1 Hessafe guye Goday hara laappun tammanne nam77u asa dooridi sunthidees. Istaka nam77u nam77u histtidi izi baanna sootane katamata wursika izeti kasettidi baanamala kiittides.
And, after these things, the Lord appointed seventy two others, and sent them forth, two and two before his face, into every city and place whither, he himself, was about to come.
2 Maxa gakkida kaththay daro kaththa maxi shiishizayti guuthata hessagish kaththa Goday kaththa maxxidi shiishizayta kaththay dizaso yeddanamala woosite gides.
And he was saying unto them—The harvest, indeed, is, great, but, the labourers, few; beg ye, therefore, of the Lord of the harvest, that he would thrust forth, labourers, into his harvest.
3 Hessa gish biite dorssati sudhume giddora biza mala ta intena yedays.
Withdraw! Lo! I send you forth as lambs amid wolves.
4 Korojo woykko qaraxite woykko caamma ekkofite, oge bolla oonakka saro gooppite.
Be not carrying purse, or satchel, or sandals, and, no one along the road, salute ye;
5 Oona keethekka geliza gidikko koyrotidi “keeththa aso saro” giite.
And, into whatsoever house ye enter, First, say, Peace to this house!
6 He keeththan saro dosiza asi diikko inte sarotay hekeeththan shemppana, saro dosiza asi donta agikko inte sarotay intes simana.
And, if the son of peace be, there, your peace, shall rest upon it; but, otherwise, at least, unto you, shall it return.
7 Intes maana shiishida kath wursi miishshenne uyishe he inte gelida keeththan utite, oothiza uras ba woliqa wagga ekkanas izas besses. Ha keethafe he keeth yuuyoppite.
And, in the self-same house, abide ye, eating and drinking such things as they have; for, worthy, is the labourer, of his hire: be not removing from house to house.
8 Inte ay katamakka gakkiza wode asay intena mokki ekkiko isti intes aathida quma miite.
And, into whatsoever city ye shall enter, and they bid you welcome, be eating such things as are set before you;
9 He kataman diza hargganchata pathidi Xoossa kawotethi intekko matides giidi yoottite.
And be curing the sick that are, therein, and be saying unto them—The kingdom of God hath drawn nigh upon you.
10 Gido attin inte biiddi issi katama gelishin he katama asay intena mokki ekkonta ixxikko he katama asay shiiqiza dubbusha kezidi
But, into whatsoever city ye shall enter, and they do not welcome you, going forth into the broadways thereof, say ye:
11 “nu to bolla diza inte katama gudula intes marka gidanamala nu toho boollafe pittos shin Xoossa kawotethay intekko matidaysa erite” giite.
Even the dust that cleaveth unto us, out of your city, unto our feet, do we wipe off against you; nevertheless, of this, be taking notice—The kingdom of God hath drawn near.
12 Ta intes yootays firda gallas he katama firdappe Soddome katama firday shaykko gidana.
I tell you, for them of Sodom, in that day, more tolerable, will it be, than for that city.
13 Kurazine nena ayye, Beette sayida nena ayye intenan oothetida malaatati Xirosaninne Sidonani oothetidakko istikka mayo mayidinne biiddinith gorppettidi he wode beni maaristanashin.
Alas for thee, Chorazin! Alas for thee, Bethsaida! Because, if, in Tyre and Zidon, had been done the works of power which have been down in you, of old, in sackcloth and ashes sitting, they would have repented.
14 Gido attin firda wode intefe Xirosasinne Sidonaas shaykkana.
Moreover, for Tyre and Zidon, more tolerable, will it be, in the judgment, than, for you.
15 Hanne Qifirnahome pude salo dhoqqu dhoqqu gadii? Neni duge si7ole wodhana, (Hadēs )
And, thou, Capernaum, —Unto heaven, shalt thou be uplifted? …Unto hades, thou shalt be brought down! (Hadēs )
16 Inte gizaa siiyiza uray tana siiyes intena ekkonta uray tanakka eekkenna tana ekkontaykka tana kiitidayssa eekkenna.
He that hearkeneth unto you, unto me, doth hearken, and, he that setteth you aside, doth set, me, aside; and, he that setteth, me, aside, doth set aside, him that sent me.
