< Ibirawe 4 >
1 Gede shemposo gelanas immetida ufaysay ha7ika naageti diza gishshi inte gidofe oonikka hessas besonttade gidontta mala ane naagetos.
We may fear, then, lest a promise being left of entering into His rest, any one of you may seem to have come short,
2 Heytanttas sabaketid mala nuusika mishshiracho qaalay sabakettides. Gidikoka siyida asatas siyida qaalay ammanon walaketontta aggida gishshi istta maadibeyna.
for we also are having good news proclaimed, even as they, but the word heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard,
3 Nu qasse ammanizayti he shempo sooza gelana. Xoossi “Hessa gishshi tani ta hanqon (Istti ta shemposo muleka geletena) gaada ta caaqadis” gides. Gido attin hayssi alamey medhetosope ha simmin iza oothoy poletides.
for we do enter into the rest — we who did believe, as He said, 'So I sware in My anger, If they shall enter into My rest —;' and yet the works were done from the foundation of the world,
4 Issi son lapunththo gallas agishshi “Lapunththo galasi Xoossi ootho wurisofe shempides” geeteti geisha maxaafan xaafetides.
for He spake in a certain place concerning the seventh [day] thus: 'And God did rest in the seventh day from all His works;'
5 Qasseka he sozan “tumappe istti ta shemposo muleka geletena” gees.
and in this [place] again, 'If they shall enter into My rest —;'
6 Iza shemposo buro gelana issi issi asati deetes. Kase isttas mishshiracho qaalay sabaketidayti azazetontta ixxida gishshi iza shemposo istti gelibeytena.
since then, it remaineth for certain to enter into it, and those who did first hear good news entered not in because of unbelief —
7 Hessa gishshi Xoossi “Hachchi” giidi qasseka hara gallas wothides. Hessika aro laythatape guye Dawite baggara “Hachchi inte iza qaala siyiko inte wozina muumisopite” geeteti kase yootetida mala hanides.
again He doth limit a certain day, 'To-day,' (in David saying, after so long a time, ) as it hath been said, 'To-day, if His voice ye may hear, ye may not harden your hearts,'
8 Iyaasoy isttas shempo immidako Xoossi hara gallas giidi yootenakoshin.
for if Joshua had given them rest, He would not concerning another day have spoken after these things;
9 Hessa gishshi sambata gallas shempoy Xoossa deres ha7ika dees.
there doth remain, then, a sabbatic rest to the people of God,
10 Gaasoyka Xoossa shemposo gelizay wuri Xoossi oothi shempida mala izika ba oothope shempana.
for he who did enter into his rest, he also rested from his works, as God from His own.
11 Hessa gishshi oonikka heytantta mala azazetontta ixxidayssa lemuso kaallidi kundontta mala he shemposoyo gelanas ane minos.
May we be diligent, then, to enter into that rest, that no one in the same example of the unbelief may fall,
12 Xoossa qaalay paxxa dizayssane oothiza qaalako. Nam77u bagga qara mashafeka adhdhi qara; Shempone ayana; shayane qinccifileka shaakana gakanas caades. Wozina qofane amotethaka paaci xeeles.
for the reckoning of God is living, and working, and sharp above every two-edged sword, and piercing unto the dividing asunder both of soul and spirit, of joints also and marrow, and a discerner of thoughts and intents of the heart;
13 Xoossa ayfefe geemetida medhetay muleka deena. Nu izas nu gishshi malithe immanas bessiza iza sinthan hanoy wurikka qonccen kallo dees.
and there is not a created thing not manifest before Him, but all things [are] naked and open to His eyes — with whom is our reckoning.
14 Hessa gishshi pude salo bida qessista halaqa Xoossa na Yesusay nuus diza gishshi ane nuni nu ammano minthi oykosu.
Having, then, a great chief priest passed through the heavens — Jesus the Son of God — may we hold fast the profession,
15 Nu daburishin nuus qadhetana danda7iza qessista halaqay nuusu dees. Izi nu mala wuriso mishshan paaacetides. Gidikoka izi ayko nagaraka oothibena.
for we have not a chief priest unable to sympathise with our infirmities, but [one] tempted in all things in like manner — apart from sin;
16 Hessa gishshi nuni maarotethi ekanasine nuna koshiza wode nuna maadiza iza kiyateth nu demmana mala gede iza maarotetha aliggako ane ammanon shiiqos.
we may come near, then, with freedom, to the throne of the grace, that we may receive kindness, and find grace — for seasonable help.
