< Revelation 5 >
1 He alga bolla uttidayssa oshacha kushen qaa7a garisanine bolla baggara xaafeti uttida laapun matafan gordettida issi xaaxeti uttida maxaafa beyadis.
And I saw upon the right hand of Him who sat on the throne a scroll, written inside and outside, sealed with seven seals.
2 Issi mino kiitancha dayssi gita qaalara “Hayssa matamista birshidi ha Xoossa maxaafa doyanas bessiza uray onee?” gi hasa7ishin beyadis.
And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, “Who is worthy to open the scroll and to break its seals?”
3 Gido attini salonika gidin woykko biitta bolla woykko biittafe garisa bagganka he Xoossa maxaafa doydi iza gido gelanas xeellanas danda7ida uray oonikka bettibeyna.
And no one in heaven or on earth or under the earth was able to open the scroll or to look at it.
4 Taka he Xoossa maxaafa birishidi iza giddo xeellanas bessizadey bettontta aggida gishshi daro yekadis.
And I began to really weep, because no one was found worthy to open and read the scroll, or to look at it.
5 Hessa wode chimatape issadey taas “Ne yeekopa! heko Ayhudata bagga gidida Dawite zarkefe dendida gaamoy izi kase xoonides. Izi he Xoossa maxaafazane laapun matameza doyanas danda7es” gides.
So one of the elders says to me: “Stop weeping! Look! The Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the scroll and its seven seals.”
6 Hessafe guye alga bollane oyddu do7ata gidon he cimata gidonka shukettida dorisa milatizayssi eqqidayssa beyadis. He dorisazas laapun kaceyne laapun ayfey dess. He ayfetika kumetha alame kiitettida Xoossa ayana laapunatakko.
And I saw in the midst of the throne and of the four living beings, and in the midst of the elders, a Lamb standing—as if slaughtered, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth.
7 He dorisay yiidine alga bolla uttidayssa, oshacha kushen diza Xoossa maxaafa ekides.
And He went and took it out of the right hand of the One sitting on the throne!
8 He Xoossa maxaafaza ekkida mala oyddu do7atine nam7u tammane oyddu cimati he dorisa sinthan ba liiphon gufannida. Isttika issadey ba kushen diitha mala miishi oykidida. Hessaththoka geeshata woossa gidida izan exaney kumida worqa xaaro ba kushen oykki dettes.
And when He took the scroll the four living beings and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each having harps and golden bowls full of incenses, which are the prayers of the saints.
9 Ooratha yeth hizgi yexxida “Neni asa duma duma kochafe, duma duma qaalan hasa7izaytape, duma duma qommofene duma duma derepe Xoossas wozanas ne shukettida gishshi he Xoossa maxaafaza ekkanasine matamistaka doyanas bessizade gidadasa.
And they sing a new song saying: “You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals; because You were slaughtered, and have redeemed us to God by your blood out of every tribe and language and people and ethnic nation;
10 Ne istta nu Godaa Xoossaas qessistane kawota histadasa. Isttika biitta bolla kawotana.
and You have made them kings and priests to our God, and they will reign on the earth.”
11 Tani gede zaara xeellishin he alganza, do7atane cimata yuuyi adhdhida daro kiitanchata qaala giireth siyadis. Isttas darotethay daro shiyanine daro miliyonen qoodettes.
And I looked, and I heard as it were the voice of many angels, around the throne and the living beings and the elders. And their number was ten thousand times ten thousand and a thousand thousands,
12 Istti daro gita qaalan “Ha shukettida dorisay wolqa, dureteth, erateth, minoteth, gitateth, bonchone galata ekkanas besses” gida.
saying with a great voice: “Worthy is the Lamb who was slaughtered to receive the power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and blessing!”
13 Salonka biitta bollaka, biittafe garisanka, abba giddon diza medhetetha wurison “Alga bolla uttidayssasine dorisas galatayne dhoqateth, bonchoyne wolqay medhinape medhina gakkanaas izas gido!” gishin ta siyadis. (aiōn )
And every creature which is in the heaven and upon the earth and under the earth, and upon the sea (the existing places and the creatures in them)—I heard them all saying: “To Him who sits upon the throne and to the Lamb: the blessing and the honor and the glory and the power for ever and ever! Amen!” (aiōn )
14 Oyddu do7atika “Aamin7i” gida. Cimatika ba liipphon gufannidi izas goynida.
(It was the four living beings saying the “Amen”.) And the elders fell and did obeisance.