17 Laappun tammanne nam77atikka ufa7etishe simmidi “Godo haray atoshin dayiddanthatikka ne sunthan nuus haaretida” giidi yootida.
And the seventy [-two] returned, with joy, saying—Lord! even the demons, submit themselves unto us, in thy name!
18 Izika istas “xalla7ey wolqantha mala saloppe kundishin ta beyadis” gides.
And he said unto them—I was beholding Satan, when, like lightning, out of heaven, he fell!
19 Histikko shooshshanne masmasonne inte yedhana mala morkke woliqqa wurso bolla intes Godatethi immadis intena qohiza issi miishshkka deenna.
Lo! I have given you the authority—to be treading upon serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and, nothing, unto you, shall in anywise do harm;
20 Inte sunthay salon Xafetida gish ufa7etite attin tuna ayaanaanti intes haaretida gish ufa7etofite
Notwithstanding, in this, be not rejoicing—that, the spirits, unto you submit themselves; but be rejoicing—that, your names, are inscribed in the heavens!
21 He wode Yesussay Xillo Ayaanaan ufa7etidi hizgides “salos biittas Goda gidida aabbo hayssa wursaka cincatappenne eratappe qotada guutha duudde naytas ne qonccisida gish tani nena galatays Ee aabbo haysi ne lo7o sheney hanidees.
In the self-same hour, exulted he in the Holy Spirit, and said—I openly give praise unto thee, Father! Lord of heaven and earth! in that thou hast hid these things from the wise and discerning, and hast revealed them unto babes, —Yea, O Father! that, so, hath it become, a delight, before thee.
22 Wuri ta aawa matappe taas imetides qassekka iza nay oonakkoone aawappe attin eriza uray baawa aaway oonakoone naazappe attin woykko naazi izas qonccisanas dosida urappe attin eriza uray baa”
All things, unto me, have been delivered up by my Father; and, no one, knoweth, who the Son is, save the Father, —and who the Father is, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son may be minded to reveal him.
23 Bena kaallizaytakko simmidi istas dumma “inte beyizzaysa beyiza ayfeti anjjettidayta.
And, turning unto his disciples, privately, he said—Happy, the eyes, that see what ye see!
24 Ta intes tuma gays daro nabetinne kawoti inte ha7i beyizzaysa beyanas koyidi beybeyttenna inte ha7i siiyizaysaka siiyanaas koyidi siybeyitenna.”
For I tell you, Many prophets and kings, have desired to see what, ye, see, and they saw not, and to hear what ye hear, and they heard not.
25 Issi gallas Muse woga tamaarisiza issi uray Yesussa paacanaas koyidi “tamaarisizayso tani medhina deyo laattanas ay oothoo?” gidi oychchides. (aiōnios )
And lo! a certain lawyer, arose, putting him to the test, saying—Teacher! by doing what, shall I inherit, life age-abiding? (aiōnios )
26 Yesussaykka zaaridi woga maxaafan ay geeteti Xafettidee? izape nees geliday aazee? giidi oychchides.
And, he, said unto him—In the law, what is written? how dost thou read?
27 Uray zaaridi “ne Godaa Xoossa ne kumetha wozinappe, ne kumetha shemppofe, ne kumetha woliqqafene, ne kumetha qofappe siiqa, ne laggekka ne hu7e mala siiqa gees” giidi zaarides.
And, he, answering, said—Thou shalt love the Lord thy God, out of all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might, and with all thine intention; and thy neighbour, as thyself?
28 Yesussaykka lo7o zaaradasa nenikka hinnidan oothikko medhina deyo demmna gides.
And he said unto him—Rightly, hast thou answered: This, do, and thou shalt live.
