1 He wode Philaxoossay ista suuthi ista yarshora gathi walakida Galila asata gish Yesussas yoottida asati heen iza ollan deetes.
There were present at the same time, some that told Him of the Galileans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices.
2 Izikka zaaridi histtini hessamala waayey ista bolla gakkida asati hankko waayey gakkonta attida Galila asa wursotappe aadhdhida nagarancha gidida gish giidi qoppetii? gides.
And Jesus answering said unto them, Do ye think that these were sinners above all the Galileans, because they suffered such things?
3 Gideena ta intes yootays inte maaretonta ixxikko inte wurikka he asata mala dhayana.
I tell you, No: but, unless ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
4 Woykko Salhomen gimbey ista bolla wodhdhin hayqqida, tammanne osppun asati Yerusalemen diza asa wursofe nagarancha gididagish giidi qoppetii?
Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and killed them, do ye think that they were sinners above all the inhabitants in Jerusalem?
5 Gideenna ta intes yootays inte maaretonta ixxikko inte wurikka he asata mala dhayanan.
I tell you, No: but, unless ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
6 Qassekka istas issi uray woyne tookkizasson tokkettida issi balase giza mith daysu, he balase miththaykko ayfe koshshu yiidi issi ayfekka demmibeynna.
And He spake this parable, A certain man had a fig-tree planted in his vineyard, and he came seeking fruit on it, but found none.
7 Woyne akakkiltte oothizaysas “hekko tani ayfe demmna gaada hachchra heezzu layth ha balaseykko simerista yaada issi ayfekka demabeykke, hessa gish izo qanxxa diga, aazas coo biitta xunxazee?” giidi leemuso yootides.
And he said to the vine-dresser, behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig-tree, and find none: cut it down, why should it cumber the ground?
8 Izika zaaridi Godo tani izi xaphon osha yeggada oothetha xeellana mala halaythas agaggarkkii.
And he said to him, Sir, let it alone this year also, till I dig about it, and lay dung to it:
9 Yiza laythas iza ayfikko lo7o, ayfonta ixxikko qanxxanddasa gides.
then perhaps it may bear fruit; if not, afterwards cut it down.
10 Yesussay sanbbata gallas issi mukuraben tamaarisishin
And when He was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath-day,
11 tammanne osppun layth kumeth iita ayaanaay oykkidi asatetha pacisida issi maccashya heen daysu, izakka zokkoy kuunnida gish mulekka dhoqqu gaanas dandda7ukku
there was a woman that had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and utterly unable to lift herself upright.
12 Yesussay izo beyidinne xeeygidi hanne maccashaye neni nena sakkiza hargezappe paxaddasakko gides.
And when Jesus saw her, He called her to Him, and said to her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity.
13 Izi ba kushe izi bolla wothini iza heeraka sit gaada eqqadus, Xoossakka galatadus.
And He laid his hands upon her; and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.

But the ruler of the synagogue, being provoked that Jesus had wrought a cure on the sabbath-day, said to the people, There are six days in which ye ought to work; on these therefore come and be healed, and not on the sabbath-day.
15 Godaykka zaaridi inteno qoodheppe qommon haasa7izayto inte garsafe issi uray ba boora woykko ba hare sanbbata gallas beson qachchettidasooppe birshiddi haathe ushanaas efi erennee?
The Lord therefore answered him and said, Thou hypocrite, does not any of you on the sabbath loose his ox or his ass from the stall and lead him away to watering?
16 Histtin hanna maccashiya Abrame na gidada tammanne osppun layth kumeth xalla7ey qachchin diza sooppe sanbbata gallas birshettanas izis besennee? gides
And might not this woman, a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath-day?
17 Yesussay hizgi oychchida wode izara eqqettizayti wurikka yelattida, gido attin derey wurikka izi oychchida malalisiza oychcho wurson ufa7ettides.
Upon his saying this, all his adversaries were ashamed: but the people rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by Him.
18 Qassekka Yesussay zaaridi Xoossa kawotethi ay milatizee? Izo aazara leemusoo?
Then said He, To what is the kingdom of God like, and to what shall I compare it?
19 Issi uray etha ayfe ba gadeni tookkini mokada diccada gita gidiin kafoti izi hangge giddon duusasso giigissana gakanas dicida etha mith milataysu gides.
It is like a grain of mustard-seed, which a man took and sowed in his garden, and it grew, and became a great tree, and the birds of the air lodged in it's boughs.
20 Qassekka Xoossa kawotethi aazara leemusoo?
And again He said, To what shall I compare the kingdom of God?
21 Issi maccash munuqa caallisanas daro dhiillera walakkida guutha irsho malaataysu gides.
It is like leaven, which a woman took and put into three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.
22 Hessafe guye Yesussay Yerusaleme bishe kanthi biza katamanne gutatan asa tamaarisishe aadhdhishin,
And he went through the cities and villages teaching, as He journeyed towards Jerusalem.

