1 Yesussaykka tammanne nam77u hawarista issife xeeygidi dayiddanthata kessana malane harggefe pathana mala istas wolqanne Godatethi immides:
And he called together the twelve, and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases.
2 qassekka Xoossa kawotetha yootanasinne harggizayta pathanas ista kiittidees.
And he sent them out to proclaim the kingdom of God, and to heal.
3 istaskka “oge bishe guufe woykko, qaraxite woykko, quma woykko miishshe woykko nam77u mayo aykkokka oykki baannas koshshenna.” gides.
And he said to them, Take nothing for the journey, neither a staff, nor a bag, nor bread, nor money, nor have two coats apiece.
4 intekka he katamayppe kezana gakanas koyro gelida oona keeththanka gidin heen gam7ite.
And into whatever house ye enter, there abide, and from it take your departure.
5 katama asay intena mokki ekkonta ixxikko he katamayppe kezidi intena mokkontaytas markka gidana mala inte tohon diza gudula pittidi kezite gides.
And whoever shall not receive you, shake off, when ye leave that city, even the dust from your feet as a testimony against them.
6 istikka Goday gida mala kezidi miishrachcho qaala yootishene hargganchata pathishe dere wurson guttappe gutta yuuyiida.
And they departed, and went through the towns publishing the glad tidings, and performing cures everywhere.
7 he wode issi issi asati Yanisay hayqqoppe denddides, baggati Elasay kezidi beettides, qasse bagati beni nabetappe issay hayqqoppe dendidees giidi haasa7etiza gish Yuda biitta haariza Herdoossay hessa siyidi hanza miishshan ba wozinan metotettides.
And Herod the tetrarch heard of all that was taking place, and was perplexed; because it was said by some that John had risen from the dead;

and by some, that Elijah had appeared; and by others, that one of the old prophets had risen.

But Herod said, John I beheaded; but who is this, about whom I hear such things? And he sought to see him.

And the apostles returned and told him what they had done; and taking them with him, he withdrew privately to a city called Bethsaida.
11 gido attin daro asay hessa eridi ista kaallides. izikka ista mokki ekkidi Xoossa kawotetha gish yoottides. qassekka harggefe pathanas bessizayta pathides.
But the multitudes, when they knew it, followed him; and he welcomed them, and spoke to them about the kingdom of God, and healed those who had need of healing.
12 gadey lem7ishin tamman nam77u hawareti izakko shiiqqidi “nuni dizay baazo biittan gidida gish asay biiddi bees aqana sonne miza miish koyana mala asa moyiza” gida.
And when the day began to decline, the twelve came and said to him, Send the multitude away, that they may go into the villages around, and the open country, and lodge, and get food; for we are here in a desert place.

But he said to them, Do ye give them food. And they said, We have not more than five loaves and two fishes, unless we ourselves should go and buy food for l all these people.

