1 Yesussay Gensereexxe abba lanqqen eqqidi Xoossa qaala tamaarisishin siiyiza asay iza kuni7isides.
Now it came to pass, while the multitude pressed upon him to hear the word of God, and having stood still, he was beside the lake of Gennesaret.
2 He wode nam77u wogoloti abba achchan dishin Yesussay be7ides. mole oykizayti wogolotappe wodhdhidi mole gitista meeceetes.
And he saw two boats standing by the lake, but the fishermen having gone out of them, were washing their nets.
3 Yesussay wogolotappe Simoona wogolon gelidi biittafe gede abba gido shishanna mala oychidinne wogolo giddon uttidi asa tamaarsides.
And having entered into one of the boats, which was Simon's, he asked him to put out a little from the land. And having sat down, he taught the crowds from the boat.
4 Tamaarsidi wursidape guye Simoona abbay ciimmatizaso shiiqqa mole oykanas inte giteza abba gido yegite gides.
And when he stopped speaking, he said to Simon, Put out into the depth, and let down your nets for a catch.
5 Simoonay Yesussas zaaridi Godo qamma kumeth daaburi aqqiddi issinokka oykibeyko, gidoattin ne qaalan giteza yegana gides.
And having answered, Simon said to him, Master, having toiled through the whole night, we took nothing, but at thy saying, I will let down the net.
6 Yegida wode daro mole oykida. Giteyka daakettides.
And having done this, they enclosed a great multitude of fishes, and their net was tearing.
7 Hara wogolon dizayti yiidi ista maaddana mala kushera wuti xeygida. Istika yiidi nam77u wogolota mole kunthida. Wogolotika duge miteteth oykida.
And they beckoned to their partners in the other boat, after coming, to assist them. And they came and filled both the boats, so as for them to be sunk down.
8 Simoona geettetiza Phexiroossay hessa beyidi Yesussa gulbate bolla kundidi Godo ta nagarancha gidida gish ta achchafe kichcha gides.
But Simon Peter having seen, he fell down at Jesus' knees, saying, Depart from me, because I am a sinful man, Lord.
9 Izi hessa giday izine izara dizayti oykida daro molezan malalettida gishassa.
For astonishment surrounded him, and all those with him, at the catch of the fishes that they caught,
10 Qassekka Simoona laggeti zabidoosa nayti Yaqobeyne Yanisayka wuri malalettida. Yesussaykka Simoona babofa hayssafe guye ne asa oykizadde gidana gides.
and likewise also James and John, sons of Zebedee, who were partners with Simon. And Jesus said to Simon, Fear not, from henceforth thou will be catching men.
11 Istika wogolota biittako shiishshidi wursikka yegi7agidi Yesussa kaallida.
And when they brought their boats to land, after forsaking all, they followed him.
12 Yesussay katamatappe issineyin dishin inchirachcha harggey bolla wursi oykida issi asi he kataman dees. He urayka Yesussa beyidi iza sinthan kundidi “Godo ne koyko tana pathana danda7asa” giidi woossides.
And it came to pass while he was in one of the cities, behold, a man full of leprosy. And having seen Jesus, having fallen on his face, he besought him, saying, Lord, if thou will, thou can make me clean.
13 Yesussay ba kushe yedi bochchidi “ta dossadis paxa” gides. inchirachchay heeraka dhaydes.
And having stretched forth his hand, he touched him, having said, I will, be thou clean. And straightaway the leprosy departed from him.
14 Yesussay izas “hayssa oonaskka yootoppa, gido attin baada nena qeese halaqas bessa istas marka gidana mala ne geeyidayssas Musey azazida yarshoza shiishsha” giidi azazides.
And he commanded him to tell no man, but, After going, show thyself to the priest, and bring concerning thy cleansing, just as Moses commanded for a testimony to them.
15 Gido attin iza gish asay haasa7iza worey kaseppe aakki aakki biddes. Keehi daro asay iza haasa7a siyanasinne bena sakiza harggefe paxanas izako shiiqidees.
But the report about him went through more, and many multitudes came together to hear, and to be healed by him from their infirmities.
16 Yesussay daro wode asi bayndda poqqethaso biidi woossides.
But he himself was withdrawing into the desolate regions, and praying.
17 Yesussay tamaarsishin asay Galilappenne Yihudappe qassekka Yerusalemeppe yida Farsawetinne woga tamaarisizayti heen uttida. Izi pathana mala Goda wolqay izara dees.
And it came to pass during one of those days, he was also teaching. And there were seated Pharisees and law teachers, who were men having come out of every town of Galilee and Judea and Jerusalem. And the power of the Lord was to heal them.
18 He wode asay issi kumetha bollay silidi qaaxonta harggancha zaphara tooki ekki yiidi keethe gelthidi Yesussa sinthan wothanas paacida.
And behold, men bringing a man on a bed who was paralyzed. And they sought to bring him in, and to lay him before him.

