Johannes 1
1 Im Anfang (aller Dinge) war bereits das Wort; das Wort war eng vereint mit Gott, ja göttliches Wesen hatte das Wort.
In the beginnynge was the worde and the worde was with God: and the worde was God.
2 Dies war im Anfang eng vereint mit Gott.
The same was in the beginnynge with God.
3 Alle Dinge sind durch das Wort erschaffen, und nichts ist ohne seine Wirksamkeit geworden.
All thinges were made by it and with out it was made nothinge that was made.
4 Die ganze Schöpfung ist erfüllt mit seinem Leben, und dieses Leben war das Licht der Menschen.
In it was lyfe and the lyfe was ye lyght of men
5 Das Licht scheint (auch noch immer) in der Finsternis, denn von der Finsternis ist es nicht überwunden.
and the lyght shyneth in the darcknes but the darcknes comprehended it not.
6 Ein Mann trat auf, von Gott gesandt, sein Name war Johannes.
There was a man sent from God whose name was Iohn.
7 Der kam, um Zeugnis abzulegen: er sollte zeugen von dem Licht, damit sie alle durch ihn zum Glauben kämen.
The same cam as a witnes to beare witnes of the lyght that all men through him myght beleve.
8 Er war nicht selbst das Licht; er hatte nur den Auftrag zu zeugen von dem Licht.
He was not that lyght: but to beare witnes of the lyght.
9 Das wahre Licht, das da erleuchtet jeden Menschen, war Er, der kommen sollte in die Welt.
That was a true lyght which lyghteth all men that come into the worlde.
10 Er war (schon) in der Welt, und durch ihn ist die Welt geworden, und dennoch hat die Welt ihn nicht erkannt.
He was in ye worlde and the worlde was made by him: and yet the worlde knewe him not.
11 Er kam in sein Eigentum, die Seinen aber nahmen ihn nicht auf.
He cam amonge his (awne) and his awne receaved him not.
12 Doch allen, die ihn aufgenommen haben, und die nun gläubig sind an seinen Namen, hat er verliehen dies Vorrecht, daß sie Gottes Kinder werden.
But as meny as receaved him to them he gave power to be the sonnes of God in yt they beleved on his name:
13 Nicht aus Geblüt der Menschen, auch nicht aus Fleischestrieb und Manneswillen, vielmehr durch Gottes Wirksamkeit ward er gezeugt.
which were borne not of bloude nor of the will of the flesshe nor yet of the will of man: but of God.
14 So ist das Wort einst Fleisch geworden und hat für eine Weile unter uns gewohnt. Wir haben seine Herrlichkeit geschaut, ja eine Herrlichkeit, wie sie ein einziger Sohn empfängt von seinem Vater: voller Gnade und Wahrheit.
And the worde was made flesshe and dwelt amonge vs and we sawe the glory of it as the glory of the only begotten sonne of ye father which worde was full of grace and verite.
15 Johannes zeugt von ihm und ruft: "Ihn habe ich gemeint, als ich einst sagte: 'Der nach mir kommt, ist mir voraus; denn er war eher da als ich.'"
Iohn bare witnes of him and cryed sayinge: This was he of whome I spake he that cometh after me was before me because he was yer then I.
16 Aus seiner Fülle haben wir ja alle empfangen Gnade um Gnade.
And of his fulnes have all we receaved even (grace) for grace.
17 Denn das Gesetz ward dargereicht durch Mose; die Gnade und die Wahrheit, sie sind gebracht durch Jesus Christus.
For the lawe was geven by Moses but grace and truthe came by Iesus Christ.
18 Kein Mensch hat jemals Gott gesehen. Der eingeborene Sohn, der in des Vaters Schoß zurückgekehrt, der hat ihn offenbart.
No ma hath sene God at eny tyme. The only begotte sonne which is in ye bosome of ye father he hath declared him.
19 Dies ist das Zeugnis, das Johannes ablegte, als die Juden eine Abordnung von Priestern und Leviten aus Jerusalem zu ihm sandten, um ihn zu fragen, wer er sei.
And this is the recorde of Iohn: When the Iewes sent Prestes and Levites from Ierusalem to axe him what arte thou?
20 Da legte er ein unumwundenes Bekenntnis ab; er erklärte: "Ich bin nicht der Messias."
And he confessed and denyed not and sayde playnly: I am not Christ.
