< Yanisa Mishiracho 19 >
1 Hessafe guye Philaxoossay Yesussa eefidi gaarafisiidees.
So Pilate then took Yeshua, and flogged him.
2 Wotadaratikka aguunththa zawuude xaxiidi Yesussa hu7en woththida, zo77o kabakka mayzzida.
The soldiers twisted thorns into a crown, and put it on his head, and dressed him in a purple garment.
3 Izako shiqqi shiqqdi “Ayhuda kawoo saaro saaro!” gi gidi iza shagalan baqqida.
And they kept coming up to him and saying, "Greetings, King of the Jews." and they struck him with their hands.
4 Philaxxossay qasseka kare kesiidi “Heko ta iza bolla aykoo morooka demoonttaysa inte errana mala ta iza intes haa kare kessana” gides.
Then Pilate went out again, and said to them, "Look, I am bringing him out to you, that you may know that I find no basis for a charge against him."
5 Hessa gish Yesussay aguunththa zawuude hu7en woththi ekkidine zo77o kaba maydi kare keziides. Philaxxossayka isttas “Hekoo addezi haysichchi!” gides.
Then Yeshua came out, wearing the crown of thorns and the purple garment. And he said to them, "Look, here is the man."
6 eQessista halaqatine istta ashshikarat Yesussa beeydi “Ne iza kaqqa! kaqqa!” gishe wasiida, Philaxxossay qasse “Ta ta baggara iza bolla issi moroka demmabeyke, koykoo inte ehaaththaidii kaqqite” gides.
When therefore the chief cohanim and the officers saw him, they shouted, saying, "Crucify. Crucify." Pilate said to them, "Take him yourselves, and crucify him, for I find no basis for a charge against him."
7 Ayhuda asati qasse “Nuus wogay dees haysi addezi beena xoossa na giza gish nu woga mala izas hayqqoy besees” gida.
The Jewish leaders answered him, "We have a law, and by that law he ought to die, because he made himself the Son of God."
8 Philaxxossay hessa istti gizaysa siydi daroo babides.
When therefore Pilate heard this saying, he was more afraid.
9 Gede gibbe gelidi Yesussa “ne awape yadii?” gidi oychchidees. Yesussay qasse izas ayy malththeka immibeyna.
He entered into the Praetorium again, and said to Yeshua, "Where are you from?" But Yeshua gave him no answer.
10 Hessa gish Philaxxossay “ne tas yootiki? ta nena kaqqanas woykko birsha yedanas godatethi tas dizayssa errikii?” gides.
Pilate therefore said to him, "Are you not speaking to me? Do you not know that I have power to release you, and have power to crucify you?"
11 Yesussayka izas zaaridi “sheeney ness Xoossafe immetoonttako nes ta bolla ay godatethika deenashin, gido attin tana nes aththi immidade bolla gita nagaray dees” gides.
Yeshua answered, "You would have no power at all against me, unless it were given to you from above. Therefore he who delivered me to you has greater sin."
12 Philaxxossay hessa Yesussa hassa7e siydapee guye iza birshi yedana koyides shin Ayudatas babida gish istti “ne hayssa addeza birshiko Rome kawoo qeessare bagga gidaka, gasooyka bena berkka kawooththizadey wuri Qeessares moorkke” gishe wurikka wasiida.
At this, Pilate was seeking to release him, but the Jewish leaders shouted, saying, "If you release this man, you are not Caesar's friend. Everyone who makes himself a king speaks against Caesar."
13 Philaxxossay hessa siyda mala Yesussa gede kare kesisidi “Loochcha shuchchu” geetettiza soon pirda wombbaran uttides. He pirda sooy ayhudata qaalara “Gabata” getetes.
When Pilate therefore heard these words, he brought Yeshua out, and sat down on the judgment seat at a place called "The Pavement," but in Hebrew, "Gabbatha."
14 He wode gadeey asii paziga ba77eles gigettiza gaalasa. Wodeyka gaalasafe usuupun saate mala gidides. He wode Philaxxosay Ayhudata “Hekoo inte kawoy hayssichii!” gides.
Now it was the Preparation Day of the Passover, at about noon. He said to the Jewish leaders, "Look, here is your King."
