1 Qeessista halaqay Isxifanose “haysi ne bolla shiqqida yozi tuumee?” gi oychides.
૧ત્યારે પ્રમુખ યાજકે પૂછ્યું કે, “શું હકીકત આ પ્રમાણે છે?”
2 Isxxifanoseykka hizigides “Ta ishaato, ta awwato ta giizaysa siyite nu awa Abramey Kaarane yanappe kasse buro Mesophoxomiyan dishin bonncho Goday izas qonccidi
૨સ્તેફને કહ્યું કે, “ભાઈઓ તથા વડીલો, સાંભળો. આપણો પૂર્વજ ઇબ્રાહિમ હારાનમાં રહેવા આવ્યો તે અગાઉ તે મેસોપોટેમિયામાં રહેતો હતો, ત્યારે મહિમાવાન ઈશ્વરે તેને દર્શન આપીને

૩કહ્યું કે, ‘તું તારા દેશમાંથી તથા તારા સગામાંથી નીકળ, અને જે દેશ હું તને બતાવું તેમાં જઈને રહે’.

૪ત્યારે ખાલ્દી દેશમાંથી નીકળીને તે હારાનમાં જઈને વસ્યો, અને ત્યાં તેના પિતા અવસાન પામ્યા ત્યાર પછી આ દેશ જેમાં તમે હમણાં રહો છો, તેમાં ઈશ્વરે તેને લાવીને વસાવ્યો.
5 Haray atoshin issi toy eqiza gadey izas hayssafe immetibeyna. Gido attiin he wode izas issi naykka baynnida dishin izzine izappe guyen iza zerethi biittiyo laatana mala Xoossi izas ccaqqides.
૫તેમણે એ દેશમાં તેને કંઈ વતન આપ્યું નહિ; ના, એક પગલાભર પણ નહિ; અને જોકે હજી સુધી તેને સંતાન થયું નહોતું તોપણ તેમણે તેને તથા તેના પછી તેના વંશજોને વતન તરીકે આ દેશ આપવાનું વચન આપ્યું.

૬ઈશ્વરે તેને કહ્યું કે, તારા વંશજો પરદેશમાં રહેશે, અને ત્યાંના લોકો ચારસો વર્ષ સુધી તેઓને ગુલામગીરીમાં રાખીને દુઃખ આપશે.

૭વળી ઈશ્વરે કહ્યું કે, ‘તેઓ જે લોકોના ગુલામ થશે તેઓનો ન્યાય હું કરીશ, અને ત્યાર પછી તેઓ ત્યાંથી આવીને આ સ્થળે મારી સેવા કરશે.’
8 Hesafe guye qaxxara woga ccaqo izas immides. Abrameykka Yisaqa yellidi iza osppuntha gallasa qaxxarides. Yisaqayka Yaqobe yellides. Yaqobeykka tamane namm77u qomota yellides.
૮પરમેશ્વરે તેને સુન્નતનો કરાર ઠરાવી આપ્યો; ત્યાર પછી ઇબ્રાહિમથી ઇસહાક થયો, તેણે આઠમે દિવસે તેની સુન્નત કરી; પછી ઇસહાકથી યાકૂબ થયો, અને યાકૂબથી બાર પૂર્વજો થયા.

૯પછી પૂર્વજોએ યૂસફ પર અદેખાઈ રાખીને તેને મિસરમાં લઈ જવા સારુ વેચી દીધો; પણ ઈશ્વર તેની સાથે હતા,
10 meto wursofe iza ashides. Gibxe kawo Faaronne sinthan bonncho qumma7isides. Faronney iza Gibxe biitaninne ba keeththa asa wurso bolla alafethethan shuumiides.
૧૦તેમણે તેનાં સર્વ સંકટોમાંથી તેને છોડાવ્યો અને મિસરના રાજા ફારુનની સમક્ષ તેને વિદ્વતા તથા કૃપા આપી. પછી ફારુને તેને મિસર પર તથા પોતાના સમગ્ર પરિવાર પર અધિકારી ઠરાવ્યો.