21 Sie fragten ihn weiter: "Was bist du denn? Bist du Elia?" Er sprach: "Ich bin es nicht." "Bist du der (verheißene) Prophet?" Er antwortete: "Nein."
And they axed him: what then? arte thou Helyas? And he sayde: I am not. Arte thou a Prophete? And he answered no.
22 Da sagten sie zu ihm: "Wer bist du denn? Wir müssen doch denen, die uns gesandt haben, eine Antwort bringen. Wofür gibst du selbst dich aus?"
Then sayd they vnto him: what arte thou that we maye geve an answer to them that sent vs: What sayest thou of thy selfe?
23 Er erwiderte: "Ich bin eine Stimme, die in der Wüste ruft: 'Ebnet dem Herrn dem Weg!' wie der Prophet Jesaja gesagt hat."
He sayde: I am the voyce of a cryar in the wyldernes make strayght the waye of the Lorde as sayde the Prophete Esaias.
24 Die Abgesandten aber gehörten zu den Pharisäern.
And they which were sent were of the pharises.
25 Und sie fragten ihn weiter: "Warum taufst du denn, wenn du weder der Messias bist noch Elia noch der (verheißene) Prophet?"
And they axed him and sayde vnto him: why baptisest thou then yf thou be not Christ nor Helyas nether a Prophet?
26 Johannes erwiderte ihnen: "Ich taufe nur mit Wasser; doch mitten unter euch steht der, den ihr nicht kennt:
Iohn answered them sayinge: I baptise with water: but one is come amonge you whom ye knowe not
27 das ist der Mann, der nach mir kommt, und dessen Schuhriemen aufzulösen ich nicht würdig bin."
he it is that cometh after me whiche was before me whose sho latchet I am not worthy to vnlose.
28 Dies geschah in Bethanien jenseits des Jordans, wo Johannes taufte.
These thinges were done in Bethabara beyonde Iordan where Iohn dyd baptyse.
29 Tags darauf sah er Jesus auf sich zukommen. Da sprach er: "Seht, dies ist Gottes Lamm, das die Sünde der Welt hinwegnimmt!
The nexte daye Iohn sawe Iesus commyge vnto him and sayde: beholde the lambe of God which taketh awaye the synne of the worlde.
30 Dieser ist es, von dem ich einst gesagt habe: 'Nach mir kommt ein Mann, der mir voraus ist; denn er war eher da als ich.'
This is he of whom I sayde. After me cometh a man which was before me for he was yer then I
31 Auch ich habe ihn anfangs nicht gekannt; damit er aber für Israel offenbar werde, deshalb bin ich aufgetreten mit der Wassertaufe."
and I knew him not: but that he shuld be declared to Israell therfore am I come baptisynge with water.
32 Johannes legte noch dies Zeugnis ab: "Ich habe gesehen, daß der Geist wie eine Taube aus dem Himmel herniederschwebte, und er blieb auf ihm.
And Iohn bare recorde sayinge: I sawe the sprete descende from heven lyke vnto a dove and abyde apon him
33 Aber ich kannte ihn damals noch nicht. Doch er, der mich gesandt hat, um mit Wasser zu taufen, der sprach zu mir: 'Der Mann, auf den du den Geist herniederschweben siehst, so daß er auf ihm bleibt, der ist der Täufer mit dem Heiligen Geist.'
and I knewe him not. But he that sent me to baptise in water the same sayde vnto me: apon whom thou shalt se the sprete descende and tary styll on him the same is he which baptiseth with the holy goost.
34 Das habe ich gesehen, und nun ist mein Zeugnis: 'Dieser ist Gottes Sohn.'"
And I sawe and bare recorde that this is the sonne of God.
35 Tags darauf stand Johannes wieder da mit Zweien seiner Jünger.
The next daye after Iohn stode agayne and two of his disciples.
36 Da sah er Jesus vorübergehen und sprach: "Seht, dies ist Gottes Lamm!"
And he behelde Iesus as he walked by and sayde: beholde the lambe of God.
37 Die beiden Jünger hörten diese Worte und gingen Jesus nach.
And the two disciples hearde him speake and folowed Iesus.