And one said to Him, Lord, are there but few that shall be saved?
But He said unto them, Strive to enter in at the strait gate; for I tell you, many will desire to enter in, and shall not be able.
25 Keetha Goday denddidi ba kare gordi gidiin inte karen eqqidi Godo kare doyarkki giidi pengge qoxana shin izi zaaridi inte oonakkone awappe yidakkone ta intena erikke gaana gides.
When the master of the house shall have risen up and shut the door, and ye begin to stand without and knock at the door saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and He shall answer and say to you, I know you not, whence ye are:
26 Intenikka izas zaaridi nuni nenara issife midosinne issife uydos nu dubbushan nuna ne tamaarsadasa gaana.
then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drank in thy presence,
27 Izika zaaridi intena inte oonakkone inte awappe yidakko ta intena erikke inte makkal7ati wurikka tappe haakkite gaana gides.
and thou hast taught in our streets, But He will say, I tell you, I know you not, whence ye are; depart from me all ye workers of iniquity:
28 Inte Abramenne Yisaqqane Yaqobe nabeta wursota Xoossa kawotethan beyiza wode inte karen yegetti attizza wode he wode intes yeehonne achche garcethi gidana.
and there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves shut out.
29 Asay away mokiza baggafenne wiliza baggafe pude baggafenne duge baggafe yiidi Xoossa kawotetha maaddan uttana.
Yea they shall come from the east, and from the west, and from the north, and from the south, and shall sit down in the kingdom of God.
30 Hekko guyyen dizaytappe bagaz sinthe aadhdhanna sinthan dizaytappe baggati guye aadhdhannayti deetes.
And behold, there are some last who shall be first, and there are first that shall be last.
31 He wode Farsawistappe issi issi assi yiidi “Herdoossay nena wodhanas koyiza gish hayssafe dendda kichcha” gida.
At the same time came some of the pharisees, and said to Him, Go out and depart hence, for Herod intends to kill thee.
32 Yesussay istas “tani buro hachchine wontoone dayiddanthata asappe kessana harggizaytakka pathana heezantho gallas ta ammoso ta gathanna gides gidi he worikkenas yootite” gides.
And He said to them, Go, tell that fox, Behold, I cast out demons and perform cures today and to-morrow; and in a little while I am to be perfected:
33 Gido attin nabey Yerusalemeppe karen hayqqanas besontta gish hachchine wonto wontofeinikka ta hamuth sinth gujjana gides.
but I must procede to-day and to-morrow and the following; for it cannot be supposed that a prophet should be cut off but in Jerusalem.

O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, that killest the prophets and stonest them that are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children, as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, and ye would not?
35 Hekko inte keethay kayzides ta intes yootays Goda sunthan yiza uray anjjettides inte gaana wodey gakanashe nam77antho tana beyekista.
Behold, your house is left unto you desolate: and I assure you ye shall not see me again till the time come when ye shall say, Blessed is He that cometh in the name of the Lord.
