1 Histin nu ay giinoo? Xoossa kiyatethi darana mala nagara gujji othinoo?
What then shall we say? Should we continue in sin so that grace may abound?
2 Mulekka gidenna. Nuni nagaras hayqidosu. Histin hayssafe guye nu waani nagaran daanee?
Certainly not! How can we who have died to sin still live in it?
3 Nuni Yesusi Kiristoosara issino gidana mala xamaqetidayti iza hayqon nu issife gidanas xamaqetidayssa hayssa inte ereketii?
Or do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus have been baptized into his death?
4 Hessa gishshi Kiristoosay ba Aawa bonchon hayqoppe denddida mala nunikka hessaththo ooratha deyon daanas xinqqaten hayqqidi izara moogetidosd.
Therefore we were buried with him through baptism into death, so that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.
5 Nuni hessa mala hayqon izara isife gidikko qasse denithanka izara isife gidosu.
For if we have become united with him in the likeness of his death, we will certainly also be united with him in the likeness of his resurrection.
6 Hayssafe guye nu nagarasi aylle gidontta mala nagara asatethay kiichana mala kase nu ceea asatethay izara isife kaqetidayssa nu erosu.
For we know that our old self has been crucified with him so that the body of sin might be done away with, and we might no longer be enslaved to sin.
7 Gaasoykka hayqida asi nagarape shemipidis.
For he who has died has been set free from sin.
8 Nuni Kiristoosara hayqidayti gidikko nu izara isife danaysa ammanosu.
Now if we have died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him.
9 Kiristoosay hayqope denidida gishshi nam7antho izi hayqonitaysanne iza bolla hayqossa wolqay bayndayssa nu erosu.
For we know that Christ, having been raised from the dead, dies no more; death no longer has dominion over him.
10 Izi hayqida wode isito wursi nagara gishshi hayqides. Gida attin Xoossas paaxa dusu dees.
For the death that he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life that he lives, he lives to God.
11 Hessaththoka inte nagaras hayqidi Xoossas Yesus Kiristoosa baggara paxxa dizaysa erite.
So you also must consider yourselves to be dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
12 Hessa gishshi iitta oothana koyza iitta asho qofa koydi hayqida inte asatetha bolla nagaray kawotana mala oothofite.
Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal bodies so that you obey it in the body's sinful desires.
13 Inte asatetha iitta ootho oothiza mishi oothi nagaras harisopite. Hessa mala oothanape hayqope gede deyon pinida asata mala intena Xoossa harisite. Inte asatetha xiillotetha miishsha mala Xoossas harisite.
And do not present your members to sin as instruments of unrighteousness, but present yourselves to God as alive from the dead, and present your members to God as instruments of righteousness.
14 Inte Xoossa kiiyatetha garisan deista attiin woga garisan dontta gishshi intena nagaray haarena.
For sin will have no dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.
15 Histin aazi oothinoo? wogaa garisan gidontta nuni Xoossa kiyatetha garisan diza gishshi nagara oothonoo? mule oothanaas bessena.
What then? Should we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Certainly not!
16 Inte intena aylle mala shiishshiza wode inte azazetizades aylle gididayssa ereista. Hessaththoka gede hayqokko efiza nagaras woykko xiilotethako gathiza azazetethas inte aylle gididayssa ereketii?
Do you not know that when you present yourselves to someone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one whom you obey, either of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness?
17 Inte kasse nagaras ayllista gidikko intes imettida timiritezas inte wozanappe azazetida gishshi Xoossi galateto.
But thanks be to God that, though you were slaves of sin, you have become obedient from the heart to the pattern of teaching to which you were entrusted,
18 Inte nagarape wozetidi xiillotethas aylle gididista.
and having been set free from sin, you have become slaves to righteousness.
19 Hayssa ta asa qaalan intes qonccen yootizay inte Yeletethan daburanicha gidida gishshikko. Inte kase wode inte asatetha aylletethasine kassepe adhi iittana mala oothi immista shin ha7i qasse gede geeshatethako efiza xiillotethes aylle hisiti haarisite.
(I am speaking in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh.) For just as you presented your members as slaves to impurity and to lawlessness leading to more lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves to righteousness leading to sanctification.
20 Inte kasse nagarasi aylletidi diza wode inte xiillotethafe mella atidista shin.
For when you were slaves of sin, you were free with regard to righteousness.
21 Ha7i qasse inte yelatiza miishshatape he wode ay go7a demmidetii? Hessa he hanoza go7ay hayqoko.
So what fruit did you have at that time from the things of which you are now ashamed? The end result of those things is death.
22 Ha7i qasse inte nagarape wozetidi Xoossa ayllista gididista. Hessikka Intena gede geeshatethako kallethes. wurisethaykka medhina deyoko. (aiōnios )
But now that you have been set free from sin and become slaves of God, you have fruit that leads to sanctification, and the end result is eternal life. (aiōnios )
23 Nagara waagay hayqokko. Xoossa immotay gidiko Goda Yesus Kiristoosa baggara medhiina deyoko. (aiōnios )
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. (aiōnios )