11 He wode Kanaaneninne Gibixen daro metto ehida gita koshay dennidides. Nu awataskka miza kaathi dhayides.
૧૧પછી આખા મિસરમાં તથા કનાનમાં દુકાળ પડ્યો, જેથી ભારે સંકટ આવ્યું, અને આપણા પૂર્વજોને ખાવાનું મળ્યું નહિ.
12 Yaqobey Giibixe deren kaathi dizayssa siyiddi nu aawata koyyro Gibxe yediides.
૧૨પણ યાકૂબે જાણ્યું કે મિસરમાં અનાજ છે, ત્યારે તેણે આપણા પૂર્વજોને પ્રથમ વાર મિસરમાં મોકલ્યા.
13 Istti nam77antho biza wode Yosefoy izi oonakkone bena ba ishatas qonccisides. Faroneykka Yosefo ishshata erides.
૧૩પછી બીજી વાર યૂસફે પોતાના ભાઈઓની આગળ પોતાની ઓળખાણ આપી; એટલે યુસફનું કુળ ફારુનના જાણવામાં આવ્યું.
14 Hessafe guye Yosefoy kiitidi ba aawa Yaqobenne laappuun tamane ichachu gidiza ba dabota kuummeth ehiisides.
૧૪ત્યારે યૂસફે સંદેશો મોકલીને પોતાના પિતા યાકૂબને તથા પોતાનાં સર્વ સગાંને, એટલે પંચોતેર માણસને પોતાની પાસે તેડાવ્યાં.
૧૫યાકૂબ મિસરમાં ગયો, અને ત્યાં તે તથા આપણા પૂર્વજો અવસાન પામ્યા.
16 Ista ahaykka Seekkeme gizaso ehaaththain Abramey Eemore nayytappe ba miishan shammida duhaaththaon moggettides.
૧૬તેઓને શખેમ લઈ જવામાં આવ્યા, ને જે કબરસ્તાન ઇબ્રાહિમે રૂપાનાણું આપીને હમોરના દીકરાઓ પાસેથી વેચાતું લીધું હતું તેમાં દફનાવ્યાં.
17 Xoossi Abrames caaqqida qalay polletiza wodey maatishin Gibixen diza nu asa qodday dari dari bides.
૧૭પણ જે વચન ઈશ્વરે ઇબ્રાહિમને આપ્યું હતું, તેનો સમય જેમ જેમ પાસે આવતો ગયો તેમ તેમ મિસરમાં આપણાં લોકોની વૃદ્ધિ થઈ અને તેઓની સંખ્યા પુષ્કળ થઈ.
18 Hesafe guye Gibixe bitan yoosefo eronta hara kawoy kawotides.
૧૮એવામાં મિસરમાં એક બીજો રાજા થયો, જે યૂસફને ઓળખતો નહોતો.
19 Izikka nu asa ba geene oothon metoothides. Buuro yelletida guutha naytti hayqqana malane yelliidayta kare kessi wora yeganamala wolliqathides.
૧૯તેણે આપણા લોકોની સાથે કપટ કરીને આપણા પૂર્વજોને દુઃખ દીધું, એટલે તેઓનાં બાળકો જીવે નહિ માટે, તેઓને તેમની પાસે નાખી દેવડાવ્યાં.

૨૦તે અરસામાં મૂસાનો જન્મ થયો, તે ઈશ્વર સમક્ષ ઘણો સુંદર હતો; પોતાના પિતાના ઘરમાં ત્રણ મહિના સુધી તેનું પાલન થયું;

૨૧પછી તેને નદીમાં તજી દેવાયો. ત્યારે ફારુનની દીકરીએ તેને અપનાવી લીધો અને પોતાના દીકરા તરીકે તેનો ઉછેર કર્યો.

