1 Qasseka Yesussay hizzgdes “tummu woyne miththa anoy tana, akakilitteza ooththanchay ta aawa.
“Ena Na [I AM (the Living God)] the true vine, and 'Avi ·my Father· is the farmer.
2 Ta bolla dishe ayfe immoontta hangge wuris ta aaway qanxxii diigana, ayfiza hangge gujji ayfaana mala qirxxi geshshana.
Every branch in me that does not bear fruit, he takes away. Every branch that bears fruit, he prunes, that it may bear more fruit.
3 ta intes yootda qaala gaason inte hai geshshata.
You are already pruned clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.
4 Tanan diite, taka intenan dana, hanggey woyne ano bolla doontta aggiko berkka ayfe ayfana danddaonttaysa mala inteka tanan doontta dishshe ayfee ayfanas danddaekista.
Remain in me, and I in you. As the branch can’t bear fruit by itself, unless it remains in the vine, so neither can you, unless you remain in me.
5 Tane woyne miththa ano, inte qass hanggista, daroo ayfee ayfizadey tanan dizadene taka izan dizade, gasooyka ta bayndda inte aykoka ooththanas danddaekista.
Ena Na [I AM (the Living God)] the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me, and I in him, the same bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.
6 Tanan baynddadeey qanxxetidi woora yegetida hangge mala kare yegetidi hen melana, heyta mala hanggista issi bolla shiqqid taman yegistanane exxana.
If a man does not remain in me, he is thrown out as a branch, and is withered; and they gather them, throw them into the fire, and they are burned.
7 Inte tanan diiko ta qaalayka intenan diiko inte koydaysa oychchiko demmana.
If you remain in me, and my words remain in you, you will ask whatever you desire, and it will be done for you.
8 Daroo ayfee inte ayfishin ta aaway bonchetes, hessa malan inte tana kaallizayta gididaysi hessan erristana.
“In this is 'Avi ·my Father· glorified, that you bear much fruit; and so you will be my disciples.
9 Aaway tana dosiidaysatho taka intena dosadis, hessa gish inte ta siqqoon diite.
Even as haAbba ·the Father· has agapao ·totally devoted love· for me, I also have shown agapao ·totally devoted love· for you. Remain in my agape ·unconditional love·.
10 Tani ta aawa azazo polada iza siqqoon deyda mala inteka ta azazoo poliko ta siqqoon deyana.
If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my agape ·unconditional love·; even as I have kept 'Avi ·my Father·’s commandments, and remain in his agape ·unconditional love·.
11 Haysa ta intes yootzay ta uhaaththaaysii intenan gidana malane inte uhaaththaaysiika kumethth gidanasiko.
I have spoken these things to you, that my joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be made full.
12 Ta intes immiza azazoy ta intena siqqida mala inteka inte garssan isay isara siqqistanasiko.
“This is my commandment, that you have agapao ·total devotion love· to one another, even as I have shown agapao ·total devotion love· to you.
13 Asi ba lagees ba shemhaaththao aththii immope adhiiza siqqooy deena.
Greater agape ·unconditional love· has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.
14 Ta Intena ta azazii wursi inte poliko inte ta laggeta.
You are my friends, if you do whatever I enjoin you.
15 Ashshikaray goday ooththizaysa erroontta gish simma hayssafe guyee ta intena ashshikarata giikee, gido attin tani ta aawape siydaysa wursa intes qonccisiida gish ta intena ta laggeta gadiis.
No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his lord does. But I have called you friends, for everything that I heard from 'Avi ·my Father·, I have made known to you.
16 Ta intena doradiis attin inte tana doribeykista, inte bidi daroo ayfee ayfana mala inte ayfeey eeqi dana mala ta intena wothadis, hessa gish inte ta sunththan woosidaysa wursi aaway intes immana.
You didn’t choose me, but I chose you, and appointed you, that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain; that whatever you will ask of haAbba ·the Father· in my name, he may give it to you.
17 hessa gish inte intee garssan isay isara siqqistana mala ta intena azazays.
“I enjoin these things to you, that you may have agapao ·totally devoted love· to one another.
18 Kaalethidika Yesussay hizzgdes. “intena derey ixxiko intefee kase tana ixxidaysa errite.
If the world hates you, you know that it has hated me before it hated you.
19 Inte ammanoontta dere asa gidikoo dere asay ba bagga gididade doses, gido attin inte dere bagga gidontta gish ta intena derepe shakkada dorida gish derey intena ixxees.
If you were of the world, the world would phileo ·affectionately love, have high regard for· its own. But because you are not of the world, since I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.
20 Ashshikaray godape adhena gada ta kase intes yootoysa yushsh qoopite, istti tana godizayti intenaka goddana, istt ta qaala naggizako inte qaala naggana.
Remember the word that I said to you: ‘A servant is not greater than his lord.’ If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you. If they kept my word, they will keep yours also.
21 Istti tana kittidade errontta gish ta gaason inte bolla hessa wursi ooththana.
But all these things will they do to you for my name’s sake, because they don’t know him who sent me.
22 Ta yada isttas yootonttako isttas nagara gidenashin, hai qass istta nagaras haano giza gasooy bawa.
If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not have had abstract sin ·miss the mark·; but now they have no excuse for their abstract sin ·miss the mark·.
23 Tana ixxizadey ta aawaka ixxes.
He who hates me, hates 'Avi ·my Father· also.
24 Hara urray oosontta ooso ta istta garssan oosonttako isttas nagara gideenashin hai istt hessa wursi beeydape guyee tanaka ta aawaka ixxida.
If I hadn’t done among them the works which no one else did, they would not have had abstract sin ·miss the mark·. But now have they seen and also hated both me and 'Avi ·my Father·.
25 Hessika handday kase (tana gasooy bayndda dishin ixxida) geetetdi istta wogan xaafetda qaalay polistanasiko.
But this happened so that the word may be fulfilled which was written in their Torah ·Teaching, ‘They hated me for no reason at all.’
26 “Gido attin aawape kezidi yanays taka ta aawa achchafe intes yedanays tumma ayanay minththethzays yidi izi ta gish markkatana.
“When the Counselor has come, whom I will send to you from haAbba ·the Father·, haRuach [the Spirit, Breath] of truth, who proceeds from haAbba ·the Father·, he will testify about me.
27 Inte koyropeka tanara diza gish tas inteka markkatanddista.”
You will also testify, because you have been with me from the beginning.
