On the third day there was a wedding in Cana of Galilee, and Jesus’ mother was there.
2 Yesussayne iza kalizaytikka sargezaso xxeygetida.
Now both Jesus and His disciples were invited to the wedding.
3 Sargezason woynefe agida ushshayi wuriini Yesussa ayaa Yesussa “woyiine ushshayi wurdeskko” gaduss.
When they ran out of wine, Jesus’ mother told Him, “They have no wine.”
4 Yesussaykka izo “Ayye tass nenara azi dizze, ta woddeye gakiibeynakko gides”
Jesus said to her, “Woman, what does that have to do with you and me? My time has not yet come.”
5 He wode Yesussa ayeya Marama hen gadeezzan diza oothanchata “izi initena gizaaysa oththite” gadus.
His mother told the servants, “Do whatever He tells you.”
6 Ayhudatas geshshoo wogayi diza gish usupuuni shuchchafe medhdhetiida gaanetti heen iza ollan dettes, isittikka issay issay nam77u otto wayeko hedzdzuu otto hathth oyikkes.
Nearby stood six stone water jars, the kind used by the Jews for ceremonial washing, each holding two to three metretes.
7 Yesussay oththanichchata “ganeetta heththe kuniithitte” gin isstikka ganetta duunna gakanas cip hisitti kunnththida.
Jesus told the servants, “Fill the jars with water,” so they filled them to the brim.
8 Hassafe qassekka oththanichchate “anne ha7i duqqidi sargeza allafezas izappe duqqii imiite” gidesi. Istika duuqqi imiida.
Then He told them, “Now draw some out and take it to the master of the banquet.” They did so,

and the master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine. He didn’t realize where it had come from, though the servants who had drawn the water knew. Then he called the bridegroom aside
10 “Assi wuri sargeesoon koyyro lo7o usshshi shishshees, asay maththotidappe guye iitta ehes shini ne qass lo7o ushshu hano gakanas woththagadasa.”
and said, “Everyone brings out the choice wine first, and then the cheaper wine after the guests have drunk freely, but you have saved the best till now!”
11 Yesussay hessa mallalisiza malata wursofe koyro Galila getetiza deren Qana katamane othides. Be bonchoka hessamalan xoncisides. Iza kalizaytka izan amanida.
Jesus did this beginning of signs in Cana of Galilee. He revealed His glory, and His disciples believed in Him.
12 Hesafe guye Yesussay ba Ayera ba ishatarane bena kalizaytara duge Qifirnahome wodhidi hen gutha wode deyida.
After this, He went down to Capernaum with His mother, His brothers, and His disciples, and they stayed there only a few days.
13 Ayhudata paziga ba7aaleye matida gish Yesussay Yarussalame bidess.
The time for the Passover of the Jews was near, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
14 Maqqidase gibbe gidon borata doresatanne wolista bayzizayta qassekka mishe lamizayti mishe lamishin demidess.
He found in the temple those who sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the money changers doing business.
15 Hesa beydi wodoro durqafe doqqi ekidi asanne boratakka maqidqse gibefe kesidese, mishsh lamizyta mishaka dharcidi ista xraphezatakka shiri yagidass.
When He had made a whip of cords, He drove them all out of the temple, with the sheep and the oxen, and poured out the changers’ money and overturned the tables.
16 Woole bayziza asakka “hayssa wursi gede digitte ta Awa ketha zale7a keeth histofitte” gidess.
He told those who sold doves, “Take these things away! Don’t make my Father’s house a market place!”
17 He wode iza kalizayti “ne ketha michay tana tamamala xugess” geteti xafetida qaalla hasa7ida.
Then His disciples remembered that it was written, “Zeal for Your house will consume me.”
18 Hesafe guye Ayhude asa halaqati Yesussa “Ne haysssa wurssa oothanas sheney ness dizaysa qoncisanas ne nuna ay malalthiza malata besanee?” gi oychida.
So the Jews answered and asked Him, “What sign do You show to us, since You do these things?”
19 Yesussaykka istas “anne hayssa maqidaseza lalite ta iza heedzdzu galasara zara kexxana” gi zaridess.
Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.”
20 Istika iza “hayssa maqidaseza kexxanas kasa ooydu tammane usupun layth ekidess histin neni hezu glasara kexxa kunthanee?” gi oychida.
Then the Jews said, “It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and will You raise it up in three days?”
21 Gido atin Yesussay “maqqidase” giday ba asatetha gishasa.
But the temple He had spoken of was His body.
22 Hessa gish Yesussay hayqi dendin iza kalizayti he yozza yushi qopidi eridanne hayssa kasse maxafan xafetidaysanne Yesussay istas kaseti yotida qaalla amanida.
After He was raised from the dead, His disciples recalled what He had said. Then they believed the Scripture and the words that Jesus had spoken.
23 Fazigaa ba7ale galas Yesussay Yerusalamen diishe oothida malatataa beydi daro asay iza amanidess.
Now while He was in Jerusalem at the Passover Feast, many people saw the miraculous signs He was doing and believed in His name.
24 Qasse Yesussay asa wursi eriza gish onakka amanibeyna.
But Jesus didn’t commit Himself to them, because He knew all people,
25 Izi aussa wozzinan diza wursi eriza gish onikka izas asa gish yotanas koshibeyna.
and had no need for anyone to testify about people, for He knew what was in people.
