1 Paziga ba77eles buro usuppun gaalas attishin Yesussay hayqqope denththida Allazarey dizaso biitaniya bides.
Then, six days before the Passover, Yeshua came to Bethany, where Lazarus was, who had been dead, whom he raised from the dead.
2 hen Yesussas kawo kaththida Marttay iza kawo muzishin izara isife maaddan uttdaytape issay Allazareko.
So they made him a supper there. Martha served, but Lazarus was one of those who sat at the table with him.
3 Maramma daroo allo7o wagara shameetda liitroo bagga gidiza geshsha nardoosa shittoo ekka yada Yesussa too bolla gussada tooza ba huee ithkera quccadus, keethaka shittoo sawoy kummidees.
Therefore Miriam took a pound of ointment of pure nard, very precious, and anointed Yeshua’s feet and wiped his feet with her hair. The house was filled with the fragrance of the ointment.
4 Yesussa kaalliizaytape issay Yesussa aththi immana Asqqoroto Yudday hessa ixxid
Then Judah Iscariot, Simon’s son, one of his disciples, who would betray him, said,
5 “Haysi shittoozi heedzdzu xeetu dinares bayzeetdii miishshay aazas manqqotas immetbeynee?” gides.
“Why wasn’t this ointment sold for three hundred denarii and given to the poor?”
6 Izi hessa giday mishsha shishshza karaxxte oykkzadey iza gididda gish shiqqza mishshafe bees shishshdi goetzadee gidida gishasa, attin manqqotas michchetdii gidena.
Now he said this, not because he cared for the poor, but because he was a thief, and having the money box, used to steal what was put into it.
7 Yesussa qasse hizzgdees “haysi shittoozi tas mooggo gaalasas qoofetdaz gidida gish he woode gakkanaas iza ba achchan nagu bochchofte.
But Yeshua said, “Leave her alone. She has kept this for the day of my burial.
8 Manqqooti ay woodeka intenara detees, gidoo attin inte tana wuriso woode demmekista.”
For you always have the poor with you, but you don’t always have me.”
9 He woode daroo Ayhuda asati Yesussay hen dizaysa erridi izakoo yida, yidaytkka yesussa xalala koyda gidoontta Yesussay hayqqoope denththida Allazareka beyanaskko.
A large crowd therefore of the Judeans learned that he was there; and they came, not for Yeshua’s sake only, but that they might see Lazarus also, whom he had raised from the dead.
10 Hessa gish qeessata halaqati Yesussara Allazareka gathii wodhanas ba garssan zooretda.
But the chief priests conspired to put Lazarus to death also,
11 Hessika Allazare gedoon daroo Ayhuda asay Yesussako bi bidi iza ammaniiza gishasiko.
because on account of him many of the Judeans went away and believed in Yeshua.
12 Wonttetha gaalas ba77eleza bonchana yida derey Yesussay Yerusalame yizaysa siydees.
On the next day a great multitude had come to the feast. When they heard that Yeshua was coming to Jerusalem,
13 Zammba heyththi ekkdi Yesussa mokkan kezzdes, derey qaala dhoqu histtdi hizzgdes “hosaeena!” goda sunththan yiza isiraele kawooy anjjetdade!”
they took the branches of the palm trees and went out to meet him, and cried out, “Hoshia'na! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord, the King of Israel!”
14 Kase “hane! xiyonee nayee baboofa! hekoo ne kawooy haree gutte toogdii yess” geetetii xaafetda mala Yesussay hare gutte demmidi toogiides.
Yeshua, having found a young donkey, sat on it. As it is written,
“Don’t be afraid, daughter of Zion. Behold, your King comes, sitting on a donkey’s colt.”
16 Iza kaallizayti hessa wuris koyyro wozinan woththbeytana, iza gish xaafettdaysane izas ooththetda hanoka wuris Yesussay hayqqope denddidape guye errida.
His disciples didn’t understand these things at first, but when Yeshua was glorified, then they remembered that these things were written about him, and that they had done these things to him.
