And Judas brings forth Phares and Zara of Thamar; and Phares brings forth Esrom; and Esrom brings forth Aram;
4 Aramey Aminadabe yelides. Aminadabey Ne7asone Yelides. Ne7asoney Selimone yelides.
And Aram brings forth Aminadab; and Aminadab brings forth Naasson; and Naasson brings forth Salmon;
5 Selimoney Bo7eze Ere7abippe yelides. Bo7ezey Urutippe Iyobede yelides. Iyobedey Iseye yelides.
And Salmon brings forth Booz of Rachab; and Booz brings forth Obed of Ruth; and Obed brings forth Jesse;
6 Iseyey kawo Dawite yelides. Dawitey Oriyo machcheyfe Solomone yelides.
And Jesse brings forth David the king; and David the king brings forth Solomon of her that had been the wife of Urias;
7 Solomoney Robi7ame yelides. Robi7amey Aabbiya yelides. Aabbiyaykka Aasafe yelides.
And Solomon brings forth Roboam; and Roboam brings forth Abia; and Abia brings forth Asa;
8 Asafey Yosafaxxe yelides. Yosafaxxey Iyorame yelides. Iyoramey Oziyane yelides.
And Asa brings forth Josaphat; and Josaphat brings forth Joram; and Joram brings forth Ozias;
9 Oziyaney Iyoatamme yelides, Iyoatamey Akaze yelides, Akazey Hizqassa yelides.
And Ozias brings forth Joatham; and Joatham brings forth Achaz; and Achaz brings forth Ezekias;
10 Hizqassay Minasse yelides, Minassey Ammoxe yelides, Amoxxeykka Yosiyasa yelides.
And Ezekias brings forth Manasses; and Manasses brings forth Amon; and Amon brings forth Josias;
11 Yosiyasay Babiloone di7o layth Ikoniyanene iza ishata yelides.
And Josias brings forth Jechonias and his brethren, about the time they were carried away to Babylon:

And after they were brought to Babylon, Jechonias brings forth Salathiel; and Salathiel brings forth Zorobabel;

And Zorobabel brings forth Abiud; and Abiud brings forth Eliakim; and Eliakim brings forth Azor;
14 Azarey Sadeqqe yelides, Sadoqqey Akimme yelides, Akimeykka Eliyodde yelides,
And Azor brings forth Sadoc; and Sadoc brings forth Achim; and Achim brings forth Eliud;
15 Eliyodey Alazare Yelidess, Alazarey Matane yelides, Mataney Yaqqobbe yelides.
And Eliud brings forth Eleazar; and Eleazar brings forth Matthan; and Matthan brings forth Jacob;
16 Yaqoobeykka Kirstosa getetidaysa Yesusa yelida Maramo ekana gigisida Yosefo yelides.
And Jacob brings forth Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.
17 Hesa gish Abirameppe yidi Dawite gakanas tamane oydu yeleteth, qasse Dawiteppe Babiloone di7o wode gakanas taammane oydu yeleteth, Babiloone di7oppe Kirstossa yeleteth gakanas tamane oydu yeleteth gidana.
So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations.
18 Yesus Kirstosa yeletetha tarikey hessa mala; iza ayeya Marama Yosefos gigista utada dishin izi izira gagonta dishin Xillo Ayanan qanthatada bistadus.
Now the birth of Jesus Christ was likewise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit. (pneuma)

Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privately.

But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, you son of David, fear not to take unto you Mary your wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. (pneuma)

And she shall bring forth a son, and you shall call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,
Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife:
