1 Hessafe guye Yesusay heppe dendidi gede ba dere bidees. Iza kalizaytikka izara bida.
AND he went out thence, and came into his native country; and his disciples followed him.
2 Ayhudata sambatay gakin Ayhudata wossa keth gelidi tamarsishin siyida asay malaletishe hiz gidees “Hayssi adezi hayssa wursi aawappe eekidee? haysi izas immetida eratethay aze? qasse hayti izi othiza malatati wani iza kushen hanizo?
And when the sabbath came, he began to teach in the synagogue: and many when they heard him were amazed, saying, Whence hath this man these things? and what is the wisdom given to him, that even such miracles are done by his hands?
3 Haysi anaxeza gidenee? Marami na Yaqobenta Yosofonta, Yihudantane Simonanta isha gidene? Iza micheti nunara han nu matan dizayta detene? Giidi hessafe dendidaysan izan ufa7etibetena.
Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James and Joses, and Judah and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him.
4 Yesusaykka isstas “Nabey bonchetontay ba deren ba dabota gidonine ba so asa achan xala” gidees.
Then said Jesus unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his native place, and among his relations, and in his own family.
5 Hen gutha harganchata bolla kushe wothi pathorippe attin hara aykko malatakka oothanas danda7ibeynna.
And he could not do there any miracle, except that laying his hands on a few sick persons he cured them.
6 Isstas ammanoy bayndaysa beyidi malaletidees. Hessafekka Yesusay mandarappe mandaran yuyi yuyi tamarsides.
And he marvelled at their infidelity. And he went about the villages around, teaching.
7 Tammane namm7ata beekko xeygidi namm7u namm7u histi kitishe tunna ayanata bolla isstas godateth immidees.
And called the twelve, and began to send them two and two, and gave them authority over unclean spirits.
8 Izi “ogges gidiza gufe attin oogge shinqe woykko qaraxite woykko mishshe oykoppitte.
And he commanded them, that they should take nothing for the journey, except a staff only; neither scrip, nor bread, nor even brass money in their purse:
9 Caamma athitte gido attin lammana mayo oykopitte.
wearing sandals, and not to be clothed with two coats.
10 Issi keth inte gelikko he katammappe inte kezana gakanas he kethan diitte.
And he said unto them, Wheresoever ye enter into a family, there abide until ye depart thence.
11 Awankka oonikka intena mokki eekonta ixxikko heppe kezishe he dereta bolla marka gidanamala inte to bolla diza gudula qoqofitte” gidi azazides.
And as many as shall not receive you, neither hearken to you, when ye go from thence, shake off the dust from beneath your feet, for a testimony against them. Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment, than for that city.
12 Isstikka heeppe kezidi derey marotethan gelana maal sabakida.
And going forth, they preached, that men should repent.
13 Daro daydanthata kesida daro harganchata zayte tiyi tiyidi pathida.
And they cast out many devils, and anointed with oil many sick persons, and cured them.
14 Yesusa sunthi kassefe ereti ereti bishin kawo Herodossay hessa siyidees. Issi issi asati “hayssa mala malatata othiza Xamqiza Yanisay hayqoppe dendina” gida.
And king Herod heard it (for his name was celebrated), and he said, This is John the Baptist, he is risen from the dead, and therefore miracles are wrought by him.
15 Bagayti “Elasakko gida” baga asay qasse “kasse nabetappe issa mala” gida.
Others said, That it is Elias; and others said, He is a prophet, or as one of the prophets.
16 Herodosay yoza siyidi “ta iza qodhe qanxisida Yanisay hayqoppe paxxi dendidees” gidees.
But when Herod heard it, he said, This is John whom I beheaded; he is risen from the dead.
17 Herodossay ba isha Pilipossa machcho Herodiyado ekkida gedon oyketidi qacheelotana mala azazidi yanisa qasho keth gelithidees.
For Herod himself had sent and seized upon John, and bound him in prison, for Herodias’ sake, his brother Philip’s wife; because he had married her.
18 Yanisay Herodosa “ne isha machcho ne ekontamala wogay nena diges” gida gish qachides.
For John said to Herod, It is not lawful for thee to have thy brother’s wife.