17 Al77ezare duhaaththaope xeeygidi hayqqope denththida woode ezara isife diza asay iza denththa gish markkattda.
The multitude therefore that was with him when he called Lazarus out of the tomb and raised him from the dead was testifying about it.
18 Daroo asayka izi hessa mala giita malata ooththidaysa siydi iza mokkana kezides.
For this cause also the multitude went and met him, because they heard that he had done this sign.
19 Hessa gish parssaweti ba garssan isay issa “histtin ay ooththana danddaizoon? Beyte! kummetha derey atoontta iza kaalles” gida.
The Pharisees therefore said among themselves, “See how you accomplish nothing. Behold, the world has gone after him.”
20 Goynanas ba77elezas shiqqda asa garssan girrike dere asatika dettes.
Now there were certain Greeks among those who went up to worship at the feast.
21 Isttika gaalila garssan diza beete sayda geetettza dere ass pilphphosa geetetzadeko bidi “Goodo nu Yesussa beeyana koyos” gida.
Therefore, these came to Philip, who was from Bethsaida of Galilee, and asked him, saying, “Sir, we want to see Yeshua.”
22 pilphphosayka inddirasas yootdes, inddirasayne pilphphosay bidi Yesussas yootda.
Philip came and told Andrew, and in turn, Andrew came with Philip, and they told Yeshua.
23 Yesussayka isttas hizzgdes “heko asa nay bonchetza saatey gakkides.
Yeshua answered them, “The time has come for the Son of Man to be glorified.
24 Ta intes tummu gays gistte ayfey biitan wodhada hayqqontta coou ga uttko berkka atawus, iza hayqqza gidiko hara daroo ayfawusu.
Most certainly I tell you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains by itself alone. But if it dies, it bears much fruit.
25 Be shemhaaththao dosizadey dhaysess, hayssa biita bolla ba shemhaaththao ixxizadey gidiko medhina deyooy nages. (aiōnios g166)
He who loves his life will lose it. He who hates his life in this world will keep it to eternal life. (aiōnios g166)
26 Tas ooththana koyzadey tana, tas ooththzadey ta dizason dana, tas ooththzade ta aaway iza bonchana.
If anyone serves me, let him follow me. Where I am, there my servant will also be. If anyone serves me, the Father will honor him.
27 Qasseka Yesussay hizzgdes “heko ta shemhaaththaoya mettotadus (aabo! ha saateype tana ashsha goosha?) ta hizzgonta mala ta yiday hano ha metto saateysiko.
“Now my soul is troubled. What shall I say? ‘Father, save me from this time’? But I came to this time for this cause.
28 aabo! ne ne sunththa boncha” hessafe kaalid “ta ta sunthth bonchadis, qasseka gujja bonchana” giza qaalay salope yides.
Father, glorify your name!” Then a voice came out of the sky, saying, “I have both glorified it and will glorify it again.”
29 Hen gadan eqqda asay hessa siydi “daday dadates” gida, baggayti qasse “kitanchako hasaizadey” gida.
Therefore the multitude who stood by and heard it said that it had thundered. Others said, “An angel has spoken to him.”
30 Yesussay hizzgdes “haysi giirethay yiday inte gishasa attin ta gish gidena.
Yeshua answered, “This voice hasn’t come for my sake, but for your sakes.
31 Haysi allamey pirdistana woodey hayssa, hayssa dereza hariza xalaey hai gede kare yegistana.
Now is the judgment of this world. Now the prince of this world will be cast out.
32 Tani dhoqqu gada kaqqetza woode asa wursa tako zaarana.”
And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself.”
33 Yesussay hessa yootday izi ay mala hayqqo hayqqanakoo errisanasiko.
But he said this, signifying by what kind of death he should die.