૨૨મૂસાને મિસરીઓની સર્વ વિદ્યા શીખવવામાં આવી હતી; તે બોલવામાં બાહોશ તથા કાર્ય કરવામાં પરાક્રમી હતો.
23 “Muse laaythi ooydu tamu gida wode Musey ba ishata Isira7elle nayta beyanas ba wozinan qoppides.
૨૩પણ તે લગભગ ચાળીસ વર્ષનો થયો ત્યારે તેને પોતાના ઇઝરાયલી ભાઈઓને મળવાનું મન થયું.
24 Izikka isi Giibixe assi Muse baga asappe isi ura bolla qooho gaathishin beyiddi ba bagga adeza madidi he Gibxe adeza wodhidi he qoheetidayssa hallo keesides.
૨૪તેઓમાંના એક પર અન્યાય થતો જોઈને મૂસાએ તેની સહાય કરી, અને મિસરીને મારી નાખીને પોતાના જે ભાઈ પર જુલમ થતો હતો તેનું વૈર વાળ્યું.
25 Muses Xoossi iza kushshen issta wozanayssa iza asay akekkiza millatides. Gido atiin issti hessa yuushi qoppibeyteena.
૨૫ઈશ્વર મારી હસ્તક તેઓનો છુટકારો કરશે, એમ મારા ભાઈઓ સમજતા હશે, એવું તેણે ધાર્યું; પણ તેઓ સમજ્યા નહિ.
26 Wontetha gallas qasekka Isira7elle naytappe nam7ati ba garssan oyeetishin gakkidi oyetizayta iginthanas koyydi (haytto asato inte inte garssan ishantakko, inte wannidi issay issa qoheetii?) gides.
૨૬તેને બીજે દિવસે તેઓમાં ઝઘડો ચાલતો હતો તે સમયે મૂસા તેઓની પાસે આવ્યો તેણે તેઓની વચ્ચે સલાહ કરાવવાની ઇચ્છાથી કહ્યું કે, ‘ભલા માણસો, તમે ભાઈઓ છો તો શા માટે એકબીજા પર અન્યાય ગુજારો છો?’
27 Be lageza bolla qoho gathidaysi Muse suggi yeggidi (Nena nu bolla nuna haarizadene nu bolla piridizade oothi shuumiday oonee? woykko qamma Gibxe adeza wodhoyssatho tannaka wodhana koyaazii?) gides.
૨૭પણ જે પોતાના પડોશી પર અન્યાય ગુજારતો હતો તેણે તેને ધક્કો મારીને કહ્યું કે, ‘અમારા પર તને કોણે અધિકારી તથા ન્યાયાધીશ નીમ્યો છે?
૨૮પેલા મિસરીને તેં ગઈકાલે મારી નાખ્યો તેમ શું તું મને પણ મારી નાખવા ઇચ્છે છે?’
29 Musey hessa siyidda mala Midiyame biitta beettidi hen bete ass gidi deyyides. Heenkka nam77u atuma na yeellides.
૨૯મૂસા આ વાત સાંભળીને નાસી ગયો, અને મિદ્યાન દેશમાં જઈને વસ્યો, ત્યાં તેને બે દીકરા થયા.
30 Hessafe oydu tammu laythafe guuye Siina zuma achchan diza bazza biittan qerii worra gidon exxiizza taamma laccon kiitannchay izas bettides.
૩૦ચાળીસ વર્ષ પૂરાં થયાં ત્યારે સ્વર્ગદૂતે સિનાઈ પહાડના અરણ્યમાં ઝાડવાં મધ્યે અગ્નિની જ્વાળામાં તેને દર્શન દીધું.
31 Museykka iza beeydamala mallaleetides. Azakone shaki eranas izzi he izako shiqqishin Goda qalay “tanni ne awannta Xoossa abirame Yisaqane Yaqobe Xoossa gishin siydees. Museykka daro dagammides, xeellanaskka xalibeyna.
