< Efesoone 2 >
1 Intene inte qohida qoho gishine inte nagara gason hayqodaytakkko shin,
He[F] raised you up as well, when you were dead in your transgressions and sins,
2 Hessa inte hayssa alameza ita ooge kalidista. Bolla cariko bolla diza woliqama harizaysas ha7ika Xoossas azazetonta asa bolla oothiza ita ayanas inte azazetishe deista. (aiōn )
in which you once walked, according to the Aeon of this world, the ruler of the domain of the air, the spirit who is now at work in the sons of the disobedience; (aiōn )
3 Haysafe kasse nuni nu asho amoteth polishe ashoy koyiza oge kallishe istara doos. Nuunikka hankko asa mala nu medhetethappe Xoossa hanqo garsan dookko shin,
among whom all of us also used to conduct ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the flesh and of the senses, and were by nature children of wrath, just like the rest.
4 Gido attiin Xoossi keehi siqida gish ba marotetha daron nuni nu qoho dartethan hayqidayta gidi diishin Kirstosa bagara nuna ashides. Inte paxxiday iza kiiyatethankko.
But God—being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us,
even when we were dead in our transgressions—made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved)
6 Xoossi nuna Kiristossara gathi denthides. Yesuss Kiristossa bagara nuna sallon benara utisides.
and raised us up together and seated us together in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus,
7 Hesika hayssafe guye yana wodezan Yesuss Kirisossay nuus ba kiiyatethan qonccisida zaway baynda ba kiiyatetha duretetha nuna besanas. (aiōn )
in order that in the coming ages He might display the surpassing riches of His grace, through His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. (aiōn )
8 Inte Xoossa kiyatethan amanon atidista. Hesikka Xoosi intes mela coo imidazape attiin inte oothoppe gidena.
For by grace you have been saved, through the Faith—and this not of yourselves, it is the gift of God—
9 Onika ceqetonta mala oothope gidena.
not by works, so that no one may boast.
10 Hesika Xoossi kasse koyro nus gigisi wothida loo7o ootho nuni oothanamala Yesuss Kiristossa bagara nuni nam7antho medhetidaytane Xoossi medhetethatakko.
You see, we are His ‘poem’, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared in advance in order that we should walk in them.
11 Hesa gish inte kase inte yeletethan amanonta dere asati inte asatetha bolla asa kushe ootho geedon nuni qaxaretidosu giza asati intena “qaxaretontayta” gizayto inte hessa ane wozinan wothiite.
So then, remember that once you physical Gentiles—called ‘uncircumcision’ by the so-called ‘circumcision’ (that made in flesh with hands)—
12 Inte he wode Kiristossape shaketidi Isra7ele naytape hakiidi caqqo qalaska alaga gididi hayssa alameza bolla ufaysine Xoosi baynda inte kasse dizaysa yushi qopiite.
that at that time you were apart from Christ, excluded from citizenship in Israel and strangers to the covenants of the promise, having no hope and without God in the world.
13 Ha7i qase inte kasse hanon dizayti Yesus Kiristossan gididi iza sutha bagara shiqidista.
But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have come to be near through the blood of the Christ.
14 Nam7ata isi bolla gathidi gidon shakiiza oosha goda lallida nu saroy izako.
For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one and broken down the barrier of separation—the law with its commandments and ordinances—
15 Wogga iza azazora gathi isife ba ashon sharides. Hessa izi oothida gasoy izas wana qofay nam7atape isi ooratha asa ba bagara medhidi sarotethi ehanasa.
having abolished the enmity through His ‘flesh’, so as to mold the two [Jew and Gentile] into one new man in Himself (thus making peace),
16 Izi masqale bolla hayqidi morketeth digides. Nam7atakka isi asho histidi Xoossara maqanthidees.
and to reconcile them both in one body to God through the cross (by which He killed the enmity).
17 Izi yidi intena haki dizaytasne matan dizaytas gathii sarotethi sabakiides.
He came and proclaimed peace to us, being both far and near,
18 Nu wurikka iza bagara isi ayanan awwa ach shiqqana danda7os.
because through Him we both have access to the Father, by one Spirit.
19 Hesa gish inte amanizaytara isife isi dere asanne Xoossas so asa attiin heysafe gyue betistane alaga gidekista.
So then, you are no longer strangers and aliens, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of God's household,
20 Inte Hawaristane nabeta baasan kexetidista, kethas worsetha qustey Yesus Kiristossakko.
built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone;
21 Kethzi wurikka isipe oyketidi Godas duma keth gidanas dicces.
in whom the whole building, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord;
22 Intenika Xoosi ba ayanan danas izas dusaso gidanamala isipe kexxetishe dista.
in whom you also are being built together to become a habitation of God in spirit.