34 Asay qasse “nu woogan xaafettday (xoossay kittidadey medhinas dana) ges histtin ne qasse wanada (asa nay dhoqu gi kaqqistana beses) gazz? ne giza asanay awaysee?” gidi oychchida. (aiōn g165)
The multitude answered him, “We have heard out of the law that the Messiah remains forever. How do you say, ‘The Son of Man must be lifted up’? Who is this Son of Man?” (aiōn g165)
35 Yesussay isttas hizzgdes “hai guutha woodes intenara poo7oy des, gadey dhumontta poo7ora hamutite, qamara hamutzadey izi awa bizakonee errena.
Yeshua therefore said to them, “Yet a little while the light is with you. Walk while you have the light, that darkness doesn’t overtake you. He who walks in the darkness doesn’t know where he is going.
36 Inte poo7o nayta gidana mala poo7oy dishin poo7on ammanite” Yesussay hessa gidape guye bidi istta ayfepe gemmides.
While you have the light, believe in the light, that you may become children of light.” Yeshua said these things, and he departed and hid himself from them.
37 Yesussay isttas hessa mala malata istta sinththan ooththinkka ayhudat izan ammanbbeytena.
But though he had done so many signs before them, yet they didn’t believe in him,
38 Hesi haniday nabe isiyasay “goodo! nu markkatethi ammaniday oonne? Xoossa qaalay ooss qonccide?” gidi
that the word of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spoke: “Lord, who has believed our report? To whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?”
39 Hessa gish ammananas danddaibeytena, gasooyka nabe isiyasay kase hizzgii xaafida gishshasiko.
For this cause they couldn’t believe, for Isaiah said again:
40 “Isttii ba ayfen beeydi, ba wozinan yushshi qoopidi simmontta malane izi istta paththontta mala Xoossi istta ayfe qooqisides, istta wozinaka mumisides.”
“He has blinded their eyes and he hardened their heart, lest they should see with their eyes, and perceive with their heart, and would turn, and I would heal them.”
41 Isiyasay hessa giday xoossay kittidade boncho beeyida gishshasa, hessa gish hessa Yesussay geesh yootdes.
Isaiah said these things when he saw his glory, and spoke of him.
42 Gidikoka ayhudista halaqatape daroo asay Yesussa ammanides, gido attin istta ayhudata woosa keethafe godontta mala parssawistas babiidi ba ammano qonccen markkatibeeytena.
Nevertheless, even many of the rulers believed in him, but because of the Pharisees they didn’t confess it, so that they wouldn’t be put out of the synagogue,
43 Istti hessaththo haniday isttas Xoossafe immettza bonchofe aththidi asape immetza boncho dosida gishasa.
for they loved men’s praise more than God’s praise.
44 Yesussay ba qaala dhoqu histtdii hizzgides “tana ammanizadey tanan xalala gidontta tana kittdadenkka ammanes.
Yeshua cried out and said, “Whoever believes in me, believes not in me, but in him who sent me.
45 Tana beeydadey tana kittdadeeka beeyana.
He who sees me sees him who sent me.
46 Tana ammanizay wuri dhuman dontta mala ta poo7o gidada hayssa ha allameza yadis.
I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in me may not remain in the darkness.
47 Ta qaala siydi oosonttade bolla pirdanay tana gidike, gasooyka ta yiday dere ashshanas attin dere bolla pirdanas gidena.
If anyone listens to my sayings and doesn’t believe, I don’t judge him. For I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
48 Tana koyonttadene ta qaala ekkonttade bolla pirdanadey dees, ta izas yootda qaalay wuriseththa gaalas iza bolla pirdana.
He who rejects me, and doesn’t receive my sayings, has one who judges him. The word that I spoke will judge him in the last day.
49 Gasooyka tani coo ta sheeneni yootabeyke, ta gizaysane ta yootza azazo tas immiday tana kittda ta aawako.
For I spoke not from myself, but the Father who sent me gave me a commandment, what I should say and what I should speak.
50 Iza azazoy medhina deyoo gididaysa ta errays, hessa gish ta yootzay wuri aaway tas yootdaysako. (aiōnios g166)
I know that his commandment is eternal life. The things therefore which I speak, even as the Father has said to me, so I speak.” (aiōnios g166)