૩૧મૂસા તે દ્રશ્ય જોઈને આશ્ચર્ય પામ્યો; અને તે એ દ્રશ્યને જોવા સારુ પાસે જતો હતો તેવામાં પ્રભુની વાણી થઈ કે,
૩૨‘હું તારા પૂર્વજોનો ઈશ્વર, એટલે ઇબ્રાહિમનો, ઇસહાકનો તથા યાકૂબનો ઈશ્વર છું.’ ત્યારે મૂસા ધ્રૂજી ઊઠ્યો અને તેને જોવાની તેની જીગર ચાલી નહિ.
33 Godaykka izas hayssi ne eqqidasoy geeshaso gidiida gish ne toope ccamma shoda. Gibxen diza ta dereta waye ta tuumappe beyadis. Issti wasiza issta waye waso siiyada ista ashshanas woodhdhadis. Ne ha7ikka haya ta nena duge Giibixe zarada kiitana gides.
૩૩પ્રભુએ તેને કહ્યું કે, ‘તું તારા પગમાંથી ચંપલ ઉતાર; કેમ કે જે જગ્યાએ તું ઊભો છે તે પવિત્ર ભૂમિ છે.
૩૪મિસરમાં જે મારા લોક છે તેઓનું દુઃખ મેં નિશ્ચે જોયું છે, તેઓના નિસાસા મેં સાંભળ્યાં છે, અને તેઓને છોડાવવાં હું ઊતર્યો છું; હવે ચાલ, હું તને મિસરમાં મોકલીશ.’
35 Histtin heyyti (nu bolla neena haarizadenne piridizade histti ooni shuumedee?) giidi asay kaase kadhdhida Musse Xoossi qeeri woora gidon izas beetida kiitancha bagara issta haarizadenne ashizade hisitidi istaako zarri yeedides.
૩૫જે મૂસાનો નકાર કરીને તેઓએ કહ્યું હતું કે, ‘તને કોણે અધિકારી તથા ન્યાયાધીશ નીમ્યો છે?’ તેને જે સ્વર્ગદૂત તેને ઝાડવાં મધ્યે દેખાયો હતો તેની હસ્તક ઈશ્વરે અધિકારી તથા ઉદ્ધારક થવા સારુ મોકલ્યો.
36 Izikka ista kallethidi Gibxeppe keesides. Gibxen, zo7o abbanine bazo biittan oyydu taammu laythi daro mallalsiza miishatane gita malatata istas oothides.
૩૬મૂસાએ તેઓને બહાર લાવતાં મિસર દેશમાં, સૂફ લાલ સમુદ્રમાં તથા ચાળીસ વર્ષ સુધી અરણ્યમાં આશ્ચર્યકર્મો તથા ચમત્કારિક ચિહ્નો કર્યા.
37 Isrra7elle nayytas ta mala nabe Xoossi inte garsafe dennthana gidaysi hayssa Musekko.
૩૭જે મૂસાએ ઇઝરાયલીઓને કહ્યું હતું કે, ‘ઈશ્વર તમારા ભાઈઓમાંથી મારા જેવા એક પ્રબોધકને તમારે સારુ ઊભા કરશે,’ તે એ જ છે.
38 Izikka Siina zuma bolla hassa7ida kitancharanne bazo biitan nu awatara dere dullata giidon dees. Deyyo qalakka ha nuus aathanas ekkides.
૩૮જે મૂસા અરણ્યમાંના સમુદાયમાં હતો, જેની સાથે સિનાઈ પર્વત પર ઈશ્વરનો સ્વર્ગદૂત વાત કરતો હતો, અને આપણા પૂર્વજોની સાથે હતો તે એ જ છે; અને આપણને આપવા સારું તેને જીવનનાં વચનો આપવામાં આવ્યાં;
