< Titosas 1 >

1 Xoossas doretidayta amanoninne tumu ayanan kallethiza tumma eratethan dichanamala Xoossa aylene Yesus Kirstosape kitetida Phawulosape.
Paul, a servant of God—an apostle moreover of Jesus Christ, —according to the faith of the chosen ones of God, and the personal knowledge of the truth that is according to godliness, —
2 Iza amanoyinne eratethay kaasepe ooykidi wordotonta Goday daro wodeppe kasse ba imida medhina deyo ufaysa malakko. (aiōnios g166)
In hope of life age-abiding; which God, who cannot lie, promised before age-during times, (aiōnios g166)
3 Izi kasse gidamala nuna ashida Xoossa azazon hadara imetida sabakon ba qaala qonccisides.
but hath manifested in its fitting seasons, even his word, in the proclamation with which entrusted am I—by injunction of our Saviour God:
4 Nus kothe gidida tumu amanon ta na Titosas “Xoossa aawape nuna ashida Yesus Kiristossape kiiyatethane sarotethi nes giido.
Unto Titus, my true child according to a common faith, —favour and peace, from God [our] Father and Christ Jesus our Saviour.
5 Ta nena qarxxesen agiday burope giigana bessiza daro mishi diza gish ne gigsanamalane ta nena azazidamala katamay dizason wossa keeththa ciimata ne doranasa.
For this cause left I thee in Crete, that, the things remaining undone, thou mightest completely set in order, and mightest establish, in every city, elders, as, I, with thee arranged: —
6 Cmatethan doristanayti ista bolla boroy bayndayta, isi machi azinata, nayti amanizaytane waysontayta woykko azazetiza nayta awata gideto.
If anyone is unaccusable, a husband of, one wife, having children that believe, who are not charged with riotous excess, nor insubordinate;
7 Wossa keeththa ciimay Xoossas oothana hadara ekidade gididamala iza bolla wothay bayndade gidanas beses. Hesiikka ceqetizade, gutha miishan ylotizadene mathotizade, ushanchanne izas besonta ogera go7a gididaz godi eki bizade gidanas besena.
For it is needful that the overseer be—unaccusable, as God’s steward, not self-willed, not soon angry, not given to wine, not ready to wound, not seeking gain by base means,
8 Hesafe bollara izi imath makiizade loo7o ootho dosizade berka bena hariizade sure as xiilone bes nagetizade gidanas beses.
But hospitable, a lover of what is good, sober-minded, just, kind, possessing self-control,
9 Hara asata loo7o timrten miithethzadenne he loo7o timirteza ixizayta hanqanas ba tamaridamala qalan minizade gidanas beses.
Holding fast, in the matter of his teaching, the faithful word, that he may be able both to encourage with his healthful instruction, and, the gainsayers, to refute.
10 Waysizaytine dunan xalala balethzayti daroti detes; harapekka heyti qaxaretida Ayhuda asatape ammanida asata bagatakko.
For there are many unruly men, vain talkers and deceivers, especially they of the circumcision, —
11 Heytanta co77u histethi beses. Gaasoyka isti besonta oogera bes go7a demanas besonta timrte tamarson keeththa asa wursi moron detes.
Whose mouths must needs be stopped, men who are upsetting whole houses, teaching the things which ought not [to be taught] —for the sake of base gain.
12 Ista Nabistappe isadey ista gish hasa7ishe “Qarxesa asay wuriso wode wordanchatane ita do7ota ganjjemane azalata” giides. f/ nabeza sunthi Epimenidese.
Said one from among them, a prophet, of their own!—Cretans! always false, mischievous wild-beasts, idle gluttons:
13 He markatethay tumu hessa gish ne ista loo7etha hanqista. Hesikka ista tumma amanoy danamalasa.
This witness, is true, —for which cause, be reproving them sharply, that they may be healthy in their faith,
14 Ayhuddata haysu7e woykko tumu yooppe hakida asata azazo isti siyopetto.
Not giving heed to Judaical stories and commandments of men who are turning away from the truth:
15 Geshatas mishi wurikka geshsha shin tuatasinne amnontaytas gidikko wurikka tunakko. Harapekka ista qohaaththaaykka wurikka tunides.
All things, are pure, unto the pure, but, unto the polluted and faithless, nothing, is pure, but polluted are both their mind and conscience;
16 Isti bena nu Xoosu eros getes shin ba hanotethan dikokka gidiko kadetes. Isti shunizayta, azazetontaytanne loo7o oothos besontaytakko.
God, they confess that they know, but, by their works, they deny him, being, abominable, and obdurate, and, as to any good work, found, worthless.
