< Yanisa Mishiracho 5 >
1 Hesafe kalidi Ayhudista Ba7lley dizza gish Yesussay Yerussallame bideess.
After these things, was a feast of the Jews, and Jesus went up unto Jerusalem.
2 Yerusalamen doorsi gelizza pennge achchan iibrawista qalara Betesayda getettza issi pulltoofe shiqqida eloo hathey dees. Bollara kamay diza ichachu o7geti dettes.
Now there is in Jerusalem, at the Sheep-gate, a pool, which is called in Hebrew Bethzatha, —having, five porches.
3 Daro hargganchatti, ayyfe qooqeti, to woobetinne to silati ogge bolla zinniidi hathay qaxistana gakanas nagetees.
In these, was lying a throng of them who were sick, —blind, lame, withered.
4 Isi isi woode Goda kiitanchay hathan woodhidi hatha qaththes. haththa qathafe kaldi koyrottdi hathan gelizza hargganchay bena sakiza ay hrggefekka paxes.
5 Hen gadaan heedzdzu tammane oosppun laythth kumeth sakketida isadeey dess.
And there was a certain man there, who, for thirty-eight years, had continued in his sickness.
6 Yessusay Adezza hen zin7idayssa beyddine izi daro laythth saketdayssa eridi “ne paxxana kooyaz?” gidess.
Jesus, seeing, this one, lying, and taking note that now, a long time, had he continued, saith unto him—Desirest thou to be made, well?
7 Hargganchazika zaridi “Godo haththay qaxxetiza woode tana hathan gelththiza assi dena, ta buroo bana gishshin harray tape kaseti hathan gelles.” gidess
The sick man answered him—Sir! I have, no man, that, as soon as the water hath been troubled, might thrust me into the pool; but, while, I, am coming, another, before me, goeth down.
8 Yesussayka Iza “dendda ne zin7ida algga tookada ba” gidess.
Jesus saith unto him—Rise! take up thy couch, and be walking.
9 Adezzikka herakka paxxides. Be algga tooki ekidii bidess. Hessi hanidayy Ayhudista sambbata galassa.
And, straightway, the man was made well and took up his couch, and began to walk. Now it was Sabbath, on that day.
10 Hesa gish Ayhudista hallaqat paxxida Adezza “hach Sambbattara ne algga tokkana mala Musse wogay azazena” gida.
The Jews, therefore, were saying, unto him who had been cured—It is, Sabbath; and it is not allowable for thee to take up thy couch: —
11 Izikka Isttas “ne zini7ida algga tookkda ba gi yotides” gides.
who, however, answered them—He that made me well, he, unto me, said—Take up thy couch, and be walking.
12 Isttikka “nena algga tookkada ba giday oonne?” gi oychchida.
They questioned him—Who is the man that said unto thee, Take up [thy couch], and be walking?
13 Deerey darida gishinne Yesussay hepee hakki bida gish iza oonni paththidakonne adezzi eribeyna.
But, the healed one, knew not, who, it was; for, Jesus, had turned aside, a multitude, being in the place.
14 Hesafe guye Yesussay Adeza Xoossa keeththan demmidi “hekoo ha7i ne paxadasa kaseysafe Adhizza iita miishi ne bolla gakontta mala nam77anththo nagara othofa” gides
After these things, Jesus findeth him, in the temple, and said unto him—See! thou hast become, well: —No more, be committing sin, lest, some worse thing, do thee befall.
15 Adezikka bidinne iza pathiday Yesussa gididaysa Ayhudista dannatas yotides.
The man went away, and told the Jews, that it was, Jesus, who had made him well.
16 Adezza sambbata gallas pathida gish Ayhudista dannat Yesussa oykkana yedi godida.
And, on this account, were the Jews persecuting Jesus, because, these things, he had been doing, on Sabbath.
17 Yesussayka isstas “ta aaway wurso wode oothes, takka othana” gides
But, he, answered them—My Father, until even now, is working; and, I, am working.
18 Hesa gason ayhudista dannat Yesussa wodhana malla kaseppe aththi denththethida, qase izi sammbatta morida gish xalla gidontta “Xoossi ta aawa” gida gishshinne bena Xoossara ginssida gishasa.
On this account, therefore, the rather, were the Jews seeking to slay him, —because, not only was he breaking the Sabbath, but was calling God, his own Father, making, himself, equal, with, God.
19 Yesussay isttsa hizgi zarrides “ta intes tummu gays aaway oothishin be7idaysa othoppe attin nazi ba shenen ayne otheena. Aaway othizaysa iza nay hessathoka oothes.
Jesus, therefore, answered, and went on to say unto them—Verily, verily, I say unto you: The Son cannot be doing, of himself, a single thing, —save anything he may see, the Father, doing; for, whatsoever, he, may be doing, these things, the Son also, in like manner, doeth.
20 Gasoyka Aaway naaza doses ba othzaysakka wursi iza besees, inte malaletontta mala hayssafeka adhiza ootho buro bessana.
For, the Father, dearly loveth the Son, and, all things, pointeth out to him, which, himself, is doing; and, greater works than these, will he point out to him, that, ye, may marvel.

That, all, may honour the Son, just as they honour the Father: he that doth not honour the Son, doth not, in fact, honour the Father who sent him.

26 Gasoykka aaway ba bagra deyooy diza mala nazikka ba baggara deyooy dana mala oothides

And, authority, hath he given him, to be executing, judgment, —because, Son of Man, is he!

and shall come forth, —they who, the good things, have done, unto a resurrection, of life; but, they who the corrupt things, have practised, unto a resurrection, of judgment.

But, I, have, as my witness, something greater than John’s; for, the works which the Father hath given me, that I should complete them, —the works themselves which I am doing, bear witness concerning me, that, the Father, hath sent me.