39 Nu awati gidiko izara eqqetida attiin izas azazistanas koyoonta gish ba wozinara guuye Giibbxe simmida.
૩૯આપણા પૂર્વજોએ તેને આધીન થવાને ઇચ્છ્યું નહિ, પણ પોતાની પાસેથી તેને હડસેલી મૂક્યો, અને તેઓ પાછા મિસર જવાને મનમાં આતુર થયા;
40 Aarooneskka (Nu sinnthara biiza eeqqa nus gigisa nuna Giibbixefe kaallethi kessida Musey wanidako nu erroko) giida.
૪૦તેઓએ હારુનને કહ્યું કે, ‘અમારી આગળ ચાલવા સારુ અમારે માટે દેવો બનાવ; કેમ કે એ મૂસા જે અમને મિસરમાંથી દોરી લાવ્યો તેનું શું થયું એ અમે જાણતા નથી.’

૪૧તે દિવસોમાં તેઓએ સોનાનું વાછરડું બનાવ્યું, અને મૂર્તિને તેનું બલિદાન ચઢાવ્યું, અને પોતાના હાથની કૃતિમાં તેઓ હર્ષ પામ્યા.
42 Gido attiin Xoossi isttas zokko zarides. Isti sallo xollinntistas goynana mala aththi immides. Hesikka nabbista mxxaafan “inteno Isra7elle nayto inte baazo biittan oyddu tamu layth diza wode intefe yarshone muuna tas shishi ereetii?
૪૨પણ ઈશ્વરે તેઓથી વિમુખ થઈને તેઓને તજી દીધાં, કે તેઓ આકાશના સૈન્યની પૂજા કરે; પ્રબોધકોના પુસ્તકમાં લખ્યું છે તે પ્રમાણે, ‘ઓ ઇઝરાયલના વંશજો, અરણ્યમાં ચાળીસ વર્ષ સુધી શું તમે યજ્ઞ તથા બલિદાનો મને ચઢાવ્યાં હતાં?
43 Harappekka inte goynanaso othiida eeqqa Molookke dunkenane inte eqqa Refanne xollinnte misile dhoqu dhoqu hissti oykkidista. Hessa gisha ta intena inte dizasoppe dennthada Babiloonera aatha yeddana.” geetetidi xaahaaththaetides.
૪૩તમે મોલોખનો માંડવો તથા રમ્ફા દેવનો તારો, એટલે કે પૂજા કરવાને તમે જે મૂર્તિઓ બનાવી તેઓને ઊંચકીને ચાલ્યા. હવે હું તમને બાબિલથી આગળ લઈ જઈશ.’
44 Xoossi Muse bessida lemmusoza malane azazzidayssa mala oothetida Xoossi asara gagiza dunkkaneya nu awatara baazzo biittan deyadus.
૪૪જેમણે મૂસાને કહ્યું કે, જે નમૂનો તેં નિહાળ્યો છે તે પ્રમાણે તારે સાક્ષ્યમંડપ બનાવવો, તેમના ઠરાવ મુજબ અરણ્યમાં આપણા પૂર્વજોની પાસે તે સાક્ષ્યમંડપ હતો.
45 Nu aawati dunkeneyo ekkidayssappe guye Xoossi Iyaaso kallethin kaase ista gooddida dereta lattida wode dunnkaneyo ekki geellida. Dawite wode gakanas dunkaneyaa he biittan deyadus.
૪૫આપણા પૂર્વજો, યહોશુઆ સહિત આ સાક્ષ્યમંડપને પોતાના ક્રમાનુસાર ઊંચકીને અન્ય દેશજાતિઓનું જેઓને ઈશ્વરે આપણા પૂર્વજોની આગળથી હાંકી કાઢી તેઓનું વતન પ્રાપ્ત કરીને તેમાં લાવ્યા તે સાક્ષ્યમંડપ દાઉદના સમય સુધી રહ્યો.
46 Dawiteykka Xoossa sinthan boncho demidi Yaqoobe Godas aqqoso gigisanas woossides.
૪૬દાઉદ પર ઈશ્વરની કૃપાદ્રષ્ટિ થઈ; તેમણે યાકૂબના ઈશ્વરને સારુ ઘર બનાવવાની રજા માગી.
