< Marqqossa 3 >
1 Hara galas Mukurabe gelidees, henikka kushey silida uray dees.
Another time He went into the synagogue, and there was a man there with a withered hand.
2 Iza motanas gasso koyza asati izi Ayhudata sambata galas pathankkonne gidi pathishin beyana koyda.
So they watched Him closely, whether He would heal him on the Sabbath, so that they might accuse Him.
3 Izikka ha kushey silida addeza “shiqi utidda asa sinthan denda eqqa” gidees.
Well, He says to the man with the withered hand, “Come out in the middle!”
4 Hessafe guye Yesusay asa “sambata galas besizay lo7o othoye ita othoo? Assa shemmpo aashoye woykko shemppo wodho? gidi oychidees. Isstikka coo7u gida.
Then He said to them: “Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good or to do evil, to save life or to kill?” But they remained silent.
5 Istta wozina shuchatethan michetidi izza giddothidi yuyi adhi eqida asa hanqora eqidi addeza “Ne kushe pidisa” gidees. Addezikka ba kushe pidisin kushezi mulera pathidees.
After looking around at them with anger, being grieved at the hardness of their hearts, He says to the man, “Stretch out your hand!” So he stretched, and his hand was restored as healthy as the other!
6 Parsaweti kezi bidi iza wosti dhaysanakkone Herdossa baga gidida asatara zoretida.
Then the Pharisees went straight out, and with the Herodians started hatching a plot against Him, how they might destroy Him.
7 Yesusay bena kalizata abbako bidees. Galilappenne Yudappe yida daro derey iza kalidees.
Jesus withdrew with His disciples to the sea; and a large crowd from Galilee followed Him—also from Judea,
8 Izi othizaysa siyidi asay Yudapppe, Yerusalemppe, Edomasappe, Yordanose pinthan diza dereyppe qasse Xirosappene Siddona herappe izakko yidees.
from Jerusalem, from Idumea and beyond Jordan; even those around Tyre and Sidon. A huge crowd came to Him, having heard the sorts of things He kept doing.
9 Asay darida gish iza kun7isonta mala gutha wogolo issti gigisana mala bena kalizayta azazidees.
So He told His disciples that a small boat should be kept ready for Him because of the crowd, lest they should press in on Him.
10 Izi darota harganchata pathida gish sakkoy waysizayti wurii iza ba kushera bochanas dafetidees.
Because He had healed many, so that as many as had afflictions were pushing toward Him so as to touch Him.
11 Tuna ayanatikka iza be7ida mala iza sinthan kundidi “Neni Xoossa na” gishe wasida.
And the unclean spirits—whenever one saw Him, he would fall down before Him and cry out, saying, “You are the son of God!”
12 Gido atin izi oonakone tuna ayanati qoncisontamala kehippe hanqidees.
And He kept giving them strict orders that they should not make Him known.
13 Yeusay pudde zumma bolla kezidi ba koyzayta bekko yana mala xeygidees, isttikka izakko yida.
He went up on the mountain and summoned those whom He wanted, and they came to Him.
14 Izara issippe gidana malanne sabakanas yedana mala tamane namm7ata Hawarista gis sunthidees.
He appointed twelve, that they might be with Him and that He might send them out to preach
15 Assappe daydanthata kessana mala istasi godateth imidees.
—also to have authority to heal sicknesses and to cast out demons:
16 Izi sunthida tammane nam7ata sunthi hayssappe kalizaysa; Phixirosa getetida Simmona,
namely Peter (a name He gave to Simon);
17 Bo7ornegesse woykko dada nayta getetida Zabidossa nayta Yaqobene Yanisa,
James son of Zebedee, and John the brother of James (and a name He gave to them was Boanerges, that is, ‘Sons of thunder’);
18 Indirasa, Philiphosa, Bertelemossa, Mattossa, Tommasa, Ilposa na Yaqobbe, Tadossa, ba bittas zil7etiza Simmona,
Andrew, Phillip, Bartholomew, Matthew, Thomas, James son of Alphaeus, Thaddaeus, Simon the Cananite;

and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed Him.
20 Hessappe guye Yesusay issi so gelidees. Izine iza kalizayti kath mana wodey istas dhayana gakanas derey qassekka dari shiqidees.
Then they went into a house; and again a multitude gathered, so that they were not even able to eat bread.
21 Iza hanota siyida iza daboti gooyonta agena gidi benara ekki banas izi dizaso gakida.
Well upon hearing this His family came to apprehend Him, because they were saying, “He is out of his mind!”
22 Yerusalameppe Yida Xafetikka Bi7el zebula betetiza daydanthata halaqay iza bolla dees, izi daydanthata kesizay daydanthata halaqa wolqana gida.
Then some scribes who had come down from Jerusalem started saying, “He has Beelzebul,” and “It is by the ruler of the demons that he casts out demons.”
23 Izikka ista xeygidi lemusora, “Xala7y asappe Xal7e wosti kesanne?” gidees.
So summoning them He started saying to them in parables: “How can Satan cast out Satan?
24 Be garsan shakkoy diza kawotethi minanas danda7ena.
If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.
25 Issi ketha assikka ba garasan shaketikko eqanas danda7ena.
And if a household is divided against itself, that household cannot stand.
26 Hessathokka Xala7ey ba garasan issay issara shaketikkonne eqanas shakkoy dikko mini eqanas danda7ena, hesikka izas wurseth gidees.
And if Satan has risen up against himself and become divided, he cannot stand, but is finished.
27 Hessa gason issi uray koyrotidi wolqamara ura qashonta dishe wolqamazaso gelanasine iza mishe bonqanas danda7ena, Ketha mishe bonqanas danda7etizay wolqama ura qachikko xala.
No one can plunder the strong man's goods, invading his house, unless he first binds the strong man—then he may plunder the house.
28 Ta intess tumu gays asa naytas nagaraynne cashi wuri matistana,

but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is subject to eternal condemnation” (aiōn , aiōnios )
30 Hessa izi giday isstti iza “Ne bolla tunna ayanay dees” gidaysa gishasa.
—because they were saying, “He has an unclean spirit.”
31 Hessappe guye iza ayiyanne iza ishati yidinne karen eqidi asse izakko kitidi xeygisida.
Then His brothers and His mother came, and standing outside they sent to Him, calling Him.
32 Iza yuyi adhi utidda daro asay “Hekko ne ayiyanne ne ishati karen eqidi nena koyetees” gida.
A crowd was sitting around Him; so they said to Him, “Look, your mother and your brothers and your sisters are outside asking for you.”
33 Izikka zaridi ta aya onne? ta ishatichi onanitte? gidees.
He answered them saying, “Who is my mother or my brothers?”
34 Iza yui utidda asakko xelidi “ta ayanne ta ishati haytantakko” gidees.
And looking around at those seated in a circle around Him He said: “Behold my mother and my brothers!
35 Xoossa shene othizay wuri izi ta isha, ta michchone, ta ayo” gidees.
Because whoever does the will of God, the same is my brother, my sister, my mother.”
