1 Kalethidikka Yesusay “ta intes tummu gays ha eqida asafe Xoossa kawotethi wolqara yishin beyana gakanas hayqonta issi issi asati detess” gidess.
"In solemn truth I tell you," he said, "there are some standing here who shall not taste death till they see the kingdom of God, come with power."
2 Usupun galassafe guye Yesusay Phixirosa Yaqobbene Yanisa benara kalethi ekkidi issi giitta zumma bolla kezidees. Issti berkka dishin issta sinthan iza medhay lammeti wodhides.
Six days later Jesus took with him Peter and Jamesand John, and brought them by themselves up a high mountain apart from the rest.
3 Izi mayda mayoy bitta bolla onikka mayo mecidi hessa mala bothanas danda7onta bothu botides.
Here in their presence he was transfigured; and his clothes also became glistering with a radiant whiteness, such as no bleaching on earth could give.
4 He wode Elasaynne Mussey Yesusara hasa7etishe istas betida.
Moreover there appeared to them Elijah, with Moses; and they were talking with Jesus.
5 Phixirosay Yesusa “Asatemare nuni han hayssan dizakko nus lo7oko; nes issi dasse, Musses issi dasse, qasse Elassas issi dasse, hezu daassista nu othikoch? gidees.
"Master," said Peter, addressing Jesus, "it is good for us to be here. Let us put up three tents one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah."
6 Daro babida gish Phixirosay ba gizaysa eridi gibeyna.
(For he did not know what to say, they were so awestruck.)
7 Heerakka sharay ista kamin shara gidora “Haysi ta dosiza ta naza izi giza siyitte” giza qaala girethi yides.
Then there came a cloud overshadowing them; and there came a voice out of the cloud. "This is my Son, my beloved. Listen to him."
8 Herakka issti yushi xelin Yesusappe atin oonikka hara uray istara dena.
And suddenly as they looked around, they saw no one any more beside them, but Jesus alone.
9 Issti zumma bollappe duge wodhishin asa nay hayqofe dendana gakanas hayssa isti be7idaysa oonaskka yotonta mala azazidees.
As they came down the mountain he strictly forbade them to narrate to any one what they had seen, until after the Son of man had risen from the dead.
10 Istika bes yotida qaala ba wozinan oykida shin “Hayqoppe dendo gussi ay gusakkonne” gidi ba garasan hasa7etida.
This order they faithfully kept, questioning among themselves what "rising again from the dead" meant.
11 Qasse issti Musse woga tamarsizayti kasetidi Elasay yana koshes aazas gizo? gidi iza oychida.
So they asked him, "How is it that the Scribes say that Elijah must first come?"
12 Yesusay istas “Tumukka Elasay kassetidi yidi wursikka kasse mala oothana. Histinikka asa nay daro waye eekanasinne kadhistanas beses geteti xafetidaysi intes ay milatize?
"Elijah does indeed first come," he said, "and restores all things, But how is it written about the Son of Man, that he will endure great suffering, and be rejected?
13 Gido atin ta intess gizay Eelasay gidikko yidess shin asaykka iza gish xafetida mala bena koshida mala iza bolla othides.” gides.
"Elijah indeed has already come," he added, "and they have done to him whatever they pleased, even as it is written of him."
14 Dugge garsan atida Yesusa kalizaytakko issti simi yishin daro asay issta gidothin Musse woga tamarsizayti istara palametizaysa beyida.
When they rejoined the disciples they saw a great crowd surrounding them, and some Scribes disputing with them.
15 Derey iza demida mala malaletidi sarotana izakko woxidees.
As soon as they saw him, all the people were astounded and ran up to greet him.
16 Izikka ista “Inte istara aza gish palameteti?” gidi oychidees.
He asked them, "What are you discussing with them?"
17 Assa garsafe issadey “Astemare tuna ayanay izan gelin duna mumida ta na daysa ta neekko eekka yadis,
"Master," answered one of the crowd, "I brought my son to you; he has a dumb spirit in him;

and wherever it seizes him it dashes him down; he foams at the mouth, and grinds his teeth, and is wasting away. I begged your disciples to cast it out, but they could not."
19 Yesusaykka istatas zaridi “Inteno amanonta yeletato, ayde gakanas ta intenara danne? Qasse ayde gakanas ta intena danda7ane? Aane naza ha ehitte” gidees.
"O unbelieving generation!" replied Jesus; "how long must I be with you? How long must I be patient with you? Bring him to me."
20 Assaykka naza izakko ehidees, tunna ayanay Yesusa be7ida mala naza herakka biitta bolla gendersidi kokorsidinne dunnara goponto coopu histides.