47 Gido attiin Solmoney izas aqoso kexides.
૪૭પણ સુલેમાને તેમને સારુ ભક્તિસ્થાન નિર્માણ કર્યું.
48 Gido attiin woogga Goday asa kushey keexida keeththan deena. Hesikka nabey (salloy ta zuuppane biittaykka tas tos shemmposo, hiistiin inte tas ay mala keeth kexxeti woykko ta shemmppanasoy awaysse? Hayssa wursi ta kuushshey oothibeynnee? gees Goday) getetti xafetida mala.
૪૮તોપણ હાથે બાંધેલા ઘરમાં પરાત્પર ઈશ્વર રહેતા નથી; જેમ પ્રબોધક કહે છે તેમ,
૪૯‘સ્વર્ગ મારું રાજ્યાસન, તથા પૃથ્વી મારું પાયાસન છે; તો તમે મારે સારુ કેવું નિવાસસ્થાન બાંધશો? એમ ઈશ્વર કહે છે અથવા મારું નિવાસસ્થાન કયું હોય?
૫૦શું, મેં મારે હાથે એ બધાં નથી બનાવ્યાં?’
51 Inteno wozana mumeto, haytha tuleto, intekka inte aawata amala wursio wode Xiillo Ayanara eqateista.
૫૧ઓ સખત હઠીલાઓ, અને બેસુન્નત મન તથા કાનવાળાઓ, તમે સદા પવિત્ર આત્માની સામા થાઓ છો. જેમ તમારા પૂર્વજોએ કર્યું તેમ જ તમે પણ કરો છો.
52 Nbistappe inte aawati gooddonnta naabey oonee? Xiillozi yanayssa kasseti yottida nabetakka wodhida intekka ha7i izza aathi immidistane wodhidista.
૫૨પ્રબોધકોમાંના કોને તમારા પૂર્વજોએ સતાવ્યા નહોતા? જેઓએ તે ન્યાયીના આવવા વિષે અગાઉથી ખબર આપી હતી તેઓને તેઓએ મારી નાખ્યા; અને હવે તમે, જેઓને સ્વર્ગદૂતો દ્વારા નિયમ મળ્યો, પણ તમે તે પાળ્યો નહિ.
53 Kitanncha bagara intes immetida woga ekkidista attiin naggibeykista.” Isxxifanosey Shuchchan Cadeti Hayqidess.
૫૩તે તમે, તે ન્યાયીને પરસ્વાધીન કરનારા તથા તેમની હત્યા કરનારા થયા છો.”
54 Duulatan diza asay hessa siydamala daro hanqitidi, iza bolla ba achche gariccides.
૫૪આ વાતો સાંભળીને તેઓનાં મન વીંધાઈ ગયા, અને તેઓ તેની સામે દાંત પીસવા લાગ્યા.
55 Gidinkka Isxxifanosey Xiillo Ayanan kummidine puude salo tish histi xeellishin Xoossa bonchon Yesussay Xoossa oshachan eqqidayssa beydi “Heeko ta saaloy doyeetidayssane asa nay Xoossa ushachan eqqiidayssa beyays” gidees.
૫૫પણ પવિત્ર આત્માથી ભરપૂર થઈને સ્તેફને સ્વર્ગ તરફ એક નજરે જોઈ રહેતાં, ઈશ્વરનું ગૌરવ તથા ઈશ્વરને જમણે હાથે ઈસુને ઊભેલા જોયા.
૫૬તેણે કહ્યું કે, “જુઓ, સ્વર્ગ ઊઘડેલું તથા ઈશ્વરને જમણે હાથે માણસના દીકરાને ઊભેલા હું જોઉં છું.”

૫૮તેઓએ તેને શહેરની બહાર લઈ જઈને માર્યો; સાક્ષીઓએ શાઉલ નામે એક જુવાનનાં પગ આગળ પોતાનાં વસ્ત્રો મૂક્યાં હતાં.