They were about five thousand men. And he said to his disciples, Make them lie down in companies of fifty.
15 Yesussa kaallizaytika Yesussay azazida mala asa wursi utisida.
And they did so, and made them all lie down.
16 Yesussaykka ichachu ukeeththanne nam77u molista oykidi pude salo xeellidi Xoossa galatides. izikka ukeetha menithidi asa gathana mala bena kaallizaytas immides.
Then he took the five loaves and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed them, and broke and gave them to the disciples to set before the multitude.
17 asay wurikka miidi kaallides. Yesussa kaallizaytika asappe atidda tammanne nam77u masobe kumeth maaddafe denthida.
And they ate, and were all filled; and what remained to them of fragments was taken up, twelve baskets.
18 issi gallas Yesussay berkka woossishin iza kaallizayti izara deetes. izikka ista “asay tana oona gizee?” giidi oychchides.
And it came to pass as he was in a private place praying, that his disciples were with him; and he asked them, saying, Who do the multitudes say that I am?
19 istikka izas “issi issi asay xamaqqiza Yanisa bagayti Elasa harati qasse beni nabetappe issay hayqoppe denddidees geetes” gida.
And they answering said, John the Baptist; and others, Elijah; and others, that one of the old prophets hath risen.
20 izikka ista “intech tana oona geetii?” giidi oychchides. Phexirosaykka “neni Xoossafe kiittetida kirstoosa” giidi zaaridees.
And he said to them, But who do ye say that I am? And Peter answering said, The Christ of God.
21 Yesussaykka ista hayssa oonaskka yootoppite giidi minnithi yoottidi
But he strictly charged them, and commanded them to tell this to no one;
22 qassekka asa nay daro waayye ekkanas besses, dere cimatan qeese halaqqataninne Muse woga xaafizaytan ixistanane ista kushen hayqqanasinne hezantho gallassan hayqqpope dendana gides.
saying, The Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be put to death, and rise again on the third day.
23 qassekka wursosi “ba shemppo ashshana giza asi wuri dhaysana, shin ba shempota gish giidi dhaysiza asi ashshana. hessa gish tana kaalana koyiza asi diikko bena kaddo, wurso gallas ba masqqale tookkidi tana kaalo” gides.
And he said to all, If any one chooseth to come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
For whoever chooseth to save his life, will lose it; and whoever loseth his life for my sake, he will save it.
25 asi alame mule wodhisidi ba shemppo dhaysiko aaza go7ay dizee?
For what is a man profited, if he gain the whole world, and lose or forfeit himself?
26 oonikka tananinne ta qaalan yeelatikko asa nay ba bonchora, aawa bonchoranne geeshsha kiitanchata bonchora yiza wode tani izan yeelatana.
For whoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him will the Son of man be ashamed, when be cometh in his glory, and that of his Father, and of the holy angels.
27 ta intes tumu gays hayssan eqqida asappe hayqqanappe sinthan Xoossa kawotethi beyana bagga asati deetes.
And I tell you in truth, that there are some of those standing here who will not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God.
28 Yesussay hessa gida osppun gallassa malappe guye woossanas zuma bolla kezides. bishe benara Phexirosa, Yanisanne Yaqobe ekki bides.
And it came to pass about eight days after this discourse, that he took with him Peter and John and James, and went up into the mountain to pray.
29 izi woosishin iza ayfesoy lametides. iza medhaykka wolqantha mala xoliqidi booxxidees.
And while he was praying, the appearance of his countenance was changed, and his raiment became white and glistening.
30 nam77u asati Museynne Elasay izara haasa7ettida.
And lo! two men were talking with him, who were Moses and Elijah;
31 istikka bonchora qonccidi Yerusalemeni polistana diza Yesussa hayqqo gish haasa7ettida.
who appeared in glory, and spoke of his departure which he was about to fulfill in Jerusalem.
32 Phexirosane izara dizayta deexo dhiskkoy oykkides. istikka dhiskofe beeggidi Yesussa bonchonne nam77u asi izara eqqidayta beydda.
But Peter and those who were with him were weighed down with sleep. But when they awoke, they saw his glory, and the two men that stood with him.
33 he nam77u asati Yesussappe shaakketi bishin Phexirosay Yesussa “Godo issi daasse nees, issi daasse Muses issi daasse Elasas oothidi haan dizaakko nuus lo7oshin” gides. gido attin Phexirosay ba gizaysa eronta gides.
And it came to pass as they were parting from him, that Peter said to Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here; and let us make three tents, one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah; —not knowing what he said.

But as he was saying this, there came a cloud and overshadowed them; and they were afraid as they entered the cloud.

And there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, “This is my chosen Son; hear him.”
36 qaalay setettida wode Yesussay xalla beettides. Yesussa kaallizayttikka hanidda miishsha wursi ba wozinan oykkida attin oonaaskka yoottibeyitena.
And when the voice had come, Jesus was found alone. And they kept it secret, and told no one in those days anything of what they had seen.
37 wontetha gallas isti zuma bolla wodhin daro asay yiidi Yesussara gaagidees.
And it came to pass that on the next day, when they had come down from the mountain, a great multitude met him.
38 he wode asa giddofe issi uray qaala dhoqqu histidi “tamaarisizayso taas issi nay xalla diza gish iza ne xeellana mala ta nena woosays.
And lo! a man from the multitude cried out, saying, Teacher, I beseech thee, look upon my son, for he is my only child;
39 iza iita ayaanaay oykishin haasa7ay bayndda wasses, qakketishe duunara goppontto kesses, qoho gathidappe guye daro waayisdi agges.
and lo! a spirit seizeth him, and suddenly crieth out, and convulseth him so that he foameth, and it departeth from him hardly, taking away all his strength.
40 nena kaallizayti nazappe kessana mala ista ta woosadisi, gido attin kessana dandda7ibeyitenna” gides.
And I besought thy disciples to cast it out, and they could not.
41 Yesussaykka istas zaaridi “amanontta ha wode wobe asato tani intenara aydde gakkanaas daanee? intenakka aydde gakanas dandda7anee? naaza ane ha eha!” gides.
And Jesus answering said, O unbelieving and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you, and bear with you? Bring thy son hither.
42 naazi yishin iita ayaanaay iza boollafe yegin qakkettides. Yesussaykka iita ayaanan seeridi naaza pathidi naaza aawas immides.
And while he was yet coming, the demon threw him down, and convulsed him. But Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, and healed the child, and delivered him to his father.
43 asaykka wuri Xoossa gitatethan malaletides. izi oothidaysan asay wuri malaletishn Yesussay bena kaallizayta
And they were all amazed at the mighty power of God. But while they were all wondering at all the things which he did, he said to his disciples,
44 “asa nay asa kushen aadhdhidi imistana, intekka ha yoza baloppitte” gides.
As for you, let these words sink into your ears; for the Son of man is about to be delivered up into the hands of men.