19 Herodiyaday hessa gish holotada iza wodhisanas koyadus shin danda7abeykku.
Therefore Herodias bore him a rooted resentment, and would have slain him; yet could not:
20 Gasoykka Yanisay xillo ass gididaysa Herodosay eriza gish Yanisas babesine iza naages. Yansay yotizaysa Herodosay siydi hirgizagidikokka izzi yotizaysa wozinappe siyes.
for Herod feared John, knowing him to be a righteous and holy man; and paid great attention to him and when he heard him, did many things, and heard him with delight.
21 Herodosa yeleta galas bonchanas dhoqa shuumistas olla wotadarata azaziza wanatasine Galila biittan kehi eretiza gitta asatas gibira kesidees, hesikka Herodiyadis gigga galas gididees.
And a favourable day being come for her purpose, when Herod on his birth-day made a supper for his nobles, and military commanders, and the principal personages of Galilee;
22 Herodiyadi maca naaya gelada asa sinthan yeth yexin Herodosane izi xeygida asa izi yethay ufaysidees. Kawoykka nayo “ne koyiza miish ubbaa tana oycha ta ness immana” gides.
and the daughter of this Herodias coming in, and dancing, and delighting Herod, and his company, the king said to the damsel, Ask me whatsoever thou wilt, and I will give it thee.
23 Qassekka ta kawotetha baga gididakkokka ne oychikko wurssa taa neess immana gidi iziss caqidees.
And he swore unto her, That whatsoever thou shalt ask, I will give thee, even to the half of my kingdom.
24 Nayakka elela kezada ba ayeyo “kawo azi oychchoo?” gadus. Ayiyakka “Xammaqiza Yanisa hu7e qanxada imma ga” gadus.
Then she went out and said to her mother, What shall I ask? and she said, The head of John the Baptist.
25 Nayakka elela kezada kawozakko gelada “xamaqiza Yanisa hu7e keren wothada ne tass immana mala koyayis” ga oychadus.
And she came in immediately with eagerness to the king, and asked, saying, I desire that thou wilt give me on the spot, in a charger, the head of John the Baptist.
26 Kawoy he yozan daro handatidees, gido attin xeygetida immatha gishine caqida qalla gish iziss akaye ganas koybeyna.
And the king was exceedingly sorry; yet on account of his oath, and those who sat with him, he would not refuse her.
27 Hessa gish wotadaratappe issa eesson kitidi Yansa qodhe qanxidi iza hu7e eki yana mala azazidees, izikka biidi qasho ketha gidon Yanisa qodhe qanxides.
And the king immediately sending a centinel, commanded his head to be brought thither: and he went, and beheaded him in the prison,
28 Hu7eza sanera ehidi nayes immidees, naykka ba ayeyis immadus.
and brought his head in a charger, and gave it to the damsel, and the damsel gave it to her mother.
29 Yanisa kalizaytikka hessa siyida mala yidi Yanisa anha ekki efidi mogida.
And when his disciples heard it, they came and took up his corpse, and laid it in a sepulchre.
30 Hesafe guye kitetidayti simidi Yesusa achan yuyi adhidi ba othidaysanne ba tamarsidaysa wursi izas yotida.
And the disciples came together unto Jesus, and told him all things, both what they had done, and what they had taught.
31 Daro asay yishenne bishe giza gish qumma miza wodeykka deybeyna, “Anne inte xala tanara poqethaso anne boss guthu shemppi ekkitte” gidees.
And he said unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and repose a little while: for there were multitudes coming and going, so that they had not even time to eat.
32 Hessa gish istti berkka wogolon gelidi issi poqethaso bidda.
And they went into a desert place in a vessel privately.
33 Issti bishin daroti beyidi tora wothan issttappe sinthe adhida.
And the multitudes observed them going off, and many knew him, and ran thither on foot out of all the cities, and got before them, and came together unto him.
34 Yesusay wogoloyppe wodhiza wode daro derey shiqi utidaysa be7ides. Hemizadey baynda mehe mala gidida gish asas qadhetides. Daro yokkka tamarso oykidees.
And Jesus, when he landed, saw a vast multitude, and was moved with companion towards them, for they were as sheep having no shepherd: and he began to teach them many things.
35 He wode gadey qami qammi biza gish iza kalizayti izakko shiqidi hizgida “Haysi nu dizasoy baazokko gaddey qamides.
And when great part of the day was already gone, his disciples coming to him said, This is a desert place, and much of the day is already gone:
36 Haysa heran assi dizaso biidi assy bess miza kath shamidi mana mala asa yeda gida.
send them away, that they may go into the country places and villages around, and buy themselves bread; for they have nothing to eat.
