Lukas 10
1 Hierauf erwählte der Herr noch siebzig andere (Jünger) und sandte sie zu zweien vor sich her in alle Städte und Ortschaften, die er später selbst besuchen wollte.
THEN after these things the Lord appointed other seventy persons also, and sent them, two and two before his face, into every city and place, whither he himself designed to go.
2 Er sprach zu ihnen: "Die Ernte ist groß, aber der Arbeiter sind wenig. Darum bittet den Herrn der Ernte, daß er Arbeiter auf sein Erntefeld sende!
He said therefore unto them, The harvest indeed is plenteous, but the labourers few: pray ye therefore to the Lord of the harvest, that he would send out labourers into his harvest.
3 So zieht denn aus! Ich sende euch jetzt wie Lämmer mitten unter Wölfe.
Go forth! behold, I send you out as lambs in the midst of wolves.
4 Nehmt keinen Geldbeutel, keinen Ranzen, keine Schuhe mit und grüßt niemand unterwegs!
Carry neither purse, nor scrip, nor sandals: and stay to salute no man on the road.
5 Bei euerm Eintritt in ein Haus sei euer erstes Wort: 'Friede sei mit diesem Haus!'
And into whatever house ye enter, first say, Peace be to this house.
6 Wohnt einer darin, der den Frieden liebt, so soll der Friede, den ihr wünscht, auf ihm ruhen; wenn nicht, so fällt der Friedensgruß auf euch zurück.
And if the Son of peace be there, your peace shall rest upon it; but if not, it shall return back to you again.
7 In jenem Haus bleibt dann, eßt und trinkt, was sie haben! Denn der Arbeiter ist seines Lohnes wert. Geht nicht von einem Haus in ein anderes!
And in the same family abide, eating and drinking such as they have: for the labourer is worthy of his hire. Go not about from house to house.
8 Kommt ihr in eine Stadt und man nimmt euch auf, so eßt, was man euch vorsetzt!
And into whatsoever city ye enter, and they welcome you, eat whatever is set before you:
9 Heilt die Kranken, die dort sind, und sagt den Bewohnern: 'Gottes Königreich ist euch genaht!'
and heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.
10 Kommt ihr aber in eine Stadt und man nimmt euch nicht auf, so geht hinaus auf ihre freien Plätze und sprecht:
And into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you not, go out into the streets of it, and say,
11 'Sogar den Staub, der sich aus eurer Stadt an unsere Füße geheftet hat, den wischen wir ab, damit ihr ihn behaltet. Das eine aber sollt ihr wissen: Gottes Königreich ist nahe herbeigekommen!'
Even the dust of your city, which sticks to us, we shake off against you: nevertheless this know, that the kingdom of God is come near to you.
12 Ich sage euch: Es wird Sodom an jenem Tag erträglicher gehen als einer solchen Stadt.
Now I tell you, that it shall be more tolerable for Sodom in that day, than for that city.
13 Weh dir, Chorazin! Wehe dir, Bethsaida! Denn wären in Tyrus und Sidon die Wundertaten geschehen, die in euch geschehen sind, sie hätten sich schon längst, in Sack und Asche sitzend, bekehrt.
Wo to thee Chorazin! wo to thee Bethsaida! for if the miracles which have been done in thee, had been done in Tyre and Sidon, long ago sitting in sackcloth and ashes, would they have repented.
14 Doch es wird Tyrus und Sidon im Gericht erträglicher gehen als euch.
But it shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the judgment than for you.
15 Und du, Kapernaum, meinst du vielleicht, du wirst bis zum Himmel erhoben? In die Tiefe der Unterwelt sollst du hinabgestürzt werden! (Hadēs g86)
And thou Capernaum, which hast been lifted up to heaven, shalt be cast down to hell. (Hadēs g86)
16 Wer euch hört, der hört mich; und wer euch verwirft, der verwirft mich. Wer aber mich verwirft, der verwirft den, der mich gesandt hat."
He that heareth you, heareth me; and he that despiseth you, despiseth me; and he that despiseth me, despiseth Him that sent me.
17 Bei ihrer Rückkehr berichteten die Siebzig voller Freude: "Herr, sogar die bösen Geister gehorchen uns, wenn wir deinen Namen aussprechen."
Then the seventy returned with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject to us through thy name.
18 Er antwortete ihnen: "Ja, ich sah den Satan wie einen Blitz vom Himmel fallen.
And he said unto them, I beheld Satan falling as lightning from heaven.
19 Seht, ich habe euch die Macht verliehen, über Schlangen und Skorpione dahinzuschreiten und das ganze Heer des Feindes zu besiegen, so daß euch kein Schade treffen wird.
Behold, I give you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy; and nothing shalt in any wise hurt you.
20 Doch freut euch nicht darüber, daß euch die Geister gehorchen; freut euch vielmehr darüber, daß eure Namen im Himmel eingetragen sind!"
Nevertheless, in this rejoice not, that the spirits are made subject to you; but rejoice rather, that your names are inscribed in the heavens.
21 In jener Stunde rief Jesus, erfüllt vom Heiligen Geist, in lautem Jubel aus: "Ich preise dich, o Vater, Herr des Himmels und der Erde, daß du dies den Weisen und Verständigen verborgen und es den Einfältigen offenbart hast. Ja, Vater, so hat dir's gefallen!
In the same hour Jesus exulted in spirit, and said, I ascribe glory to thee, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and intelligent, and hast revealed them to babes: be it so, O Father! since such is thy good pleasure.
22 Alles ist mir von meinem Vater übergeben worden, und niemand weiß, wer der Sohn ist, als nur der Vater, und wer der Vater ist, als nur der Sohn und der, dem der Sohn es offenbaren will."
