly to insist, saying—Of a truth, this one also, was with him; for indeed he is, a Galilaean.
60 Petrus aber erwiderte: "Mensch, ich verstehe nicht, was du von mir willst!" In demselben Augenblick, als er noch redete, krähte ein Hahn.
But Peter said—Man! I know not what thou art saying! And, instantly while yet he was speaking, a cock crew.
61 Da sah sich der Herr um und blickte Petrus an. Nun gedachte Petrus an das Wort des Herrn, wie er zu ihm gesagt hatte: "Heute noch vor dem Hahnenschrei wirst du mich dreimal verleugnen."
And the Lord turned, and looked at Peter; and Peter was put in mind of the declaration of the Lord, how he had said to him—Before, a cock, crow this day, thou wilt deny me thrice!
62 Und er ging hinaus und weinte bitterlich.
[And, going forth outside, he wept bitterly.]
63 Die Männer aber, die Jesus zu bewachen hatten, verspotteten und schlugen ihn;
And, the men who held him bound, kept mocking him, with blows;
64 sie verhüllten ihm das Angesicht und fragten ihn dann: "Zeig dich als Prophet! Sag: wer hat dich geschlagen?"
and, blindfolding him, questioned him, saying—Prophesy! which is he that smote thee?
65 Auch noch mit vielen anderen Lästerworten schmähten sie ihn.
and, many other things, with profane speech, were they saying unto him.
66 Als es Tag ward, versammelten sich die Ältesten des Volkes: die Hohenpriester und die Schriftgelehrten. Vor diesen ihren Rat führten sie Jesus
And, when it became day, the Eldership of the people was gathered together—both High-priests and Scribes, —and they led him away into their high-council, saying—If, thou, art the Christ, tell us!
67 und fragten ihn: "Bist du der Messias? Sag es uns!" Er erwiderte ihnen: "Wenn ich's euch auch sagte, ihr glaubtet es doch nicht;
But he said unto them—If I should tell, you, in nowise would ye believe,
68 und fragte ich euch, so gäbt ihr mir keine Antwort.
And, if I should put questions, in nowise would ye answer;
69 Von nun an aber wird der Menschensohn zur Rechten der Macht Gottes sitzen."
But, henceforth, shall the Son of Man be seated on the right hand of the power of God.
70 Da fragten alle: "Du bist also Gottes Sohn?" Er antwortete ihnen: "Jawohl, ich bin's!"
And they all said—Thou, then, art the Son of God? And, he, unto them said—Ye, say [it], —because, I, am.
71 Da sprachen sie: "Was brauchen wir noch Zeugen zu vernehmen? Wir haben es ja selbst aus seinem Mund gehört."
And, they, said—What, further, need have we, of witness? We ourselves, have heard it from his mouth.