And not having found how they might bring him in because of the multitude, after going up upon the housetop, they let him down through the tiles with the small bed into the midst in front of Jesus.
20 Yesussay ista amano beyidi hayso ne ne nagarappe maaristadasa gides.
And having seen their faith, he said to him, Man, thy sins are forgiven thee.

And the scholars and the Pharisees began to deliberate, saying, Who is this who speaks blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, except God alone?
22 Yesussay ista qofa erida gish “inte inte wozinan ays hessaththo qoppeti?” gides.
But when Jesus perceived their thoughts, having responded, he said to them, Why do ye deliberate in your hearts?
23 Neni nagarappe maaristadasa gusafenne dendada ba gusafe awayssi kawishee?
Which is easier, to say, Thy sins are forgiven thee, or to say, Arise and walk?
24 Gido attin ta hayssa giday asa naas biitta bolla asa nagarappe maaranaas Godatethi dizaysa inte erana mala. Qassekka he sila ura “nena gays! eqqa dendada ne zapha tookada baa” gides.
But that ye may know that the Son of man has authority upon earth to forgive sins (he said to the paralyzed man), I say to thee, Arise, and after taking up thy small bed, go to thy house.
25 Izi heeraka ista sinthan dendi eqqides. Kase ba zin7ida zapha tookidi Xoossa galatishe beso bides.
And immediately having risen up before them, after taking up that on which he lay, he departed to his house glorifying God.
26 He wode asi wuri malalettides. Xoossa galatishe hach malalisizaz be7ides giidi daro babida.
And amazement gripped all, and they glorified God. And they were filled with fear, saying, We have seen strange things today.
27 Hessafe guye Yesussay heeppe kezi bides. Lewe giza issi qaraxa qanxisizaysi qaraxa qanxizason uttidaysa beyidi tana kaalla gides.
And after these things he went forth and saw a tax collector, named Levi, sitting at the tax office. And he said to him, Follow me.
28 Izika wursi aggidi iza kaallides.
And after leaving behind all, having risen up, he followed him.
29 Leweyka Yesussassi ba keeththan gita diggisa diggisides. Qaraxa shiishiza daro asattinne hara asatikka istara issife maaddan uttida.
And Levi made a great feast for him in his house, and there was a large crowd of tax collectors and others who were relaxing with them.
30 Farsawetinne ista Xaafeti qaraxa shiishshizaytarane nagaranchatara issife aazas meeti giidi Yesussa kaallizayta bolla zigirettida.
And their scholars and Pharisees murmured against his disciples, saying, Why do ye eat and drink with the tax collectors and sinners?
31 Yesussaykka istas hargganchatas attin paxa asas aakkime koshshenna gides.
And having answered, Jesus said to them, Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those faring badly.
32 Taka nagaranchata maaretethako zaranaas attin xillota xeyganas yabeykke gides.
I have not come to call the righteous but sinners to repentance.

And they said to him, Why do the disciples of John fast often, and make supplications, and likewise those of the Pharisees, but thine eat and drink.
34 Yesussaykka istas zaaridi mishray issife dishin diggissasi xeeysettidayta xoomisanaas bessizze? gides.
And he said to them, Ye cannot make the sons of the wedding hall fast while the bridegroom is with them.
35 Gido attin mishray istafe shaakistana wodey yaana isti he wode xoomana.
But the days will also come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them, then they will fast in those days.
36 Istas oorath mayoppe qanxi ekkidi gal77a mayo bolla wothi sikizaaddey deenna wothi sikkikko oorathazi gal77ara gaaggonta gish gal77aza daakkana gides.
And he also spoke a parable to them. No man puts a patch of a new garment on an old garment, otherwise both the new tears, and that from the new will not blend with the old.
37 Woyneppe othetida oorath cajje gal77a ogoron kunthidi wothiza asi oonikka baawa wothiza gidikko woyneppe oothettida ooratha cajjey gal77aza daakana. Woyne cajjezikka biittan gukkana gal7a ogoroy sinthafe go7ontaz gidana.
And no man puts new wine into old wineskins, otherwise the new wine will burst the wineskins, and will itself be spilled, and the wineskins will be ruined.
38 Hessa gish ooratha woyne ushy ooratha ogoron gujjistanas besses.
But new wine must be put into fresh wineskins, and both are preserved together.
39 Histikko caalla woyne ush uyidaappe guye caalontazi uyana koyizay ooninne deenna gaasoyka caallay lo7o giza gish.
And no man having drunk old straightaway desires new, for he says, The old is better.
