< Gelatiyan 4 >
1 Ta gizay aawape yelettida nay aawa latay izas gidikokka izi bidi latana gakanas aylefe duma gidena.
But I say the heir, for as long a time as he is a child, differs nothing from a bondman though he is lord of all.
2 Iza aaway izi diccidi giita gidana gakanas dichizade kushe gasan deyos.
Instead he is under stewards and managers until the time appointed from the father.
3 Nuka buro natethan diza wode hayssa 7alameza timirte mala ayletethan hareti deydos. Wogga garisara yeleti ba naza yeddides.
And so when we were children, we were in bondage under the rudiments of the world.
4 Gido attiin kasse ba qopii wothida wodey gakin Xoossi maccashayfe yelettidaysa Muse woggape garisara yeleti ba naza yeddides.
But when the fullness of the time came, God sent forth his Son, born from a woman, born under law,
5 Hesika nuni iza naa gidanamalane Muse wogga garisan dizayta wozana mala hanides.
so that he might redeem those under law, so that we might receive the sonship.
6 Inte iza na gidida gish Xoossa “Nu aawa obo” gidi xaygiza ba naza ayana nu wozina gido yeddides.
And because ye are sons, God sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
7 Hesa gish hayssafe guye ne nape attiin ayle gidaka. Nuni na gidida gish Xoossi nena bena latizade histides.
So that thou are no longer a bondman but a son, and if a son, then an heir through Christ.
8 Inte Xoosu eranape kasse Xoosu gidonta eqatas aylista.
But of course not knowing God then, ye were in bondage to those in nature who are not gods,
9 Ha7i qasse Xoosu eridista hessafeka Xoossan eretidista. Histin qasseka guye simidi ede goy7ay baynda co daburisiza timrteka wanidi simizeti. Simidi qaseka ayletetha qamibaran waxistana koyeti?
but now knowing God, but rather being known by God, how is it ye turn again to the weak and destitute elements to which ye desire again to be in bondage anew?
10 Duma galasata aginata wodetane laythata bonchideti?
Ye observe days, and months, and times, and years.
11 Ta inte bolla daburidays co mela gidande gada babaysi
I am afraid of you, lest somehow I have labored toward you in vain.
12 Ta ishato ta intena milatidamala inteka tana milatanamala ta intena wasays. Inte tana aykoka qohibeykista.
I beseech you, brothers, become like me, because I also am like ye. Ye wronged me in nothing.
13 Inte erizamala ta intes koyro mishiracho qaala sabakiday sako gasona.
But ye know that through a weakness of the flesh I preached the good news to you the first time.
14 Ta sakoy intes metto gidinka tana saletibeykista woykko tana harisebeykista gido attiin inte tana Xoossa kiitancha malane hessafeka bollara Yesuss Kiristos mala moki ekidista.
And ye did not disdain, nor did ye reject my trial in my flesh, but ye received me as an agent of God, as Christ Jesus.
15 Histin hai he inte ufaysay awa gakiide? intes hanizaz gididako inte inte ayfe tas kees imanas inte guye gontaysa ta intes marikatays.
Where then is your satisfaction? For I testify to you, that if possible, having plucked your eyes out, ye would have given them to me.
16 Tani tuma kesa yotida gish inte morike gidadinasha?
So then have I become your enemy telling you the truth?
17 Heyti asati intena beko ekanas daburetes attiin loo7os daburetena. Isti koyzay intena nupe shakidi ba asa kesanas.
They are zealous for you but not honorably. They want to exclude you, so that ye may be zealous for them.
18 Loo7os mindatethi loo7oko hesika hananas besizay wuriso wode gidikofe attiin ta intenara diza wode xala gidena.
But to be zealous of is always good in a good thing, and not only when I am present with you.
19 Ta intena siqqiza ta nayto Kiristossay inte wozinan xafetin ta beyana gakanas inte gish ta miixatays.
My little children, of whom I suffer birth pains again until Christ is formed in you.
20 Ta inte gish qofan metotistadis. Ta dandaizako hai inte gidon bistada hanqo qalara intes yotizako aymala dosazina shin!
But I was wishing to be present with you now and to change my tone, because I am perplexed at you.
21 Omteno Muse wogga garisan aqana koyhayto ane tas yotite Muse woga ay gizakone siybeyketi?
Tell me those desiring to be under law, do ye not hear the law?
22 Abirames isay aydeype asay qase godaiyfe yelettida nam7u nayti dizaysi kase xafetides.
For it is written that Abraham had two sons, one from the servant girl, and one from the freewoman.
23 Ayleyfe yelettida nazi asho wogga mala yeletides hanko goqaype (Godateyfe) Yeletidaysa ufaysa qaala mala yeletides.
But in fact, the man from the servant girl was born according to flesh, but the man from the freewoman through promise.
24 hayti naam7u macashati nam7u caqota besiza gish haysi lemusos imetides. Koyro caqoya sina zuma bolla gidashe ayletethas gidiza nayti yeliizaro izaka agaro guussa.
Which things are allegorized, for these are two covenants, indeed one from mount Sinai giving birth for bondage, which is Hagar.
25 Hesa gish agara arvbe biitan diza sino zuma giish gidada hai diza Yerusaleme milataysu iza ba nazara ayletethan daysu.
For Hagar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and it corresponds to the present Jerusalem, and is in bondage with her children.
26 Pude bolla bagara diza Yerussalamey gidiko goqqa Goda daysu izaka nu ayiyo
But the Jerusalem above is free, which is mother of us all.
27 “Neni yelonta makaraye ufa7ista Hane miixata erontare Illil ga wassa Azinay dizarape balara Berka dizari nayti darida” geteti kasse xafetides.
For it is written, Rejoice, thou barren woman not giving birth. Burst forth and shout, thou not suffering birth pains, because many more are the children of the desolate than of her who has the husband.
28 Hesa gish ta ishato inteka Ysaqamala ufaysa qaala naytako.
Now we, brothers, who correspond to Isaac, are children of promise.
29 Asho shenemala kaseti yelettidaysi guyepe ayna woliqan yelettidaysa yedethides (godides) haiika godethan des.
But just as then, the man who was born according to flesh persecuted the man according to Spirit, so also now.
30 Gido attiin maxxafay qasse ay gize? “Ayleyo izi nazaragathi diiga ayley nay goqaynara latina” ges.
Nevertheless, what does the scripture say? Send away the servant girl and her son, for the son of the servant girl will, no, not inherit with the son of the freewoman.
31 Hesa gish ta ishato nuni goqay nayti attiin ayley nayta gikoka.
So then, brothers, we are not children of a servant girl, but of the freewoman.