15 Gido attin istti qass “Gede digga, gede digga, kaqqa” gishe wasiida. Philaxxossayka “inte kawoo kaqqoo?” gides. Qeessista halaqati zaaridi “nus Qessarepe hara kawooy deena” gida.
They shouted, "Away with him. Away with him. Crucify him." Pilate said to them, "Shall I crucify your King?" The chief cohanim answered, "We have no king but Caesar."
16 Hessafe simmidi Philaxxosay Yesussa kaqqistana mala isttas aththi immides. Isttka Yesussa oykki ekkii ehaaththaida.
So then he delivered him to them to be crucified. So they took Yeshua.
17 Hessafe guye Yesussay ba kaqqistana masqqaleza tookidii “Asa hu7ee guuge” geetettizaso kezides. He sooy Ayhudata qaalara “Golggoota” geetetes.
And he went out, carrying the cross himself, to the place called "The Place of a Skull," which is called in Hebrew, "Golgotha,"
18 Iza heen kaqqiida. Yesussa gidoo gelththidi hara namm7u asata izatho hadirssarane oshshachchara kaqqidda.
where they crucified him, and with him two others, on either side one, and Yeshua in the middle.
19 Philaxxossay “Nazzirete Yesussay Ayhudata kawoo” giza qaala xaafidi iza masqqale bolla izas hu7esora qaphides.
Pilate wrote a title also, and put it on the cross. There was written, "YESHUA THE NAZOREAN, THE KING OF THE JEWS."
20 Yesussay kaqqetidasooy katamas mata gidida gish daroo Ayhuda asay Philaxxossay xaafidaysa nababidees. Xaafeetidaysika Ayhudata qaalara, Latiine geetettiza qaalarane Girikee qaalarako.
Therefore many Jews read this title, for the place where Yeshua was crucified was near the city; and it was written in Hebrew, in Latin, and in Greek.
21 Ayhudata qeessata Halaqati Philaxxossa “ne iza Ayhudata kawoo” gada xaafoopa, Gido attin “(haysi addezii bena ta Ayhudata kawoo gidees) gada xaafa” gida.
The chief cohanim of the Jewish people therefore said to Pilate, "Do not write, 'The King of the Jews,' but, 'he said, I am King of the Jews.'"
22 Philaxxossay qass “Ta xaafidaysa xaafadis” gides.
Pilate answered, "What I have written, I have written."
23 Wootadarati Yesussa kaqqidape guye iza mayooza ekkidi wotadarata issa issa gakana mala oydu kessi shakereththida. Garsara mayiza mayozaka hessaththo shakereththida. Ggido attin garsara mayza mayoz siketoontta pudepe duge gakkanaas coo yeda dees.
Then the soldiers, when they had crucified Yeshua, took his clothes and made four parts, to every soldier a part; and also the tunic. Now the tunic was without seam, woven from the top throughout.
24 Hessa gish wotadarati ba garssan “Gishan oonna gakkanakoone errana mala iza bolla exxa yeggana attin dakooko” gida. Hessika hanidday kase “Ta mayoo istti gishshetii ekkida, ta bollara mayza mayoza bolla exxa yegiida” getetida geesha maxaafa qaalay poleistana malasa. Wotararatikka heesa oothida.
Then they said to one another, "Let us not tear it, but cast lots for it to decide whose it will be," that the Scripture might be fulfilled, which says, "They divided my clothes among themselves, and for my clothing they cast a lot." Therefore the soldiers did these things.
25 Yesussa masqqalle achchan iza aayiyane aayeeyi michchiya Qeliyyopha machcha Maramane Megidele geetettizasope yida Marama heen eqqida.
But there were standing by the cross of Yeshua his mother, and his mother's sister, Miriam the wife of Cleopas, and Miriam from Magdala.
26 Yesussay ba ayiyone izi siqqza iza kaallizaysi ba achchan eqqidayta beeydi, ba aayiyo “Aayee ne naza hessa beeya” gides.
Therefore when Yeshua saw his mother, and the talmid whom he loved standing there, he said to his mother, "Woman, look, your son."
27 Hessafe kaalleththidi bena kaallizaysa “Ne ayo hinoo beeya” gides. Hinoo he saateype simmin he iza kaallizaysi Aayiyo besso ehaaththaidees.