38 Da wandte sich Jesus um, und als er sah, wie sie ihm folgten, sprach er zu ihnen: "Was wünscht ihr?" sie antworteten ihm: "Rabbi" — dies Wort bedeutet: Meister —, "wo hältst du dich auf?"
And Iesus turned about and sawe them folowe and sayde vnto them: what seke ye? They sayde vnto him: Rabbi (which is to saye by interpretacion Master) where dwellest thou?
39 Er erwiderte ihnen: "Kommt mit, dann werdet ihr es sehen." Sie kamen mit und sahen, wo er wohnte, und blieben den Tag über bei ihm. Das war um die zehnte Stunde.
He sayde vnto them: come and se. They came and sawe where he dwelt: and abode with him that daye. For it was about the tenthe houre.
40 Andreas, der Bruder des Simon Petrus, war einer von den beiden, die Jesus auf das Wort des Johannes folgten.
One of the two which hearde Iohn speake and folowed Iesus was Andrew Simon Peters brother.
41 Der traf zuerst seinen Bruder Simon und sprach zu ihm: "Wir haben den Messias gefunden" — dies Wort bedeutet: Gesalbter —.
The same founde his brother Simon fyrst and sayde vnto him: we have founde Messias which is by interpretacion annoynted:
42 Er führte ihn dann zu Jesus. Jesus sah ihn an und sagte: "Du bist Simon, des Johannes Sohn; du sollst Kephas heißen" — das bedeutet: Fels —.
and brought him to Iesus. And Iesus behelde him and sayde: thou arte Simon the sonne of Ionas thou shalt be called Cephas: which is by interpretacion a stone.
43 Tags darauf wollte Jesus nach Galiläa ziehen. Da traf er Philippus und sprach zu ihm: "Folge mir!"
The daye folowynge Iesus wolde goo into Galile and founde Philip and sayde vnto him folowe me.
44 Philippus stammte aus Bethsaida, dem Heimatort des Andreas und Petrus.
Philip was of Bethsaida the cite of Andrew and Peter.
45 Philippus traf Nathanael und sprach zu ihm: "Ihn, von dem Mose im Gesetz geschrieben und von dem die Propheten geredet, ihn haben wir gefunden. Es ist Jesus, Josefs Sohn, ein Mann aus Nazareth."
And Philip founde Nathanael and sayde vnto him. We have founde him of whom Moses in the lawe and the prophetes dyd wryte. Iesus the sonne of Ioseph of Nazareth.
46 Nathanael sprach zu ihm: "Kann aus Nazaret etwas Gutes kommen?" Philippus antwortete ihm: "Komm mit und überzeuge dich!"
And Nathanael sayde vnto him: can ther eny good thinge come out of Nazareth? Philip sayde to him: come and se.
47 Als Jesus sah, wie Nathanael auf ihn zukam, sagte er von ihm: "Seht, das ist wirklich ein Israelit, in dem keine Unaufrichtigkeit ist!"
Iesus sawe Nathanael commynge to him and sayde of him. Beholde a ryght Israelite in who is no gyle.
48 Nathanael sprach zu ihm: "Woher kennst du mich?" Jesus antwortete ihm: "Noch ehe dich Philippus herrief, sah ich dich, wie du unter dem Feigenbaum warst."
Nathanael sayd vnto him: where knewest thou me? Iesus answered and sayde vnto him: Before that Philip called the when thou wast vnder ye fygge tree I sawe the.
49 Nathanael erwiderte ihm: "Meister, du bist Gottes Sohn, du bist der König Israels!"
Nathanael answered and sayde vnto him: Rabbi thou arte the sonne of God thou arte the kynge of Israel.
50 Jesus entgegnete ihm: "Glaubst du, weil ich dir gesagt habe, daß ich dich unter dem Feigenbaum gesehen? Du sollst noch Größeres erleben als dies."
Iesus answered and sayd vnto him: Because I sayde vnto the I sawe the vnder the fygge tree thou belevest. Thou shalt se greater thinges then these.
51 Dann fuhr er fort: "Wahrlich, wahrlich, ich sage euch: Ihr sollt den Himmel offen sehen und die Engel Gottes hinauffahren und herabsteigen über dem Menschensohn."
And he sayde vnto him: Verely verely I saye vnto you: herafter shall ye se heven open and the angels of God ascendynge and descendynge over the sonne of man.