So they brought the boy to him, and when he saw Jesus, the spirit at once convulsed him, and he fell to the ground and wallowed, foaming at the mouth.
21 Yesusay naza aawa “Haysi hargey izza oykin woqqa wodde? gidees. Naza aawaykka “natethafe domidi” gides.
Then Jesus asked the father, "How long has he been like this?"
22 Iza wodhanas koydi daro wode tamankka hathankka yegess, ness danda7etikko nuss michistanne nunna madda gidees.
"From childhood," he answered; "and often it has thrown him into the fire and into the water, to destroy him; but if you can do anything, take pity on us and help us."
23 Yesusay qasse “Ness danda7etikko gay? Aamanizadees wurikka danda7etess” gidees.
Jesus said to him. "‘If you can’! All things can be for one who believes."
24 Naza aaway herakka “Ta ammanays shin ta amanoy lafa, tanna madarikki” giidi wassidees.
The boy’s father with a cry said instantly. "I do believe; help my unbelief."
25 Assay wocamishe bureti eekidi izakko yizaysa Yesusay beydi “Hayso tulene mume ayanazo hayssa nazappe keza, ne qasse simada gelonta mala ta nena azazays” gidi tuna ayana seridees.
And when Jesus saw that a crowd came running together, he rebuked the unclean spirit. "You dumb and deaf spirit," he said, "come out of him, I command you, and never enter him again."
26 Tunna ayanazika kehi wasidees, nazikka kehi qaketidappe guye nazappe kezidees. Daroti hayqidees gana gakanas nazi an7ah milatidees.
So with a loud shriek it came out, after throwing the boy into convulsion after convulsion. The boy looked like a corpse, so that most of them said that he was dead.
27 Gido atin Yesusay naza kushe oyki denthidees. Nazikka dendi eeqidees.
But Jesus took him by the hand and lifted him up, and he stood up.
28 Yesusay so gelidappe guye iza kalizayti “Nu izappe tunna ayana kessanas aazas danda7ibeykoni?” giidi iza oychida.
When Jesus had gone into the house, his disciples asked him in private, "Why could not we cast it out?"
29 Izikka istas “hayssa malay kezana danda7izay wosaninne xoomman xallala” gidees
"This kind can only be cast out by prayer," he replied.
30 Heppe dendi Galila bagara adhi bida. Yesusay ba dizso oonikka eeranamala koybeyna.
Jesus and his disciples, after leaving that place, passed through Galilee; but he was unwilling that any one should know it,
31 Gassoykka Yesusay bena kalizaytas “Assa nay asa kushen adhi immistana istikka iza wodhana, hezantho galasafe guye izi dendana” giidi issta tamarsiza gishasa.
for he was explaining to his disciples that the Son of man was to be betrayed into the hands of men, and that they would put him to death, but that after he had been put to death, he would rise again after three days,
32 Gido atin izi gizaysi isstas gelibeyna; iza ooychanasikka babida.
But they did not understand his words, and were afraid to ask him the meaning.
33 Hessafe guye Qifirnahomme bidda. Izi keth gelidi “Inte ooge bolla aza gish palametideti” gi oychidees.
Then they came to Capernaum; and when he got into the house he asked them, "What were you discussing on the road?"
34 Isstti qass ooge bolla “Nu garssan nuppe wursoppe adhizay oone?” gidi palametida gish wurikka co7u gida.
But they were silent, for on the road they were disputing together which one was greatest.
35 Izi utidappe guye tammane namm7ata xeygidi “Koyro gidana koyizadey wursoppe wursethinne wursotas ashkara gido” gidees.
So he sat down and called the Twelve, and said to them, "If any one wishes to be first, he must be last of all, and the servant of all."
36 Qii gutha na ehidi ista gidon esidinne idimmidi
Then Jesus took a little child, set it among them, and folding it in his arms, he said,
37 Hayta gutha anaytappe issade ta sunthan mokki ekkizadey tannakka mokki ekes. Tana mokki ekizadey wuri tana xalala gidonta tana kitidaysakka mokki ekkes” gidees.
"Whoever in my name receives one such little child, receives me, and whoever receives me, receives not me, but Him who sent me."
38 Yanisaykka “Astemare, issadey ne sunthan daydanth kesishin nu beydos. Izi nuna kalonta gish kesonta mala digidos” gidees.
"Master," said John, "we saw a man casting out demons in your name, and we tried to stop him because he did not follow us."
39 Yesusay qasse “digopitte oonikka ta sunthan malata oothidi esotidi ta bolla iitta hasa7anas danda7ena” gidees.
"Do not try to stop him," Jesus answered, "for there is no one who performs a miracle in my name who can soon speak evil of me.