Then he said to the talmid, "Look, your mother." From that hour, the talmid took her to his own home.
28 Hessafe guye Yesussay ha7i wurikka poleettidaysa erridi geesha maxaafan xaafetdaysi poleistana mala “tana samees” gides.
After this, Yeshua, knowing that all things were now finished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said, "I am thirsty."
29 Heen gadan caala phanqqida ushshii kumii uttida issi xaarro malay dees. Hessa gish heen gadan dizayti he caala ushsha zanzza milatza sppoonjje gizaysara hisophphe giza miththa xeeran qaphidi iza dunako shishshida.
A vessel full of sour wine was set there; so they put a sponge full of the vinegar on hyssop, and held it at his mouth.
30 Yesussay he caalla ushsha xunxxi xeellidi “poleetides!” gides. Be hu7e duge ziqisidi shempo kezides.
When Yeshua therefore had received the vinegar, he said, "It is finished." He bowed his head, and gave up his spirit.
31 Hessafe guye Ayhudata danati kaqqetida asata meeqqethth wodirape menththidi istt iza masqqsale bollafe woththana mala Philaxxossa wossiida. Istti hessa ooththiday Ayhudati sambbatas gigetiza gaalas gidida gishshine he sambbatayka daroo giita ba77ale gidida gish sambbata gaalas ahay masqqale bolla gami77ontta malla koyida gishasa.
Therefore the Jewish leaders, because it was the Preparation Day, so that the bodies would not remain on the cross on the Sabbath (for that Sabbath was a special one), asked of Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.
32 Hessa gish wotadarati bidii Yesussara kaqqetiida asata meqqethth wodiirape wodiirape menththida.
Therefore the soldiers came, and broke the legs of the first, and of the other who was crucified with him;
33 Istti Yesussako biin izi kasetidinee hayqqdaysa beeydi iza wodiira meqqethth menththibeyteena.
but when they came to Yeshua, and saw that he was already dead, they did not break his legs.
34 Gido attin wotadarata garssafe issadey toorara iza miileen cadiin heeraka suththine haththi gukkidees.
However one of the soldiers pierced his side with a spear, and immediately blood and water came out.
35 Hessa beeydadeyi inte izan ammanana mala markkattdes. Iza markkayka tuma. Izi yootzayka tumu gididaysa izi errees.
He who has seen has testified, and his testimony is true. He knows that he tells the truth, that you may believe.
36 Hessika haniday “Iza meqqeththafe isinaka meeqquku” geetetida geesha maxaafa qaalay polistanassa.
For these things happened, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, "A bone of him will not be broken."
37 Qasseka geesha maxafa harason “Istti ba caadide beeyana” gees.
Again another Scripture says, "They will look on him whom they pierced."
38 Ayhudata dannata babidi qotan Yesussa kaalliza Armmatyasa getetizasoppe yida Yossefoy Yesussa aha ekkanas Philaxoossa wossin Philaxoossayka izas eeroo gides. Hessa gish Yossefoy bidi Yesussa aha ekkidees.
After these things, Joseph of Arimateh, being a talmid of Yeshua, but secretly for fear of the Jewish leaders, asked of Pilate that he might take away the body of Yeshua. Pilate gave him permission. He came therefore and took away his body.
39 Kase Yesussakko qamara yida Niqoodimossayka kiilo bagga gidiza karbbeenne ireete geetettiza mishshara walakeetida shiito ekki yidees.
Nicodemus, who at first came to Yeshua by night, also came bringing a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about seventy-five pounds.
40 He namm7u asati Yesussa aha ekkidi Ayhudatii aha xaxiza mala shiito cacafidii le77e mayora xaxida.
So they took the body of Yeshua, and bound it in linen cloths with the spices, according to Jewish burial practice.
41 Yesussay kaqqetidason issi akakilitesoy dees. He akakilitezason oonnika moggetonttay oraththa dufooy dess.
Now in the place where he was crucified there was a garden. In the garden was a new tomb in which no one had ever yet been placed.
42 Ayhudata sambbatas gigeteza gaalas gidida gishshinne dufooykka matan diza gish Yesussa aha heen mogiida.
Then because of the Jewish Preparation Day (for the tomb was nearby) they put Yeshua there.