29 Uray bena xilisanaas koyidi “histini ta laggey oonee?” giidi Yesussa oychchides
But, he, wishing to justify himself, said unto Jesus—And, who is, my, neighbour?
30 Yesussaykka zaaridi issi uray Yerusalemeppe Iyarko wodhishin panggati demmida iza mayo qaari ekkida, keehi qoxerethidi hayqqoppenne paxappe giddon yeggi aggi bida.
And taking up [the question], Jesus said—A certain man, was going down from Jerusalem unto Jericho, and, with robbers, fell in, —who, stripping him, and inflicting, wounds, upon him, departed, leaving him, half dead.
31 Issi qeesey he ogera bees duge wodhishe aamunthontta he qoxettida ura demmida pooqethara yegi aadhdhidees.
And, by chance, a certain priest, was coming down by that road, and, seeing him, passed by, on the opposite side.
32 Qassekka issi Lewe baga asappe issi uray he ogera aadhdhishe qoxettida ura beyidi ha7ikka pooqidi aadhdhidees.
And, in like manner, a Levite also, coming down to the place, and seeing him, passed by, on the opposite side.
33 Issi Samaarya biitta asi he ogera aadhdhi bishe qoxettida ura bolla gakki wodhides, ura beyidinne keehi michchetides.
But, a certain Samaritan, going on his journey, came down to him, and, seeing him, was moved with compassion;
34 Urako shiiqidine maduntha dhaallana mala woyra zayitene woyneppe cajje maduntha bolla gusidi qachchides, ura ba hare togisidi imathi shemppizaso efidi lo7ethi xellides.
and, coming near, bound up his bruises, pouring thereon oil and wine, —and, setting him on his own beast, brought him into an inn, and took care of him.
35 Wontetha gallas imathi shemppiza keeththa Godas nam77u dinnare immidinne nena hara miishsha kessisikko ta simashe nees immana neppe kessada lo7etha naaga gides.
And, on the morrow, throwing out two denaries, he gave them to the inn-keeper, and said—Take care of him, and, whatsoever thou shall further spend, I, when on my way back, will duly pay thee.
36 Histiko ha heezu asatappe pangatan qoxetidi hayqqoppenne paxappe giddon yegettida uras keehi mata laggey nees awayssa milatizee?
Which of these three, seemeth unto thee to have become, neighbour, unto him who fell among the robbers?
37 Muse woga tamaarisizayskka michettidaysako! gides. Yesussaykka izas nekka baada izaysatho ootha gides.
And, he, said—He who dealt mercifully with him. And Jesus said unto him—Be taking thy journey, and, thou, be doing, in like manner.
38 Yesussayne iza kaallizayti oge bishin Yesussay issi guta gelides, Marta geetettiza issi maccashiya ba son Yesussa moka ekkadus.
And, as they were journeying, he, entered into a certain village; and, a certain woman, named Martha, welcomed him into her house.
39 Izis Maaramo geetettiza issi michchiya daysu. Maaramakka izappe qaala siyashe Goda toho garsan uttadus.
And, she, had a sister, called Mary, who also, seating herself at the feet of the Lord, was hearing his word.
40 Shin martay ootho daroppe dendidaysani daaburada Yesussako shiiqqada “Godo ta michchiya ootho ubbaa ta bolla agadda utishin neni co7u gaz? Iza tana maaddana mala izis yoota attin” gadus.
But, Martha, was distracted about much ministering, and, coming near, said—Lord! carest thou not that, my sister, hath left me to be ministering, alone? Speak to her, then, that she help me.
41 Gido attin Goday hizgidi izis zaarides “Martanne Martanne neni daro yoho gish qofa darassa, dirbatasa tugatassa.
But the Lord, answering, said to her—Martha! Martha! thou art anxious and troubled about many things:
42 Koshizay gidikko issi miish xalla, Maaramaka lo7o exa dooradus, hessikka izippe ekettenna.”
Of few things, is there need, or, of one; Mary, in fact, hath chosen, the good part, —one which shall not be taken away from her.