But they knew not the meaning of these words, and it was hidden from them, that they might not perceive it; and they were afraid to ask him about these words.

And there arose a reasoning among them, which of them was greatest.
47 Yesussaykka ista wozina qofa eridi guutha na ekki yiidi ba matan esidi
And Jesus knowing the reasoning of their heart, took a child and set him by his side,
48 “ha guutha na ta sunthan ekkizaddey oonikka diikko tana ekkees, tana ekkizaddeyka tana kiitiddaysa ekkees. inte wursofe guutha uray izi wursofe aadhdhes” gides.
and said to them, Whoever receiveth this child in my name, receiveth me; and whoever receiveth me, receiveth him who sent me. For he that is least among you all, he is great.
49 Yanisaykka “Godo issi uray ne sunthan dayiddanth kesishin beydos. gido attin izi nunara kaalonta gish digganas koydos” gides.
And John answering said, Master, we saw one casting out demons in thy name, and we forbade him, because he doth not follow in our company.
50 “intena ixonta asi wuri inte baga gidida gish diggopite” gides.
But Jesus said to him, Forbid him not; for he that is not against you is for you.
51 Yesussay salo biza wodey matida gish Yerusaleme baanas denddidees.
And it came to pass, when the time was near for his being received up, that he himself steadily set his face to go to Jerusalem.
52 izikka sinthethidi ase kiittides. istikka koshiza miish giigissanappe kasetidi Samarya biittan diza issi guta bida.
And he sent messengers before him; and they went and entered a city of the Samaritans, to make ready for him.
53 gido attin derey izi Yerusaleme bizayssa erida gish mokki ekkibeyitenna.
And they did not receive him, because his face was as if he were going to Jerusalem.
54 iza kaallizaytappe Yaqobeyne Yanisay hanzaysa beyidi “Godo Elasay oothoysatho tamay saloppe wodhidi ista dhayso” giidi azazana mala koyay? gida.
And the disciples James and John, on seeing it, said, Lord, wilt thou have us bid fire come down from heaven, and consume them?
55 gido attin Yesussay istakko yuuyiidi “intes ay mala ayaanaay dizakkon erekketii? asa nay yiday asa shemppo ashshanas attin dhaysanas gideenna” giidi ista seerides.
But he turned and rebuked them.
56 isti wurikka hara guta bida.
And they went to another village.
57 istikka birshin issi asi istakko shiiqidi “tani neni biza wursoso nena ta kaalana” gides.
And as they were traveling on the way, one said to him, I will follow thee wherever thou goest.
58 Yesussaykka “worikenatas aqqizza olay, kafotas qasse aqqizza kafo keethi dees gido attin asa nas ba hu7e ayssiza soykka baawa” gides.
And Jesus said to him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have lodging-places; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.
59 Yesussaykka hinkoysa “tana kaala” gides. he uraykka “Godo ta kasista baada ta aawa moogoo?” gides.
And he said to another, Follow me. But he said, Suffer me first to go and bury my father.
60 Yesussaykka “aggagga hayqidayti hayqidayta moogetto, neni gidikko baada Xoossa kawotethaa asas yoota” gides.
And he said to him, Let the dead bury their own dead; but go thou and carry the tidings of the kingdom of God.
61 qassekka hara uray “Godo ta nena kaalana shin koyro so baada ta keeththa asa saro gaada yoo?” gides.
And another also said, I will follow thee, Lord; but first let me bid farewell to those who are in my house.
62 gido attin Yesussay “boora kaso oykkidi goyishe guye zaari xellizaddey oonikka Xoossa kawotethas beesena” gides.
And Jesus said to him, No one who looketh back after putting his hand to the plough is fit for the kingdom of God.
