< Revelation 10 >
1 Hessafe guye shaara mayida hara mino kiitanchay salope duge wodhizayssa beyadis. Zuulay iza ue7e yuuy adhdhides. Iza ayfesoy awa arishe milates. Iza tootika tama tuusu milatetes.
Then I saw another mighty angel, descending from heaven. His robe was a cloud; over his head was the rainbow; his face was like the sun, and his feet like pillars of fire;
2 Xaathafe birshettida issi guutha maxaafa dizaro ba kushen oykki uttides. Izi ba oshacha toozan abba, hadirsa toozan qass biitta yedhdhi eqqides.
in his hand he held a little book open. He set his right foot on the sea, and his left on the land;
3 Gaamo xaago mala gita qaalara xaagides. Izi xaagida mala laapun dadati ba giirethi sisida.
and he cried in a loud voice like the roaring of a lion. At his cry the seven peals of thunder spoke, each with its own voice.
4 Laapun dadati ba giiretha sisida mala ta xaafana gaada qopadis shin “Ha laapun dadati yootoyssa qum7a oykka attin xaafopa!” giza qaala salope siyadis.
And, when they spoke, I was about to write; but I heard a voice from heaven say – ‘Keep secret what the seven peals of thunder said, and do not write it down.’
5 Hessafe kaallidi abba bollane biitta bolla eqqi dishin ta beyada kiitanchazi ba oshacha kushe pude salo dethidi
Then the angel, whom I had seen standing on the sea and on the land, raised his right hand to the heavens,
6 Medhinape medhinas dizayssan salone salon dizayta qasseka biittane biitta gidon dizayta, abbane abba gidon dizayta medhida Xoossa sunthu xeeygi caaqidi hizgides “Hi7a hayssafe guye izi gam7ena! (aiōn )
and swore by him who lives for ever and ever, who created the heavens and all that is in them, and the earth and all that is in it, and the sea and all that is in it, that time should cease to be. (aiōn )
7 Gido attin laapuntha Kiitanchay ba dinkeza punni sisiza gallasatan izi ba oothachatas, nabetas erisda mala Xoossa xuuray polettana.”
Moreover at the time when the seventh angel will speak, when he is ready to blow his blast, then the hidden purposes of God, of which he told the good news to his servants, the prophets, are at once fulfilled.
8 Hessafe guye tani salope siyada qaalay “Abba bollane biitta bolla eqida Kiitancha Kushen doyeti diza xaatha Maxaafaza baada eka!” giidi qasseka taas yootides.
Then came the voice which I had heard from heaven. It spoke to me again, and said – ‘Go and take the book that is open in the hand of the angel who stands on the sea and on the land.’
9 Tani qass Kiitanchazako baada “Hiino qeeri xaathan diza maxaafayo taas imma” gadis. Izika “Hey ekada ma! Iza nena ne ulo giddon cammana shin dunan qasse nena eessa mala mal7ana” gides.
So I went to the angel and asked him to give me the little book. And he said ‘Take it, and eat it. It will be bitter to your stomach, but in your mouth it will be as sweet as honey.’
10 Taka he qeeri xaatha maxaafayo Kiitanchaza kushepe ekkada madis. Izaka ta duunan tana eessa mala mal7adus shin ta ma aggin guyepe ta ulo giddon tana cammadusu.
I took the little book out of the angel’s hand and ate it, and, while in my mouth, it was like the sweetest honey; but, when I had eaten it, it was bitter to my stomach.
11 Hessafe qasse “Daro duma duma qommo asa gishshine duma duma qaalan hasa7iza asata gishshine kawota gishshi qasseka tinbite ne yootana mala nees besses” geetetid taas yootettides.
And I was told – ‘You must prophesy again about men of many peoples, and nations, and languages, and about many kings.’