All things are given up to me by my Father: and no man knoweth who is the Son, but the Father; and who is the Father, but the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son is pleased to reveal him.
23 Dann sprach er, nur zu den Jüngern gewandt: "Selig sind die Augen, die das sehen, was ihr seht!
Then turning to the disciples, he said privately, Blessed are the eyes which see the things which ye see:
24 Denn ich sage euch: Viele Propheten und Könige haben gewünscht zu sehen, was ihr seht, und haben es nicht gesehen, und zu hören, was ihr hört, und haben es nicht gehört."
for I tell you, that many prophets and kings have desired to see the things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear the things which ye hear, and have not heard them.
25 Da erhob sich ein Gesetzeslehrer, der ihm eine Falle stellen wollte, und fragte ihn: "Meister, was muß ich tun, um ewiges Leben zu erlangen?" (aiōnios g166)
And, behold, a certain doctor of the law arose, to make trial of him, saying, Master, by doing what shall I inherit eternal life? (aiōnios g166)
26 Jesus sprach zu ihm: "Was steht im Gesetz geschrieben? Wie liest du dort?"
And he said unto him, What is written in the law? How readest thou?
27 Er antwortete: "Du sollst den Herrn, deinen Gott, lieben mit ganzem Herzen, mit ganzer Seele, mit aller Kraft und mit allem Denken und deinen Nächsten wie dich selbst."
And he answering said, “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might, and with all thy understanding, and thy neighbour as thyself.”
28 Jesus sprach zu ihm: "Deine Antwort ist ganz richtig; tue das, so wirst du leben."
And he said unto him, Thou hast answered rightly: this do, and thou shalt live.
29 Doch der Gesetzeslehrer wollte sich (wegen seiner Frage) rechtfertigen und sprach deshalb zu Jesus: "Wer ist denn mein Nächster?"
Then he, desirous to make himself appear a righteous person, said unto Jesus, And who is my neighbour?
30 Da erwiderte Jesus: "Ein Mann ging von Jerusalem hinab nach Jericho. Auf seiner Wanderung fiel er Räubern in die Hände. Die plünderten ihn aus, schlugen ihn blutig, ließen ihn halbtot liegen und gingen dann davon.
Then Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among robbers, who, when they had both stripped him, and covered him with wounds, got off, leaving him half dead.
31 Nun kam zufällig ein Priester jenes Weges; der sah den Mann, aber er ging vorüber.
And it so fell out, that a certain priest went down that way, and seeing him, he kept the opposite side of the road.
32 Ebenso kam ein Levit dorthin; der sah ihn und ging auch an ihm vorüber.
And a Levite also, in the same way, being near the place, came, and seeing him, kept the opposite side of the road.
33 Dann kam ein Samariter, der auf Reisen war, an die Stätte. Als der den Mann erblickte, ward er von Mitgefühl ergriffen:
But a certain Samaritan travelling, came by him, and seeing him, was moved with compassion,
34 er trat hinzu, goß Öl und Wein in seine Wunden und verband sie ihm. Dann setzte er ihn auf sein Reittier, führte ihn in ein Gasthaus und pflegte ihn.
and coming up to him, bound up his wounds, after pouring on them oil and wine; then setting him on his own beast, he led him to an inn, and took particular care of him.
35 Am anderen Morgen zog er zwei Silberlinge aus seinem Beutel, gab sie dem Wirt und sagte: 'Pflege ihn; und was du sonst noch ausgibst, das will ich dir bei meiner Rückkehr ersetzen.'
And on the morrow, as he was departing, he took out of his purse two denarii, and gave them to the innkeeper, and said to him, Take great care of him; and whatever farther expence may be incurred, when I return, I will repay thee.
36 Wer von diesen dreien hat nun nach deiner Meinung als Nächster an dem Mann gehandelt, der den Räubern in die Hände fiel?"
Which then of these three do you suppose to be the neighbour of him who fell into the robbers’ hands?
37 Der Gesetzeslehrer erwiderte: "Der Barmherzigkeit an ihm bewiesen hat." Da sprach Jesus zu ihm: "Geh hin und handle du ebenso!"
And he said, He that shewed mercy towards him. Then said Jesus to him, Go, and do thou exactly the same.
38 Als sie weiterwanderten, kam er in ein Dorf. Dort nahm ihn eine Frau mit Namen Martha in ihr Haus auf.
And it came to pass, as they were travelling, that he entered into a certain village; and a woman, named Martha, received him into her house.
39 Sie hatte eine Schwester, die hieß Maria. Die lauschte, zu des Herrn Füßen sitzend, auf seine Unterweisung.
And she had a sister called Mary, who sitting down also at the feet of Jesus, hearkened to his discourse.
40 Martha aber machte sich viel zu schaffen, um ihn reichlich zu bewirten. Und sie trat zu Jesus und sprach: "Herr, kannst du es ruhig mitansehen, daß mich meine Schwester alles allein besorgen läßt? Sag ihr doch, sie solle mir helfen!"
But Martha was hurrying about to provide a large entertainment, and coming up to him, she said, Lord, is it no concern to thee, that my sister hath left me to make the whole provision by myself? bid her therefore to assist me.
41 Der Herr aber antwortete ihr: "Martha, Martha, du sorgst und mühst dich um vielerlei.
But Jesus answering said to her, Martha, Martha, thou art anxious and disturbing thyself about many things.
42 Aber nur wenig ist not. Denn Maria hat sich das beste Teil erwählt; das soll ihr nicht genommen werden."
But of one thing there is need: and Mary hath made her election of that good portion, which shall not be taken away from her.