37 Izi istas zaridi “asas mizaz inte immitte” gidees. Isttikka malaletidi “nuni bidi namm7u xetu dinarera kath shamidi hayssa asas immizakko gidandee?” gida.
But he answering said unto them, Give ye them to eat. And they say unto him, Shall we go and buy the value of two hundred denarii, in loaves, and give them to eat?
38 Izikka istas “intes ay lage ukethi dizakonne anne bidi xelitte” gin istti bi xelidi “ichachu ukethine namm7u moley des” gida.
But he said to them, How many loaves have ye? go and see. And when they knew, they said, Five, and two fishes.
39 Hessafe kalidi asa cilila maatta bolla oydan oydan utisana mala azazidees.
And he commanded them to seat them all by companies on the green grass:
40 Assaykka xetu xetunne ichachu tammu ichachu tamm gididi oydan utidees.
and they lay along row against row, a hundred deep, and fifty wide.
41 Izikka ichachu okethane namm7u molista ba kushen oykidi pudde sallo xelidi anjidinne uketha menthi menthi asas gishana mala bena kalizaytas immidees, namm7u molistakka wurso asas shakerethidees.
And taking the five loaves and the two fishes, he looked up to heaven, and blessed, and brake the loaves, and gave them to the disciples, that they should set them before them, and the two fishes he divided among them all.
42 Assay wurikka midi kalides.
And they did all eat, and were filled:
43 Yesusa kalizayti asssay kali min atidaysa tammane namm7u pitha kumeth oydappe shishida.
and they took up twelve baskets full of the fragments, and of the fishes.
44 Kathi mida asappe atummasay xala ichachu shiye.
And they who did eat of the loaves, were about five thousand men.
45 Herakka izzi asa moyzishe izza kalizayti sinthatidi gede pinth Betesayda getetizso pinana mala azazides.
And immediately he compelled his disciples to go on board the vessel, and to go before him to the other side, to Bethsaida, while he sent the multitude away.
46 Heppekka ista agagidi wosanas pude zumma bolla kezides.
And having bid them farewell, he went into a mountain to pray.
47 Gaddey qamin wogoloy abba gidon dishin izi berkka biitta bolla dees.
And when the evening was come, the vessel was in the midst of the sea, and himself alone on the land.
48 Abba bolla carkoy keezi metida gish izza kalizayti abba shri shiri wogolo lagiza mishara baxetishin Yesusay beydees. Wontta bolla istakko yidees, Yidene ista achara adhi banadan hanidees.
And he saw them greatly fatigued with rowing, for the wind was contrary to them: and about the fourth watch of the night he cometh to them, walking upon the sea, and seemed intending to pass by them.
49 Gido atin adhi bana hanishin iza byda mala moytil7e be7ida milatin wurikka wassida.
But when they saw him walking upon the sea, they thought it was an apparition, and screamed out:
50 Wurikka iza beydi dagamida, izkka herakka issta yochidinne aykoy ba; tanakko dagamofitte gides.
for they all saw him, and were greatly agitated: and straitway he spoke to them, and said, Take courage, it is I, be not terrified.
51 Izikka wogolon isstakko gelin carkkoy co7u gidees, isstikka daro malaletida.
And he went up to them into the vessel, and the wind ceased and they were beyond all imagination amazed in themselves, and lost in wonder.
52 Kase izi ukethan othida malata birshech isti eronta gish ista wozinay docides.
For they reflected not upon the loaves, for their heart was hardened.
53 Abba pinidi Gensarexe getetizaso gakidi wogolappe wodhidi wogoloza hen qachidi aggi bida.
And when they had passed over, they came to the land of Gennesareth, and went on shore.
54 Issti wogoloppe wodhida mala asay Yesusa erides.
And when they came out of the vessel, immediately perceiving him,
55 Wurikka ba dizaso dizaso woxeretidi harganchata zaphan tooki tooki ekidi Yesusay dizaso ehida.
running through all parts of that country, they began to carry about on couches those who were afflicted with diseases, wherever they heard that he was.
56 Izi gakida gutan woykko katamma gidon woykko dere garsan gidin harganchati izi adhishin izza wosidine iza mayo bochidi paxanamala shishi shishi dubbushay dizson wotnida. Izi adhishin iza mayo bochidayti wuri paxida.
And wherever they entered into villages or cities, or country places, they laid the sick in the streets, and besought him that they might touch, if but the fringe on his garment; and as many as touched it, were cured.
